Expectation on Air to Air missiles of the MiG-29A?

Would be nice to have them all, but I am afraid it will be a limited selection... -
Expectation on Air to Air missiles of the MiG-29A?
okopanja replied to pepin1234's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
The ground weapons were limited for the 9.12a and 9.12b: they were not true multi role. It included a small selection of bombs, unguided rockets and cluster ammo. Later upgrades to the same airframes did bring more. E.g. Kh-31p null -

That is kind of a simplistic view. You can get the idea if there are additional aircraft in group, or even at a bit different distances.

Dedicated Server Performance Degraded on Virtual Machines?
okopanja replied to Actium's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
On some hypervisors there is a known issue that even if the VM gets initial time from host, over the time it leads to time drift. So first thing would be to make sure that there is no drift betwean host and vm. -

Hardened Aircraft Shelters and Bunkers Strenght
okopanja replied to MBot's topic in Bugs and Problems
That is without any explosion. HAS has protective effects but not as originally thought. Will post some more pictures. HAS will work for many of the non-direct hits and against sub-munitions. Precise hits in most cases lead to destruction. Will try to post of these so people realize that HAS is proven not to be a magic solution. The only thing that worked well are underground shelters built deeper inside mountain sides. One of the most interesting examples was Air Defense HQ, under Strazevica Hill, which was targeted with heavy bombs on daily basis. -

Hardened Aircraft Shelters and Bunkers Strenght
okopanja replied to MBot's topic in Bugs and Problems
In general HAS offer only limitted protection. Here is the example of Mk-84 penetrating the shelter without exploding. It caused minor damage to J-22 from concrete splinters. Just to give idea how much kinetic energy alone can make damage. https://www.mycity-military.com/Avioni/J-22-Orao_369.html The large hole on roof was from another event, when no aircraft was inside. Pilot of Yugoslav Mig-29 stating he used dogon mode in combat. Btw its also in the manual.

The issue here is that once you sell to a customer the product, it is troublesome to vhange that later. My view on FC3 is no more such aircrafts. FF F-15a would be great, independently from FC3.

Why would I accept to convert my FC3 F-15c into F-15a. I paid for the C

Soviets tried to sell them compromosed Mig-25s and missiles, Iraqi demanded PDs, and they got them, which proved useful later.

Correct, but more importantly: not all countries have the safety lane. Especially older "highways" did not have it.

The width of the Authobahn is not the same as today. Especially in DDR, where for long the width was same as before WW2

P-12 and P-18 can be and were used with SA-3 as well. As for P-14 was used in 1999 and damaged in the first attack wave near Pancevo by means of cruise missiles. While great range, it is poor when it comes to moving, it's most critical fault. No causalities since it was willingly sacrificed. In following days the repeated attacks saw a definite end to it.

Cruise missiles are invisible to the radar
okopanja replied to Northstar98's topic in Bugs and Problems
This is all fine, but it still sounds like a table based approach, employed by FC3, and we should nit ecourage that with FF. Btw the range you gave hornet exceeds the range f15c(better radar) detected mig-29(higher RCS) in 1999. So yes there are huge variations in practical range compared to what you get in ideal case. Furthermore this will still be changed in future. -

Idea: how about doing a calculation based on ED's white paper? Also if I recall correctly phase 3 rework is not yet completed, so probably bug report should be checked afterwards. -
@Flappie I gather you manage to reproduce now with some effort, but see screenshots from Tor SAM i spawned which apparently was the source of the broken texture. I believe there was a similar reported problem with one of the desert textures for KUB or Tor.
