  1. Yep, that's how mine is set up. If your stick is a little loose, a tiny deadzone can help it stay in autopilot.
  2. Agreed. Also, there are keybinds for gunsight power and brightness but they don't appear to work. Would also be nice to have keybinds for each position of the fuel valve, supercharger, and mixture. Loving this module!
  3. Your PERF page shows 85% torque is required for IGE hover, which agrees with your observation that you need around 85% to take off. It also shows that you need 107% for OGE hover, meaning that you are too heavy to hover OGE. There are performance limits that come into play long before you reach MTOW.
  4. I don't know about this particular mission, but you can definitely embed kneeboard files in a MIZ file. Just rename the file from *.MIZ to *.ZIP file and then you can dig into the folder structure and find them.
  5. Do you have any curves set on your axis controls setup? Curves are generally incompatible with FFB and this sounds like what happens when you try to use curves.
  6. Holy cow! I took this advice and the F-16 suddenly became 10x easier to control. I fly with a VPForce Rhino FFB stick, but for the F-16 it is basically set up as a normal sprung stick. Turned on the X and Y gradients with zero deadzone (on the special settings tab). I have no curves on the axes in the controls setup page. Loaded into the Persian Gulf A-A refueling mission and had my first ever DCS A-A refuel with zero disconnects! Then I tried a few landings...it was like I was on rails. I'm convinced!
  7. I'm not sure if this is related, but if you have the MARK page up on the DED you are not able to use TMS up on the HAD to lock targets. Just dobber left to get back to the CNI page and you can lock HAD targets again. No idea if is this is accurate to real life.
  8. I've used them on helicopters but never a jet.
  9. I'm pretty sure the boresight button on the collective is for older versions of the Apache and it does nothing in ours.
  10. The gunfire FFB doesn't work if you have unlimited ammo set. As I understand it, the effect works by looking at the ammo count. So if the ammo count doesn't go down, no effect. This is for the VPForce Rhino implementation and I assume others.
  11. The chevrons mean that your radar is detecting a jamming signal. In this case, the radar can't resolve a distance, so you get chevrons at the top of the screen on the detected azimuth. Sometimes you'll see the chevrons on top of a radar contact, indicating that your radar was able to burn through the jamming and resolve range to target. I hope that translates!
  12. I'm just impressed that you managed to take down an F-15 with an Apache!
  13. Ran M02, the Blackhawk down one, with 2 and half crews last night. That was a tough one! While none of our Apaches were damaged, the convoy got obliterated by a T-55 on the way out of town. I wish I could have told Blowfish to exfil south, the way they came in, instead of heading west through the city! Once we established that nobody was shooting at us, we hovered along the ridge southeast of town. In hindsight, we should have spread out more on the east side and chosen a higher altitude. Since we were bunched up and low, we didn't have great visibility around and between buildings. We also didn't coordinate fire well or split up the town between units. We had some delays setting up our squad datalink during startup, so maybe we arrived too late anyway? Does the convoy trigger at mission start or does it wait for you to fly over? The voiceovers made our failure a real punch in the gut. We were much more invested than the generic training missions I make. Overall a good learning experience, which is exactly what I wanted for weekly training. We are going to continue running the campaign and will revisit this mission when we're done.
  14. I know how tricky the DCS mission editor can be!
  15. Ran M01 as a fully crewed 2-ship last night. All had a blast! Thank you to everyone who had a hand in creating this. My only issue was we didn't get to hear the final voiceover from Raptor. We parked on the ramp at Lar but maybe we were too far from the trigger? Overall, awesome work and we will be running the rest of the campaign as training over the next few months. Spoilers start here: That little encampment right at the start of the canyon nearly did one of us in, great placement!
  16. Hey, it's a lot of buttons. I had to erase all memories from before ~2022 in my brain to make room.
  17. jaylw314 has it, except its TMS down long to set SPI to steerpoint. If you did it right, it will say STPT in the bottom left of your HUD.
  18. My squad is all set to run M01: Snake Run tonight. I noticed that the flight plan table on page 2 of the the M01 briefing document appears to be copied over from M00.
  19. I'm with tobi...the Huey is a very light aircraft compared to the UH60 and Hind. The Huey also doesn't have any form of SCAS. You have to be hands on the cyclic and collective at all times to stay stable. Every twitch of the cyclic in the pitch direction requires a collective correction (and vice versa). What weight were you flying at? Try the Huey with 20% fuel and no weapons vs a full load of fuel and weapons. It's almost a different aircraft! In multiplayer servers, you can overload it by a few thousand pounds if you are taking off into the wind from a hilltop FARP and the area to your right is clear. Full left pedal and try to build up speed in ground effect. Then hope you can burn off enough fuel before you land and drop your troops.
  20. We have 4-8 show up on any given night, so this sounds perfect. I will certainly report back. The only issue is I'm not sure if everyone in the squad has the PG map.
  21. Awesome! I'm in charge of making a weekly training mission for our squadron, so this will take a load off of me!
  22. Looking forward to trying this out with my squadron! I've never tried a multiplayer campaign, so I have a question: for missions where you have to make a radio call to trigger something, does each player have to make a call or just one?
  23. I use both eyes for my IHADDS, too. When aligning, you kind of have to look into the distance past the centering ring and make the site picture look like this: +O+ Seems to work best when leaning way back in my seat, as far from the centering ring as possible. Make sure the PNVS is off when you do this. For some reason my eyes can't cross/focus properly for this alignment when the PNVS is on.
  24. I have noticed this issue. It does work when I click it with the mouse.
  25. No idea if this is a bug or intended behavior, but this is also true for the Apache.
