And say bye bye to multiplayer in a game I use for that purpose solely.

4. The Su-27S has no in flight refueling capability.

The main problem hereby is more that we all will be forced to use a incomplete beta very soon since the fully working sfm SU-27 will be gone forever in 5 days.

[User error] Su-27 gear doesn't retract properly
Beagle One replied to kontiuka's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Additionally, the F-15C for DCS does not know that problem nd youbcant damage the F-15C gear with aisspeed enough to not beeing able to retract...which is EVEN stranger anyway since it retracts FORWARD. -
The F-15C that comes with FC3 is indeed still labeled BETA. On the topic. the maximum range of the misiles is stated as MAXIMUM range not the range under all circumstances...the 30nm/55km figure is for a large target the size of a bomber heading straight at you at 42.000 feet with you as the launchgn plattform doing mach 1.5 at 48.000 feet...not exactly that number, just to give you a picture of what to exspect. Down low fired at a manouvering target the missile will not only miss a lot but simply loose all energy very fast due to high drag and high G manouvers. While the missile behaviour is far from perfect in DCS, especially the strange and unefficient intercept patterns, the ranges in the conditions above seem to work right. btw: It seems to me you don't understand the effect of altitude and target aspect on missile range.

Nuclear weapons in DCS (what wouldn't you like to see?)
Beagle One replied to Avimimus's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
This poll ist disgusting! Why is it still up? -
I was never able to make out any difference beetween the two. so maybe its just marketing.

No he's absolutely right about that. Caused by the amount of hp by Liter of cylinder displacement. The industry is at a point where they squeeze more than 100hp out of 2 cylinder 800ccm engines. The components in such an engien suffer from high wear and have lots of thermic stress, Ford tried to circumvent the problem by using a extra rich mixture in íts 1.2 140hp three cylinder. The extra fuel is neededto cool the cylinders just like WEP in a WW2 aircraft. The lifetime of a 2014 engine is indeed steps behind one from the 90's. No manufacturer is calculating a lifetime of more than 200.000km for gear and engine today....they need to sell more cars and a long lifecycle is bad for business.

What is your framerate with FC3, compared to other DCS sim's?
Beagle One replied to Cyn0sure's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
The Performance you have with DCS:World (Su-25T) is exactly what you can espect with FC3. -
Since I'm getting that problem also from other online shops recently it seems that's a problem on PayPal's side.

I wanted a good F-4D or F-4E Simulation since I had a glimpse of them in third Wires's "Strike Fighters". The F-4 would also be a perfect equivalent to the MiG-29 and Su-27 in early 80 Scenarios and could still deliver a perfect Wild Weasel SEAD Option to Blufor with some teeth to stand it's own against Fighters in form of the F-4G while the F-4D could give us he long awaited Blufor Carrier Ops.

ED is currently upgrading all FC3 Planes one by one to AFM or PFM level so why should one consider to do a backflip and a step back. currently the only planes left with SFM are Mig29, Su-27 and Su-33. SU-27 AFM is already in progress.
-
Su-33 carrier landing is heavily scripted...you can land it safely well out of any reasonable landing parameter regarding vertical and horizontal spped and angle...Its lieke a magnet that glues the plane to the deck, nothign that simulates the arrestor hook and cables.

You do not need a MBT to defeat a MBT...modern IFV like thre Puma habe Hunter/Killer capability due to mounted long range and fire and forget AT missiles...so it's not that you need a MBT to counter a MBT in the 21st century.

Looks like a mockup made from a Mi-8 to look like a early Mi-24 which was in fact in the beginning just a armed Mi-8 variant with wings, pylons and retractable gear. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7c/Mil_Mi-24A_Hind.jpg

Preferably one that does not rott that fast away.

Sounds like my 107 at 6500rpm when I lost the exhaust muffler ;)

What I see as the true problem in DCS MP is the simple fact that 25 out of 45 servers you can find are passworded and the public ones are either Aerobatic servers or empty. The only combat mission based public MP server with some players on it left seems to be 104th.

Im not going to buy anythig again that is labeled pre-acces, alpha or bats...such games in such an early state are usually just a waste of time. How often were we forced to start over new in DayZ...i dotn know because I stopped it after the third time. I had fulyl geared long term survivor characters and onyl once I had to start new because I got killed. Most of the time I had to start over new just because of some server database changes... or because someone dropped a nuclear bomb onto Krasnostav. Another issue weas thast after a few weeks it went from a teamplay adventure where you could easily find and join a friendly team and even team vs. team encounters did not allways end in a shooting, into a lonewolf shoot em up on sight thats not fun anymore.
-
It's there but it is not working in Su-25t and Su-33. It's simply broken since the 6dof Cockpit got introduced and those indicator are not the only ones...half the instruments in Su-33 are not working correctly.

SAITEK X52 JOYSTICK - INCOMPATIBILITY
Beagle One replied to babalonkie's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Problem might be on your side because it's all working here in my side. I recommend to unistall and reintsall the saitek drivers and utility. -

How to extend flaps while landing?
Beagle One replied to BronzeBuddha's topic in F-15C for DCS World
landing flaps can't be deployed at speeds above 240 knots. You need spacing to slow down using airbrakes and you should have a 5° nose up attitude at glide slope all the time. -
What's with the crazy lofting of the 120's ?
Beagle One replied to Maximus_Lazarus's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
It's a problem of most multiplayer games that simulate more complex stuff. The problem is well known for a lot of games. Even in simpler games like ArmA seroes you can get away from guided missiles by moving rerratically and having high ping. I see units jump around a lot in DCS often switching positions +- 1000meters and more. No wonder that missiles can't match that. Currently we only have to choice beetween rubberbanding or a netcode thats smooths out the rubberbanding by aproximation which lead to just smoother warping when the pro computed patch and the user input finaly are matchs after up to three seconds. Moving at 900km/h thats makes a discrepancy of 750 meters and thats well enough to spoof off even the best guidance simulation. The probem is les noticable in calssical shotter gams du to the much slower speeds...but in DCS we often go supersonic to evade misils and that's not making it easier for the netcode. -

Beagle One replied to Maximus_Lazarus's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Terrible netcode combined with lag and a server going nuts...MP currently is not eally a good measurement of weapons performance and behavior or killrate.
