Might wanna update the link in the OP. Maybe just link to the releases section? Last time I checked it, it was 2 versions old. So maybe I just downloaded the same old version. Haven't played with the new one yet. -

Maybe that'll fix it. Swapped the BHR for the Forrestal and didn't have any trouble, so it's not a game bug. -

There's no antiskid, so you need to pump the brakes like in a very old car. With the controls indicator window on, you can see the brake power gaining as you hold your brake button. When it gets near the top, let your finger off the button. Repeat. You can also just do it by sound. Let go of the button every time you hear squealing. It's going to take a fair bit of runway to stop if you land heavy. Look at the kneeboard. Max field landing weight is a little over 16,000lbs which is like 60% fuel and no stores. Subtract fuel if you add stores. -

game bug that covers all carriers? And yeah, I set it to 12 knots since I figured that might be a realistic speed for one of those old guys. Or did/do they speed up for flight ops? I heard something about F-8's needing it back in the day, but I just mean in general. More importantly, I also figured it would make practicing with the A-4 a bit easier. -

went a did a landing at takeoff at Khasab and lo and behold the carrier is turning again. Did I do something wrong in the editor? It took me a few tries to land, since i'm not great in the a4. Is it trying to follow the relief tanker? does it think I hurt it so it wants to run away? Come back, little Dickie, I want to catch your wire! -

Maybe? Anyone else running this with other carriers? I've got the Melbourne and maybe something else. Still shouldn't be seeing bda in the stats. That means there's some kind of damage, in this case, from collision. Weird. -

The those old planes don't even hook up to the cat the same way. Pretty sure F-4's had launch bars. A-4's and F-8's had some kind of slingshot shaped thingy iirc. IDK what happened. It was after I was flying for a bit. Did I do something wrong in the editor? Maybe everything needs to be set up to ignore stuff. I did use time compression at one point. maybe that is what made everything wonky. -

Also love getting the mask warning and incorrect steering cues when the TGP is on standby. Why was this feature released in such poor form? It seems more like alpha than beta.

Something was causing the BHR to come to a stop in the ME when I was messing around with it last night. Specifically if the A4 was powered on in any way. Is that the collision thing you fixed? I'll check it out later. -

I think I tried to use one and it was the most unintuitive bull<profanity> I've ever seen. And I'm pretty good with computers. The proper solution is for ED to make night vision not completely worthless. -

The other problem is, the way modding works, apparently, is that it can't just be added as an addon that overwrites the vanilla classes and values, so you have to reinstall every time the game updates. Also not great. Or maybe it can be done? -

Are mod makers not using initials in their classnames? You guys should take a hint from Arma editing and do that. So for instance, if I made a similar S300, I would title it something like SS9_S300 or ss9S300 or something similar so it doesn't conflict. All classes could be prefaced with HDSP_ or hdsp or whatever you want and it won't conflict with anything with different mod pack/maker initials. Mod and mission makers don't already know about this? You can do it to the saves for persistent missions too. <profanity>, this goes back to the original Operation Flashpoint. That was over 20 years ago. You should all be adding initials to classes created. Every time. -
Aha. Thanks. I think I also just get confused with when to TDC depress and when to SCS in a direction. And then undesignate is a whole thing.

Further question: when I use hud/hmd as SOI and select a point on the ground, why doesn't the TPG slew to it?
