@Sn8ke @kestrel79 How many transducers do you have? I have 3. 1 under seat. 1 each mounted to throttle and brake pedals of my sim racing gear (that deck is pushed back/away when I fly but still solidly mounted to the 8020 rig. I'm very interested to try to get them up and going for DCS, so appreciate any advice. Thanks.

@Tanarg Dude! How do you get in !?? Mine is a converted 8020 sim racing rig, and now with the hotas added to the sides, I have to "climb in" by stepping on the seat and settling in. Assume you do the same, but even more acrobatic especially with what looks like triples!

I notice in the thumbnail of the video above that his unit does NOT have the long arms on the dials. I have to imagine that without the long arms, the dial would not feel quite so "loose" - without the need to disassemble and tighten. WinWing, if you're seeing this - my suggestion is to simply use a much smaller nub for center of the dial, in the future.

Have you checked Chuck's Guides? I fly f16 and found a very 1:1 mapping based on some pictures and explanations in the guide. Oh, and I too have the WW orion2 gear. When you first set it up, you may be amazed that everything is already bound. Can't remember if that required using WW's simapp pro software first, but there are some great headstarts available.

How about the community mod A-4? Would that be worthwhile and related practice?

Just a note to say, as a recent buyer of WW Hotas Max (Orion2, 15ex throttle, 16ex stick), I noticed after 6 days that the TMS hat on stick would not register UP. I accessed Customer Service and YES, I did have a time delay due to time zones. BUT, they responded every day as we exchanged notes. I sent a video to show the issue. This morning, the CS rep suggested, "remove the cap and see if it still has no values in Simapp". I gently lifted the cap and immediately noticed the Hat now has full functionality. So, small issue and easy resolution. This can be a heads up that the Hat switches can have the cap pressed too far in and then create an issue with direction pushes. Hope this helps someone else.

Appears to be UP now.... and the F16 ICP is shown, but doesn't look like it's available for sale yet... maybe that's what they were doing (updating site), instead of going out of business. EDIT: kind of keeps coming in and out. So, not fully up yet.

Once again I say, thank gawd it's not just me. I'm still pretty new so I always assume the problem is user error, but this one has had me baffled.

I just have to say I'm glad you are all struggling! just kidding, but what I really mean is... thank gawd, I thought it was me. I'm still new but spend a lot of time flying and studying manuals and forums and yt. Obviously still learning, a ton, but i can successfully deploy most weapons at preplanned points. But a post above that notes that secondary TOO's can be a pain in the a$$... now that makes me feel better to know other more experienced folks are facing the same challenges as me. I'll keep studying and trying.

Early stage company vs. late stage company. Just a choice each of us gets to make, like said above (pick your poison). And a reminder that the experience noted in this thread is, I'm sorry to say and don't want to offend anyone, not reflective of the full population of WinWing customers. All that said, I feel for you and hope you end up with a good/satisfying solution with your gear.

Update #2. I received the remaining 3 boxes on Monday 11/26. Pretty quick turnaround from order to full delivery - Chengdu to Austin, TX in 6 days. Assembly was easy/straightforward. I had watched a few YT videos, so knew what to expect. My monstertech mounting plates have not yet arrived (believe they have some backorder things going on), but I was able to cobble together some parts to make due and mount to my 8020 rig tonight (Tues). Downloaded and installed simapp pro; connected devices via usb; did a suggested firmware update for throttle base. Got in to DCS and started the long process of assigning key bindings to axes and buttons, etc. Figured out the throttle calibration and AB detent thanks to @MustangSally post. This stuff is super cool. I have a LOT of button options so going to require hand-to-brain training to re-learn my way around and see what I prefer. Tomorrow I hope to spend more time getting super familiar. Happy to answer any questions.

Just got my winwimg hotas max gear. Ran simapp pro, flashed an update to throttle base. Test shows all buttons and axes working. But, in DCS setting controls, only one I cannot bind is for Thrust. Just not seeing my movement of throttle. I fully expect this is a user error, but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thx.

What does it mean to "sync lights"? I just got orion 2 hotas max and figuring out some details. Thx.

Update... received box 1 of 4 this morning; three days after placing order. It is the throttle base. Looks and feels great to me so far. Fedex now shows next shipment arrives Sun 11/26... we'll see. Huh, I actually need my monstertech mounting plates to arrive before the rest of the hotas!!!

Ugh. Sorry to hear the above story. Sounds like many others have been quite satisfied. I recently placed an order... fingers crossed. At least I can't blame anyone buy myself if there are problems after reading these posts.

Mine has gone through so far no issues, ordered from US. In fact, I just got first notice early this morning that the FedEx label has been created. Plus a text from FedEx directly which said to expect 4 packages and signature required.

Well, after a lot of deliberation and countless hours on YT and forum/discord... I placed an order for Orion 2 Hotas Max with 15ex throttle (+finger lift) and f16ex stick. Got a few bucks off with the 5% sale. Paid via Paypal. Looks like it went through. I clicked "Download Invoice"... it downloaded but when I went to view, it said "can't open this file". I assume that may be due to Chinese characters. Interested to know any of the latest experiences with delivery to US. 1 week, 2 weeks, more? Just curious. Now I need to order a couple mounting plates from MonsterTech. Birthday present to myself! Anyone else make a recent order??

Thank you for the offer, very kind. Actually, I don't seem to have a need. I initially was trying gremlin to make a set of racing pedals operate as rudder pedals, but I've moved well beyond that as I continue to invest in combat sim gear!!
