fixed Lock on sliding off target in DGF mode and HMCS with certain planes.
nikoel replied to Dr05vc's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yeah I get the same drift-lock-drift-lock when looking at friendly units flying in formation with both F/A-18 and F-16. Annoying, but not game breaking since I am not usually trying to shoot down friendly units -

ZOMG!!! I had to stop playing DCS because of how frustrating this entire situation was and this has made my day. Just knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel is awesome Thank you -

Hey, I really hate when people hijack these topics and I am not proud. But since this issue is confirmed and a fix is incoming for the F16, is there a way for you to convince the devs to have a look at the Hornet which does the same thing with HACQ Acquisition with the helmet? There is a bug topic out for it on the F18 side - but it has a 'cannot reproduce' despite videos and tracks and multiple reports The issue is the same, you lock a target with the circle off-bore and the targeting locks and then stops mid-air where the target once was -
You could be going from close to 1/2 of the refreshrate around 45-55FPS to area of dropped frames 60-90FPS

Meta Cancels Quest Pro along with work on Quest Pro 2.
nikoel replied to dburne's topic in Virtual Reality
These "journalists" need to do better. Especially for a website specialises in VR Article states that the resolution is greater on Q3, making readers think that they will get a better picture. Nothing can be further from the truth. Meta Quest 3 utilises a single LCD, splitting its resolution to 2064 by 2208 per eye. It has [stated] identical field of view to QP. This gives a lower pixel density of 19.8 PPD on the Q3 compared to Pro's 22.6. The reason the numbers don't match up is because the single LCD wastes more pixels as it goes across the width of the entire screen DFR wont be part of the experience as it doesn't have eye tracking As someone else has said, it can not have identical pancake lenses as the Pro uses two screens and has eye tracking which Q3 does not. I think they will still be very good, and Meta will bring forth what they learned with QP to Q3's specifically designed lenses It's not possible to release something for 33% of the price and make it superior without reasonable amount of time passing in-between the two products TLDR. The pixel density will be lower, and it will be harder to run than the QP -
4090 Performance thread OPs hate this one weird trick discovered by a dog walking mom with a bored ape tattoo on her left cheek Enable DFR, all drop-downs to high and all sliders to the right

You can always double tap the headset for the passthrough

You going to embrace 60hz MDMA Lyf?

So from I recall reading during my research, the Reverb G1 had 100% Resolution of ~2200px due to the lenses they had implemented The Reverb G2 then moved to ~3000px resolution due to more aggressive lenses which required a stronger pincushion offset. The displays between the units were identical

I've had the same issues. The only consistency of this bug is that it seems to happen right when I am lining up the pipper on target, or about to trap on a carrier I'm giving DCS a miss for a while, F16 and F/A-18's A2A gun targeting is completely broken now and they are my favourite planes to fly

I don't have a horse in this race, and not to throw rocks at a glasshouse, but weird how he is testing the CPUs in the most GPU limited scenario possible within DCS (aka free flight)

7950X3D or 7800X3D easy choice - DCS is now one of the highest thread utilising games out there Intel counterparts are also good and honestly there is not much in it apart from a handful outliners such as ACC which 3D Cache curb stomps everything else. But then you need to realise that 13th Gen MB are dead-ends. You will still be able to pop in two more generations of AMD CPU's into your socket which is a big plus In the end it doesn't matter because my 5800X3D can achieve 72FPS under all conditions [so far]. This is all that it needs to do, since I fly with QuestPro at 72hz - puts things into perspective Will the issue of "correct core utilisation" creep up on you with 7950X3D. Maybe. So you will go from a hypothetical 290 CPU-FPS to 250 CPU-FPS? Do you care?

Hey guys Was wondering if any of you had an issue where you are experiencing button press/depress latency when SimAppPro is active I would like to have the application open for lights and rumble function but it's quite unusable for me. For example during dogfights I would press the trigger to fire cannons. But when I depress the fire switch, the aircraft continues firing for up to a second, sometimes two So far I have deleted and reinstalled simapppro multiple times. Deleted and reinstalled DCS (due to a different issue that is a DCS bug). I have deleted and recreated the options lula file. I have tried different USB connections. I am running the whole winwing suite with over 12USB connections but even with the joystick inserted directly into the motherboard it still shows no improvement. If I close SimAppPro everything works perfectly in all USB configurations Winwing support is still winwing "support" - lets not go there Any ideas?

You guys know that Mbucchia's DFR also has a multiplier for the sweetspot - these multipliers are compounding

Condolences on the 7900XTX. The multi dye architecture has had a rough start in VR, previous generation AMD cards are unfortunately somehow better than the current gen but I digress - the new beta drivers are out that are supposed to fix some VR performance issues. I no longer have an AMD Card (and mine was the 6900XT) but if you search for them you will find them. In the release notes you should see fixes, and somewhere there "VR Performance is now in line with expectations" or the like

It's a known DCS/Oculus bug See here: The bug report is also linked in the comment

I have a PointCTRL V2 but not HTCC i have read it. But don’t get the point. I already can point and click with PointCTRL. What does this do for me?
-
I’m at my abbreviation capacity. What does HTCC stand for? Googling got me nowhere
-
Yes. I lose depth (forward back) Restarting oculus/dcs solves this
-
I gained about ~50% performance on my 6900XT( but it was "maxed out" variant as you can see by the figures I was running). I haven't bothered OCing 4090 as Nvidia is pushing the card so far above it's optimum it's not worth my time null

No you don’t need Steam. Only Oculus app to connect your headset to the computer

They have a million tracks, videos and images showcasing this, see here:

One thing I noticed when I started to play with the lower values inside the periphery vision, is that the resolution change is only mildly noticeable, however the shimmer especially on things like type-text is distracting even with MSAAx4. I recon, if there was an effective way to subdue this shimmer (even at a cost of more blur) I think it could be worth for people with weaker cards Is there an other way of getting rid of this periphery shimmer?
