  1. Haha, I didn't mean to give you more work but happy to have contributed if it makes the end product better!
  2. Sounds good! Can't wait to see what you put together.
  3. Ah, sorry, didn't realize he did that!
  4. Hi Reflected! I am extremely hyped for Speed & Angels after watching the movie and then listening to the Tomcast episode about the movie (which has a nice shout-out for the upcoming DCS campaign at the end!). I saw your YouTube post from a few days ago, which makes it look like we'll be graded on all parts of the Case I pattern. I have to assume that we'll be graded on other things throughout the campaign--what I'm wondering is, will there be some included practice missions that focus on the graded parts so we can practice a bit before going through the full missions?
  5. IIRC ChillNG already released the first mission for free. Search around and you should find it.
  6. I get this all the time on the KC-130 (but never on the other refueling aircraft). Just ignore it; it doesn't affect your ability to actually get fuel.
  7. I didn't save the track, because I didn't realize this was a bug until watching the (attached) Tacview replay. On the latest OB, I (pilot) launched an AIM-54C Mk60 at a MiG-29S in TWS Auto, targeting done by Jester. Range was approximately 33.7 nm, essentially head-on, both aircraft doing about 0.9M. I was at 26,400 ft, target was about 15-16,000 ft. Upon launch, the Phoenix launched, climbed, and then almost immediately began a hard left turn away from the target. Within about 40 seconds after launch, it was pointing almost directly away from the target, and it held this heading until the end of the mission. In the cockpit, there were no indications that I had lost the lock at any point (until I began violent maneuvering to avoid the missiles the MiGs fired at me). From the front seat, everything up to that point seemed like it had gone perfectly. AIM-54C Bug.zip.acmi
  8. Can confirm.
  9. Bonjour, My French isn't good enough to answer, but I think I understood the question. My guess is that you have the option enabled that, in English, is called "Historical list of units." I'm not sure what that's called in French, but, if you look at the bottom bar in the map editor, there are two icons near the center of the bar. One looks like a tank, the other looks like a watch. Click the watch button and see if that changes the unit availability. (I know you said you changed the dates a lot, but the Mirage F1 is still very early access and it looks like this is a common issue with many modules.)
  10. This, for me, worked really well. As someone who went from "refueling is the worst and I can't do it at all" to "oh boy, a mission that requires AAR! Time to show off my skills!" in the last year, I would recommend not doing marathon sessions, but rather just doing 15 minutes a day, every single day. This way, instead of having hours of frustration pile up, you will usually come away with 1-3 problems to solve (or at least work on), which presents itself in a much more manageable way. Just try to do a little bit better than you did the day before and you'll improve in no time.
  11. That explains a lot--user error! I think in the heat of the moment, I got my comm plan bits switched around and just tried Ch4, because that was what it was on Pri. Sorry about that!
  12. Lol, oh well. Thanks for checking!
  13. In missions and bonus tasking that require a show of force, how low do we have to fly? I was trying to fly near treetop level, but I wonder if I am overdoing it!
  14. Yeah--this seemed like a DCS bug rather than anything under the ME's control, but still thought I'd mention it just in case you see it again!
  15. Just finished the first mission, seemed like a great intro and I'm very excited for what's to come! I have a bit of feedback on two issues, one minor, the other, a bit less minor The minor one is that I would suggest to either delay Poodle's request to confirm the ID on the MiGs, or give the player a third dialogue option. He got annoyed that I didn't respond immediately, but it wasn't that I had no joy--the issue was that I didn't yet have a positive ID of the target. They were still so far away that even at max FLIR zoom (and high MFD resolution) they just looked like a pair of dots. Might be nice to have an option to say "Tally the bogeys but no ID yet" or something like that. Or just delay his request to ID them, which would not require recording any additional dialogue. The bigger (but still very minor) issue was, upon trying to return to the CAP route, Poodle just kept getting slower and slower. He got down to Mach 0.18 (according to Tacview) and struggled to stay airborne for a bit. Then he magically fixed himself and rocketed away, much faster than I could catch up with him even in mil power! Turned out to not be significant but it was very jarring.
  16. Haha I would not rule that out!
  17. This would likely only solve minor corner cases, but still: consider making Dutch invulnerable, at least during the phase where you're tangling with the helos. One of the Mi-8s actually shot him down when I played it last, and I doubt that's an intentional outcome! (It was a really embarassing showing from us Navy flyboys--we fired four AIM-9s and 200 rounds of cannon at the Hips, didn't hit with anything and lost one of the Hornets!)
  18. What exactly is going wrong? "They don't seem to do anything"--as in, they don't release, they don't detonate, they detonate but do no damage, or something else? Have you tried replicating the issues you're encountering in a more controlled environment, say, on a range somewhere?
  19. Oh yes. This looks amazing! Can't wait!
  20. Personally, I like the text (admittedly, I don't play in VR), but if even you (SorelRo) are concerned about it, then maybe not all of the messages should have subtitles! I would recommend some sort of text when the narrative text starts, though--perhaps the first line of narration should have subtitles followed by (CONTINUED BY AUDIO ONLY) or something like that. I have somewhat limited DCS time, so I often use time compression, and I don't want to miss any of the dialogue while I'm turning off the time compression.
  21. I'm sure this has been done, but only very rarely. The Harriers are USMC only, so unless there's a Navy-Marine Corps pilot exchange program, probably the only way to do this is to change services, which, again, does happen but is very rare.
  22. "1" in the panel means you're using preset 1. It doesn't show the frequency unless you're tuning the radio manually.
  23. It would be nice to have it by default, but you can do it yourself: 1. Go to "users\[your user name on your PC]\Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard" 2. Create a folder entitled "Mirage-F1CE" if one isn't already there 3. Ensure that the image file has a 1:1.5 aspect ratio (and modify it using an image editor if it isn't) 4. Copy and paste the 1:1.5 image into the folder you just created And it should appear in your kneeboard after the default Aerges kneeboards!
  24. Yep, that's what I did. Thank heavens ED introduced the "skip mission" feature...
  25. Cool, no rush! I already completed the above missions, so I don't need a fix urgently or anything anyway.
