  1. The most lame argument I've ever read. As you wrote yourself. this GAME is not a professional full motion Simuator but a GAME. There is no reason at all to neglect the visual qualities especialyl since Simulatiosn always tend to be 10 years behind the standard in the gfx department. Example: the smokepods are misslaigned on the Su-25 pylons since FC1.
  2. They took away his registered firearms as well because of the panther and 8,8 his reliability is in question. Personal reliability and a clean criminal record is a requirrement to have arms in gernamy. The slightes trouble with authorities and you loose it all. Since the man is quite weathy and must have had a lot of influence before retirement I reckon this is a personal vendetta of soem city officials
  3. there will be a lot of sales in the months to come before we will see a glimpse of DCS 2.0
  4. In mission that use dynamic wether you can easily have 100-300 meter missalignment during a single flight if you never set the right presure values you get from ATC at take off and before landing. Yes the F-15 has a working pressure dial like the Su-25 Su-25T and Su-27S The differdet atmospgeric pressure and temperature zones on a map with dynamic weather also affect general aircraft aerodynamics and engine performance.
  5. TFX Tactical Fighter Experiment EF-2000 Jane's F-15 Falcon 4.0 Flanker 2.0(2.5)
  6. Regarding a good start into DCS: Get the Su-25 for DCS. Its one of te best mande FC3 aircraft, has a good PFM with critical limits that are represented very good, is even simpler than the SU-25T and is much easier to handle because it has less drag and less weight. The SU-25 is my premier Trainer Aircraft and I like it most out of all the FC3 Aircraft.
  7. CAPTOR-E as an improved AESA with a detetion range for a conventional fighter size aircraft of 185km is sheduled for 2015 as well as the MBDA Meteor. The F-35 itself is sheduled for service in 2016. Which aircraft is acctualyl bettr is hard to tell ut its clear that the Typhooon can accelerate faster and gain more altitude to give it's misiles more range while not in need to drop a moderate AG ordonnance.
  8. Add to this the problems reported with the X55 all over the net and you get a whole picture.
  9. The issue was quite time dependant but kicked in at 20 minutes into the mission, sometimes as late as 30 minutes. I found out you can force it to kick in by switching through all aircraft in F2 view in a few minutes. ONly solution so far was to disconnect all 20min and log in again what became to weary for me after a while.
  10. My wallet is not in danger from DCS simply because I halted all inventment after FC3 to see if EDGE brings anything worth further investment. Im now waiting since December 2013 when EDGE was to be released "soon". And in fact I'm alredy about to loose concrn about the whole DCS seeing how bad the multiplayer scenne has become in regards to available and populated servers, missions and overall in game behaviour.
  11. I have to disagree. I have seen small aircraft from the right cockpit seat quite often and you will have no trouble to spot a light aircraft that is only half the size of a fighter at 2 km...and I have only 50% of eyesight left. Spotting on tft Screens is tenfold harder then the real deal for a lot of reson, one beeing that the world is not a twodimensional flat 24" square. No helping markers is not anything like "more real" its just self-chastisement. Spt the single pixel is far from "real".
  12. Военно-воздушные силы = vojenno-vosduschnye-Sily = VVS = Russian Air Defense Force = Russian Airforce. The Ka-50 is a rather new and still in service aircraft... the manuals are top secret.
  13. The last patch for RoF changes a lot regarding aircraft performance...neither the Fokker DR1 nor Camels outrun an Albatros D3 anymore.
  14. depends on the servers anti cheat file integrity check. A lot of combat mision servers would see this as a cheat of course the same as ading 8 R-77 to an Su-27.
  15. Indeed, I thought it was an improvement that the old screeching waterpump sound ist gone for aerial refuling at least.
  16. Wikipedia is usually never taken as a reliable source. Don't try and use wikipedia as a source in any scientific or university work, you will get the same guideline. Anybody can write a wikipedia article and there are enough false, fake and plain wrong ones around.
  17. Back in 1998 and 1999 in Jane's F-15 and F/A-18 a rescue chopper would scramble if you ejected in it's range and picked you up. In the campaign you could go on after beeing rescued while beeing shot down outside of Rescue made you MIA. Should be easy to do since it was already been done back then. "Sandy" did also scramble for A.I. wingmen of your flight.
  18. I used silicone lubricant, but you have to apply a drop if it basically every day. For 2 years I'm now using "Liqui Moly LM47" lube containing MoS². and it now last 2 months before its needs regreasing. No problem with the plastics so far.
  20. War thunder is an arcade game just like World of Tanks. A few simulation elements on top of an arcade do not make a game into a Simulation. But if you consider the genral advancement, some full blown hard core sims from the 90's must be considered arcade today. DiD EF-2000 and F-22 ADF come to mind.
  21. Join some public aerobatics servers and you get another perception of that matter. Additionally, damage modelling is and always was very important for combat sims since it also plays a important role in combat damage simulation.
  22. Problem was in my side, the centering of the HOTAS went wrong after a reboot.
  23. I simply can't get the Su-27 in 1.12 to fly straight. It lacks trim authority to keep the nose down. its always rising and even the autopilot cant keept it straight and I do not believe this is intended and the way a Su-27 flies....to keep it straight at 1000 km/h I have to push the stick full forward all the time.
