yeah i did some tests today and used the shut off valve as alternative to actually runing out and one of them i could control the rpm (much less gracefully than your atempts, specially the first one) i learned a thing and thats when engine fails to also inmediatly reset trim.. as found out that when im trimmed for cruise you cant pull back stick nearly as much as for example you do in both autorotations.. wich might had something to do with my perceived lack of control during descend -

I was about 1000f high.. i had enough time when fuel ran out and the alarm began to sound to realize what had happent (embarrasing ok i might overstimate my fuel reserve) and check underneath for landing spot (over Guam so plenty forrest but lots of clear patchs too) and droped the collective to keep rpm .. then saw that the rpm kept falling , i raise and lower collective again and nothing.. no lift change whatsoever..it just droped like a grand piano on a Morris Marina.. didnt touched the throttle.. as tobi says fuel had ran out and turbine was dying so didnt even touched it.. I will try to reproduce the scenario again later.. but funny enough yesterday i was doing online CSAR in the Huey and we were interchanging a lot of text messages in the chat and one of those times i failed to hit tab before writing something that started with F meant i cut the fuel valve in the Huey... wich shutted down the turbine , rpm alarm... and i was like 500-700 high over mountains.. droped collective down to about 30% ..rpm stay high.. pressed fuel valve on and hit start and the turbine relighted.. kept the descend rate and rpm on green as kept droping but controled and when turbine kicked in recovered flight.. all this is what i asume should happen in the 6 too (in case of accidental fuel removal).. in the Huey i didnt touched the throttle when relighting ..wich i think may not be ideal -

I was doing arround 100-110 in the runs.. i think i was 100ish when engine quited -

One question about autorotation. to see what im missing the other day i was flying a mission adapted from a Huey one of doing evac calls on Marianas.. in one return leg i overstimated my fuel endurance and about half way back fuel ran out and engine quitted (predictibly).. i tought "ok im gonna just autorotate it" but it fell off like a stone.. i inmediatly on the engine out alarm lowreed collective to minumun but the rpm just fell down like if it was hard tied to the dying turbine.. collective at minumun and rpm just plumeted and the OH-6 just became a meteor. what did i miss? im i suposed to do anything else on engine failure besides keeping the rpm on the green? -

This is still a completely and shamefull disaster.. i fire one AIM9 and the plane violenty rolls to one side ..i correct and wing snaps off clean because the other bug ED refuses to fix while aleging expending hundreds of hours polishing with the remaster... -

You dont even need to have the FC jets in the mission.. you just load a mission that has the F-15C (for BVR version) and/or the SU-33 (for the other) .. jump in the cockpit of those ... exit and load the mission with the Grippen without exiting the game.. should work- 520 replies

Did you loaded the other FC jets before ? i have a training mission wich uses almost all jets i have.. if i first chose the Grippen it wont load the jet.. however if then i select the role for the F.15C and then the SU-33 and jump back to the JAS-39 it loads properly (BVR variant at least)- 520 replies

I was about to post something about it.. I frequently play in 4YA servers where there is a secondary mission to destroy 4 bunkers .. they require anti bunker weapons, be it the BetAB500 penetrators or the GBU-24/31 But for the last days when i drop one in CCIP mode from a FC jet from about 600m alt (followed by hard pull up) not only i get splash damage ..but the entire town arround it in like 2 miles arround gets set on fire in the screenshots taken 2 different seasons you can see the effect of just a pair of BetAB500 concrete penetratos.. even when they dont kill the bunker they destroy the entire town miles away

We are talking about the same antivirus service that flags P2P clients as dangerous threats.. they clearly overstep their software BTW does CWS 3.71 fix anything performance related?

Did another experiment as i saw someone pointing at weapons removed all weapons and pods from the SU-30 and ran the same mission again in Syria.. framerate was much better.. it had some shorts periods where it still droped to 10ish but overall ran at arround 40-50fps where with weapons it barelly toped 13fps

Did you set the POS to GPS instead of INS? time ago there was an issue where in INS it would allways miss while GPS was more accurate -
more info.. i made a mission with only the SU30 alone in Syria (not anything else added) it runs normally at arround 50fps

FIRST: Sorry about the inconvenience as editing this post is only resulting in breaking it more and more and thanks to ED for making the worst forum interface i ever seen in 30 years of web surfing Ran a couple experiments.. loaded several jets in that mission as was getting fair amount FPS (from high 70s to 110) %5Bimg%5Dhttps%3A//i.imgur.com/NS7k2ec.jpeg%5B/img%5D Then loaded latest SU-30 version and drops to single digit figures ..both in cockpit and outside then i found something interesting.. My plan (wich i did after) was to replace the previous version (2.7.98b) to compare framerate So right after taking the screenshots of low FPS in the current 2.8.02b ver ..i pushed ESC to get to the menu and as soon as i press ESC and get the game menu frame rate raises to 100-110 instantly.. null You can still move the camera arround so the game is rendering the 3D model..but as soon as you go back to game framerate drops to single digit .. press ESC and raises to 110 again BTW.. the previous version of the SU-30 (2.7.98b) runs ar arround 50-70fps:

So my 8600K /32gb RAM / 4070 super can run Syria even in MP with the F-14, F-16, F-18, F-5, C-101 .... but cant run the latest SU-30 and the problem is... my hardware..

It better be.. 14900 runs 24 cores.. my 8600K runs 6

i can confirm the performance problem.. loaded a mission i had done for normal navigation in Syria offline wich has some planes , ships and assets.. no prolems with all the other modules, with the new SU-30 it tops 12fps.. with as low as 5 .. unplayable

Since today update if i select 2 or more pylons with rockets the ERR light comes on and the selected weapons except the gun doesnt work.. I do the same i allways did until today and allways worked.. remove stick guards, master mode to AG, master arm on.. select pylons with the rocket pods (usually in pairs) , selector to ROC and i would get the R in the upper panel and work correctly.. Now it doesnt.. it flashes ERR light. but if i select only one pod , no matter wich side the ERR light comes off and it fires that pod normally.. so the only way right now since today update to use rockets is to use individual pods I even checked in mission editor that the pods were the same type of rockets just in case If the pilons have bombs and i select them and bomb mode it works fine (no ERR light and they drop in pairs as expected) -
The manual says otherwise And i have used the gun a lot in AG and AUTO works actually quite well.. accidentally or not..

In the CC manual is explained.. the gunsight has 2 options.. fixed and gyroscopic (AUTO). AUTO mode tries to give you a kinda CCIP solution.. works fine with the guns..not so with everything else.. for droping stuff or using rockets is prefered to set it to manual and set depresion MILS acording to bombing /rocket tables.. It also works in air to air in AUTO .. both as a gyro stabilized gunsight and also as the piper for the IR seeker.. you can even set a range so you know where a 35f wingspan target would be in range aligned with the sight if fits between the sight marks
