what I do is keep my altitude around 15K or higher, put the plane into a 15 degree (give or take) banking orbit with the target search area on my right wing about 10 miles out. Get on the targeting pod and search using White hot (my preference) and definitely use the MFD quick view ( I changed mine to NUM0 then numpad 6)... this in my view is crucial otherwise your eyes may explode. Keep in mind that your pod may get wound up so I suggest using mark points... .when you get a few, change the dial near your CDU to "Mark" and they will show up on your TAD. If you dont use mark points, when your pod does get wound up, and almost certainly will, you will have to start your hard-earned search all over again.

that and logically name your enemy/friendly groups with 3 digit numbers and name the flags after them I.E.; -Red Group North #1(R_Grp_N_101 abbreviated), can be the same name as Flag 101 -Red Group North #2 can be R_Grp_N_102 and flag 102 - you can use the first digit as a further description such as the "100" group is all on the North side of the map, the "200 group could all be on the East side, etc... or "112 is group of infantry in the north and 221 is a group of tanks in the east. -and dont forget E=Mc2

yup i keep them too... I also wait to install patches for a couple of weeks usually. for me, 1.1.1 didnt have a lot of improvements that i was especially looking for, so Im in no hurry to install it.

maybe make the plane invincible and fire missles at it.

make them small... preferably .ogg format, mono and low quality. If you record high quality audio, it will take a long time to load up... extremely long on multiplayer. audacity has an option in the recording tracks (on the right side) to make these changes for each track in your total audio "project" as audacity calls it.

why cant it talk like the GPS in my car LOL.

I changed my in-game key bindings to only use the "NUM0" key (it has no other use) to start & stop the snap view toggle.... then use the number pad keys to view the panels you want. If he has another monitor he may want to check out helios. As far as I know you cant do what you had shown in the picture.

No Mower... Now we dont need to kill the poor man LOL. It was someone that I fixed his PC for at work.... frigging really gross house... full of underwear and empty ice cream containers... kinda like the movie "se7en". He also had an alienware desktop and laptop... what a moron. He LOVED the F-18 from that company that made that mod for FSX... I saw it and wasnt overly impressed.He later complained about me becuase he didnt like the way I fixed his computer.... God I hate my job. Come to think of it, I DO know where he lives....

tried telling a "FS"er about A-10 and he scoffed at me LOL.... This is the Best sim I've ever seen. Its too bad that so few get into these sims... I'd love to see them flourish.

and the dial is on VHF? that is weird... I was able to talk to my crew with the canopy open and the engines off BUT, I was in a bunker at the time... maybe thats the difference. The mysteries of a complex sim are fascinating..

turn that dial to "INT". the canopy will work but only if the engines are off. took me about 5 hours to figure this one out.

Well, After all, I did warn them not to fire.... the Norris way LOL.

good mission bagher... I couldnt get the JTAC coords put in properly, but I finally found one of the convoys by following the roads north from the nav points.
