  1. The MiG-29 is an abyssmal part of a module stuck in SFM only very few people want to touch. That is the problem and it always did lack endurance and payload.
  2. I can't see how the incomign hangar of NATO Planes can keep the game runnign in MP. I for my part am usually quiterepuslsed by the upcoming "France" vs. the rest of the world or Russia vs. Ukraine scenarios one is forced to to since the 1984 Su-27, 1981 Su-25, 1970 MiG-21 and the horrible SFM MiG-29 can provide an worthy and enjoyable opponent in MP any longer. Right now its already late NATO 90's vs. soviet early 80s in regards to combat aircraft.
  3. No, it's just that 30 years of PC simming have tought me to stay as far away as possible from anything with a "beta" in it for may nerves healths sake.
  4. EECH, Enemy Engaged: Comanche vs. Hokum had the best Dynamic Campaign I have experienced so far. Due to the rather small scale and the automated action camera I spend hours watching the battle develop without taking part myself. The key features were reducing the enemies strategic capabilities. The campaign mainly evolved around capturing towns, factories, FARPs and Airfields. Fpr that purpose you could direct the ground forces using the tactical map and fly support in a attck helo for them. Destroying bridges could halt the enemy advance ad stop your own advance in the same turn. The real fun part was to play that campaign in multiplayer against another player doing the same. One of my favorites was flying escort for Insertion missions were transsport helos would unload Infanrty at the targert area that would secure the area und turn it into yours.
  5. Su-25 not T, that's the best plane to get startet in my opinion. Is that way and was that way since LOMAC
  6. I doubt that. We can consider us happy if 1.5 manages go to official release this year.
  7. I don't know about the L-39 but what you describe is already a feature of both the Su-25 variants already. When you dont give the INS enough time on the ground to allign (2-3 Minutes) it will show wrong angles in ADI and Attitude indicator after some hard manouvers.
  8. it is easier to set two of the CH throttle buttons on the throttle grip to throttle down left or right engine. Same effect by better Ergonomics
  9. DCS does not model Armor thickness it uses hitpoints. It does not care where you hit something. If you want to care about armor thickness and attack angles you need to play Warthunder free to play MMO. Magically a Free2play game can do where DCS fails.
  10. The Su-25 gun does not work against ful blown MBT but BRDM, BTR and BMP are no problem
  11. For the same reason there never was and will never be a realistic F-22 Simulation in the next 25 Years. And even the planned DCS:Typhoon Module will use a lot of guesstimates even tho the Devs know better but are not allowed to use the classified data.
  12. DCS is indeed lacking a lot of "game" content and a stable but that's it. DCS is indeed a bad and boring and even repetetive "game", even FSX has more "game content". But as a modern Combat Flight Simulation DCS is without alternative.
  14. That was a neat feature already working back in Flamings Cliffs
  15. It is a well known fact that Saitek quality has gone down the drain after the takeover by Madcatz. The last decent HOTAS was the X52Pro still from SAITEK not MADCATZ. The problem don't show up immedeately but on long term. I used my X52Pro for 8 Years extensicly and have to switch to CH Products again (was my first Flightstick brand in the 90's) because that X55 is no alternative if you want a lasting product.
  16. Well, basically we wanted it back since it got lost with DCS:KA-50. But now the Terrain is more current than ever before.
  17. Yes, to turn it off completly. Why is there so much demand fpr features that make the game like seen through a cheap smartphoen camera. Blur and Bloom and Lens Flares are camera effects and can not be seen by a naked eye.
  18. Rise of Flight has a plethora of Pilot animations from poiting directions to formtian gestures...it really works in Multiplayer, but those planes all have open cockpits so the pilot is visible from nearly all aspects.
  19. Brings up the questions why so many people migrate to an unstable version of the game
  20. Janes F/A-18 had SAR missions for AI build in. ALl you had to do was assign a SAR TAsk to an Helicopter.IF your Wingman had to eject he would tell you so and after he reached the ground he would ask for SAR. If enemy ground forces were near he would also say: "Enemy near I'm hiding." As soon as the SAR was on sight the unit did pop smoke. I cant believe that such detail was a default feature in a Sim made in 1999 and still is not in DCS because now we even have Player controlled aircraft suited for SAR.
  21. Its simple. Publiv MP does not exist in this game. All I see most of the time is empty servers or locked ones with no hint how to get the password.
  22. Boats yes, but ships rather not. The rivers we have on the Caucasus maps are not deep enough for anything like a destrover or even a corvette. But I dont see what should keep the ships from working on the big lakes. We can see larger ships on even medium sized lakes or reservoirs all day RL.
  23. While this might work in the real world I guess the signal flares in DCS are simply not programed to work as a decoy.
  24. The Su-25 can't dump fuel! Is has no afterburner ring that is used for that and no fuel dump vent. The only way to get rid of internal fuel is to burn it. On the other hand the Su-27 internal fuel s not that much. Regarding the weight issue. if you look at actual fotis of Su-25 you will se them fly off rarely with all pylons loaded. in a real airforce you send more planes instead of loading them up to maxium. The best way to slow the approach in the Su-25 is to keep the nice up at descent. This seems to have more effect than using the airbrakes in DCS. As you can see here this "fully armed" su-27 over te baltivc sea in 2014 still has two pylons empty. http://www.google.de/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Ftheaviationist.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2014%2F06%2FSu-27-RAF-Typhoon.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Ftheaviationist.com%2F2014%2F06%2F18%2Ftyphoon-intercept-su-27%2F&h=532&w=960&tbnid=0eutbjpxFQZS8M%3A&docid=vN028UlEZU6nJM&ei=bqshVuKuO8v9aZOdgdAD&tbm=isch&iact=rc&uact=3&dur=1457&page=1&start=0&ndsp=28&ved=0CH0QrQMwFmoVChMI4p34kLTIyAIVy34aCh2TTgA6
  25. You can, because ArmA III is using the same base engine and already comes close. And Waves definately affect the boats in ArmA III nd you do not need a super computer but just a decent gaming rig to run it. there is no magic involved, just NVidia PhysiX.
