  1. Since a major patch a couple of months ago (cant remember which one), Ive been experiencing loss of control at hard maneuvering (approx 6 - 7G). the plane will just lose control and spiral in. I can typically feel it coming and ease up on the stick but about 25% of these departures I cant recover from. The plane is lightly loaded and fuel is usually above 5,000 lbs. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a bug that a patch caused? thanks
  2. hmmm. weird. they work! is there anything special you did discwalker? thanks for the help Jeff
  3. thanks guys... I just realized that I put SA15s in there to see if they would work. they did, I have put all 6 SA10 units in a group. I also tried setting their ROE to weapons free but no go. I have flown over them in harriers and hornets at different altitudes and attacked them to see if they would fire at me. nothing. I also tested the SA11 (all 3) and it didnt fire either. I have used the SA11 in other missions and it works sometimes depending on the flight profile This is a fresh mission where the factions are default.
  4. been placing SA10s and SA11s on the map in an open area and including everything to complement the launchers and they will not fire on my harrier or my F18. Ive attached the .miz file Any ideas? thanks Operation Axios.miz
  5. After about 10 - 20 minutes of flying the harrier, I get an approximate 1 second lag of my stick inputs. My TrackIR works fine and my throttle seems to be fine as well. I was wondering if anyone else is seeing an issue like this. I suspect its my USB hub or my CPU. The RAM is not running away that I can see. Im wondering if it could be an issue with my T16000 stick. The issue comes and goes without any way of predicting it. It affects the axis and buttons on my stick. My setup: T16000 stick, throttle & pedals TrackIR Both of the above are on an older powered hub i5 2600k @ 3.3 Ghz 20gig ddr3 RAM 1080Ti SATA3 SSD Thanks for any ideas Jeff
  6. Hey Mower! I figured I see you in the F18. I flew with you at the 1st VFW (I think) when the A10 came out. I sold my X65 and man do i miss that throttle. my new T16000 isnt bad but not as smooth and i really miss the layout of the controls. thats good to know that we can now assign an axis to the TDC.
  7. Totally worked!!!! thanks so much for the help. DCS simmers are the smartest in the world... Thanks again Jeff
  8. Hi all, Just updated to 1.5 using the game's auto update and all went well. My SP starts right up The MP just shows a black screen. If I go to MP from SP the MP screen loads (asks to put in a new nickname whch I did). I can see other servers on the MP screen. When I hit the " new server" button, none of my missions are in the list. the spin box at the bottom of the missions list window say "mission list.*lst" and there are no options to load .miz files. I am in my proper folder that I have used for 5 years in DCS and I am completely at a loss. I have also tried starting both MP and SP as Admin with no difference. I have also tried to make a new mission from scratch in the editor with no success. I have flown my mission from the editor and it worked fine. Any ideas? Thanks Jeff
  9. Ok thanks... Ill get the A-10 A
  10. Hi guys.... I have installed these mods ( the A-7, F-14 & F-18C) and cant get in the pit to fly them. All parts have been installed as their folder layout dictates but when I choose them to fly in my mission (they are sleeted to be "clients") the AI is in the pit and takes over. any ideas what I did wrong?
  11. howdy bahger and smokey! ... been away to ... mostly single player. Im surprised the 25th broke up too...great guys. We should try to hook up and fly somewhere Jeff (dethjeff)
  12. i like wags setup... very responsive and precise.
  13. Strong Harm made a mission that had this as a side task... really well done. It motivated me to attempt to make a live CAS mission with 4 sectors (N,S,E,W) that would generate custom calls from the troops depending on where the A-10 was. there were also generic CAS calls.... its very fun (attacking infantry only). havent finished it yet... i decided to make it with 4 random locations and each section has about 20 - 30 different voice files in it.... the hardest part is getting the voice actors to sound authentic like in that recording.
  14. your'e welcome... hope it helps.
  15. i for one, have never made one single mistake in the pit of this plane...
  16. ive had my nav computer shot up. I land, repair and then restart the entire alignment over with a turned off NAV computer.
  17. i had a better AMD than that with 4 gig of ram and every time i went in strafing the sim started to slide-show. went to an i5, 8 gig of ram (and video upgrade) and its smooth now. its much more enjoyable
  18. i went in my options and just changed my snapview toggle to NUM0... its a million times easier and its very fast to switch. the keystroke doesnt conflict with any other button/command.
  19. i picked up a used mitsubishi DLP 60" for $450 delivered and it will do 3d. playing on it in 2d is absolutely stunning... I just got my nvidia card and im just waiting to find a deal on the specs. My controller is 2 pieces of old wire that I tap together to emulate a keyboard output... its very realistic LOL Really though... if you don't mind a divorce and generally ruining your lives, play on a big screen.
  20. i scare myself when i think of using tacview... or if it ever fell into the hands of Iran or maybe another evil place like Hawaii.
  21. Im gonna try this out mauser... I have noticed one thing about making missions; Its A LOT EASIER for the mission maker to make sense of the situation than it is for the pilot. In real life, a JTAC is guiding a pilot in, in the sim, that doesn't happen. It is very hard for a pilot to make sense of what is going down there when a test message pops up and he has to read it amongst having situational awareness and handling the plane. I made an un-released mission that I have tested in which audible JTAC instructions repeatably inform the pilots where to look for the enemy (its all on triggers and timers). Despite this, I have noticed that the pilots STILL have a hard time figuring out where to look. So even though I thought the message is getting across, I have found its important to really spell it out for the pilots.
  22. sounds like the game isnt running in admin mode or your .miz files (and maybe config files ) are in a different location than they should be. an out of date video driver can cause a-10 to crash at certain times too.
  23. those checklists are cool.... I repair printers and I use these to test them... make like 4 copies a day.
  24. hey repsol.... ask the admins to increase your upload size... they will as they are kind and gracious Forum Gods. :worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy:
