  1. Hey YoYo, just wanted to give you a huge thank you. There's not too many people in this world who would so selflessly give their time to give something back to a hobbyist community such as this. I'm just super impressed by you.
  2. Not working for me now. Why THE FACK does EVERYTHING need to be tucked away in Discord these days??
  3. In VR I stick my noggin out just as far as I can when I'm flying my 206 IRL. Seems good-to-go as far as I'm concerned.
  4. No it's not realistic, but it's unfortunately a known issue within the DCS "world" and its friction modeling. It's been mentioned elsewhere in the forums, but it's not due to Polychop's modeling.
  5. Like a Ferrari.
  6. I knew something was borked with the radios, just couldn't put my finger on exactly what. I do use "easy" comms as well. This might very well be my issue.
  7. I'm having a problem getting the "flood lighting" axis to bind to my TM Hotas Warthog throttle "friction" axis/slider. The mapping system in DCS accepts the control input, but when back in the cockpit nothing happens.
  8. So what does this mean for those of us who purchased these "new" FC3 aircraft as individual modules (F-5, F-86, etc.)??
  9. I had the hellfire crash early on once so far. It was when I was in the CP/G seat, firing laser designator, and when I launched the hellfire I got the CTD as the missile left the rails.
  10. This is the way. Thanks for your work!
  11. NVG remains on/off regardless of switching seats which led to a de-sync. For example: Pilot has NVGs on then I switch to CP/G and he has them on too, however his pair remains on the dashboard.
  12. Um, this is awkward, but the Bell 407 (widely used civilian version) came from the advancements in the airframe and systems of the OH-58D. The Bell 206 came from the OH-58A. This flight model is very close to the feel of every light single-engine Bell helicopter I've flown. Stop throwing shade based on your assumptions.
  13. A lot of us are lobbying for the "command rose" style control for AI pilot to become the standard in DCS aircraft that require a second+ crewmember. Let's see if PC is receptive...not hopeful, because this wasn't really a big community concern until now.
  14. Nice autos man. Good vid.
  15. I also think the community is looking for some uniformity in AI crew member control...it'd be nice to just let the command rose be the standard.
  16. Jury is still out for me as far as flight maneuvers...autos last night caused a consistent left snap roll at the bottom, and I can't figure out why. I'm now thinking it's an SCAS input causing that. I'm gonna turn it off and try again when I get home. I do think the hovering and taxiing maneuvers are really really close to IRL. Best I've felt in a helo sim for the home user.
  17. Ouch.
  18. Good find. That's gonna save a lot of headaches down the road. Thank ya!
  19. I think that's kind of the idea. Military helicopters have assists ("easy to fly") so they can focus on the mission of putting warheads on foreheads. The 58D is a highly modernized/upgraded version of the Bell 206/TH-67 if you trace it's roots. Never was supposed to be a very complicated helo to fly. I fly the Bell 206 and 505 professionally IRL, and I am instructor-rated. Polychop's model feels the best of any sim Bell model I've ever flown without being in a full FAA-rated sim (and in some ways, this one is still better). Caveat, I've never flown the 58D, but this thing picks up and hovering/taxiing maneuvers feel spot on for every single engine Bell helo I've flown.
  20. Great job Polychop! This is the example for all to follow.
  21. I'm having this same issue with my reverb G2...I'm not convinced this is solely an oculus problem.
  22. Also, the little power generating prop on the front of the S-3 refueling pod should be spinning in flight. That animation isn't modeled (still prop).
  23. I've had this for forever now...not isolated to 2.9 for sure.
  24. Just sucks getting all the way through startup only to find out you have to restart the whole mission.
