  1. The only way to avoid the issue is by doing an Air- start. Ironically enough, when you do the air start- and you deploy the gear to land, others don't see your gear- which makes you appear as if you're floating on the deck. like an opposite situation to the gear down bug. Cold/ground start- players see you with gear down when gear is up. air start- players see no gear at all/invisible gear when your gear is down
  2. Saturday- 5 player Corsair session with CVW-17 friends. Had a great time attacking an airfield, then RTB to the Essex, overhead break with corsairs landing in quick succession.   3. I agree it looks quite unnatural and jarring almost, But I haven't checked to see if that was how they were used- If any docs specify how the pump functions or was used it would help
  4. I made this thread on release day w/ an in depth explanation. Still no answer at all from the devs.. I seriously hope they see these and take them into account.. to be fixed as soon as possible Glad im not the only one.
  5. I'm guessing the tiny tims are only able to be loaded on the ground in a cold/hot start. Air start, tutorial mission, and dynamic spawn loadout doesn't load it XD
  6. In the very same tutorial, the Narrator says "the red button on your stick" When the manual and actual function is the FFAR button. Quite silly, but i suppose an easy fix would be to change what the narrator says, so players don't get confused. i personally would've liked to use the same bind for weapon release and rocket firing, even though they're separated physically. But it is understandable that they are separate binds since it is more accurate
  7. to be completely honest- choose whichever one appeals to you the most and do the 2 week free trial VIA the ED launcher. try them all if you wish. My personal favorites are the 109, P51, P47 and the Mossie. all 4 feel fantastic to fly, especially the newer mossie and P47. Just test fly them all and see what calls to you. F4U is a brand new module, it will def need some tweaks and more work, but i have a feeling it'll soon become one of my favorites. Every EA launch has its quirks and downsides, so we just have to be patient.
  8. Cobra, IronMike, Any kind of way we can get an update on the A6E ai's progress? or any look into the module development side of things.. We've been waiting a long time to get a forum and a discord channel, and a long time waiting for the AI.. Please guys!!! For our love of the intruder, we'd love to hear some news..
  9. Good day all! After a few hours spent in the corsair, I've encountered a pretty annoying issue. If you have the parking brake binding- (one switch for on, one switch for off) it seems to bug out your toe brake bindings. This only happened when I was on deck on the essex, i did not get the issue on land. it went as follows- I landed, taxied forward to the bow, set the parking brake, re-fuel, then when i turned off the parking brake and started rolling to taxi- back, I was unable to diff brake turn, unable to brake at all- looked at my pedals and they were twitching when i pressed my binds for brakes. I went into my controls, pressed the brake bind i had set (did not change or remove the bind, just simply pressed to make sure it was still bound) and suddenly the brakes worked again. So i set the parking brake back on to try again, and the same issue occurs. conditions to test and see if u have same issue- 1) be on essex carrier deck. 2) have left, right, and both brakes bound ( i dont have an axis so i use HOTAS buttons fir L/R and a paddle for both) 3) Have the parking on/off set on a two way switch (up turns the parking brake on, down turns it off- no middle position) 4) turn on park brake, then turn off park brake and attempt to use toe brake binds- you'll notice they will twitch and not actually deppress. 5) you can get the brakes working again by opening the binds menu and pressing the keybinds you had set. Thank you Magnitude 3 for your hard work, i hope you can take this bug down and keep it in mind.
  10. Yeah, I did each maneuver once. I did monitor my fuel, but that 450kt cruise did burn a lot of gas, I should’ve maybe eased off in transit to the range, and when leaving. Getting used to the phantom and her fuel thirsty J79’s. next mission I’ll make sure to respect the joker and bingo, and do the full approach
  11. Thank you Reflected for an amazing campaign so far. My only issue I’ve had so far is fuel related the Instructor seems keen on telling me to practice maneuvers as much as I want, maybe not realizing we only have 5-6 thousand pounds on board by the time I finish the first few maneuvers. Needless to say, on fam flight mission 1, I had to skip the PIUTE approach and go direct to Indian Springs via Tacan, with only 1800 pounds on board I was starting to sweat. Luckily, even though I skipped PIUTE by about 15 miles, by the time I reached IS, instructor called our initial and I completed the mission without issues. Looking forward to flying and studying the next missions. Even after Fam 1, those turn exercises really helped me understand the phantoms turn rate much more clearly. Thank you sir for a great job indeed, will absolutely have to pick up S&A’s once I finish MiG Killers!
  12. Hmm.. so much of a mistake that they admitted to it in their own post here, a few pages back? Not a mistake. They tried to be slick and not say a word thinking we wouldn’t notice, now that the cat is out of the bag, both the paying customers and ED are just as dumbfounded. This kind of thing doesn’t happen by mistake, I can assure you that.
  13. OneReTech, I and many others, believe that the decision to remove a large area of detail from the map, was done in poor taste and without any prior warning to us. The rationale and logic behind this decision was never communicated broadly or at all. This decision, downgrade, made me lose a lot of faith in you as a new developer. A year without updates and with silence, ok, fine. But to then come out with your first update and degrade the map? I cannot in good conscience approve of this behavior. If the concern in the back of your mind was to not interfere with another map maker doing an overlapping area, then this should’ve been considered before EA release. Not thought of and removed afterwards. Please communicate to us, and tell us why this was done, because many are upset and this is not right. thank you, the GUCC.
