Would You Pay For AFM In All Flyables
MonnieRock replied to MonnieRock's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Maybe this poll will give ED some Ammo :horseback Any reason for not voting GG? -
Hello everyone, A simple poll to help ED see where the customer base is and the support behind them for extra work done for AFM on all flyable Aircraft. I know I would Thank you for voting, I appreciate it. Monnie

I stand corrected and here by this moment wish in the end of this series that all Airframes included AFM before the next project by ED. Thank you for clearing up my misconception about data on these Aircraft. I would fly the A-10 and F-15 more if they included the AFM for sure as well as some of the avionics problems with the F-15 were to be corrected. Maybe I should start a poll of how many users would pay for a AFM update for all Aircraft. Think that would get us closer to our goal GG? I am trying that with dual core to show the hard facts for ED to look at. Thank you, Monnie Dual Core Poll Please Vote

Something is better than nothing? Who wins in the end if AFM were to be added? I understand your point GG. I really do. But from my understanding, AFM is not possible with the F-15 or A-10 ( I wish they had AFM also, I fly both) because of limited data about these airframes. Correct me if I am wrong please Sir. All I was trying to say is, if the data can be had, and it was only for the Russian Hardware, it would be better than only having it for the Su-25 and Ka-50. Yes, I would perfer it for every Airframe, trust me !! Thank you, Monnie Dual Core Poll Please Vote

Hummm, Why does this happen in such wonderful threads? Buckshot, thank you for your honest opinion and all the professional input you offer. Your head has always been level as you fully explain your position with tact. Good work. Shepski, Wether he likes Helos or not, has he not been nice when at the forum? I expected more from you than to dig up his opinion and throw it in his face as a charactor flaw. He likes jets. I like both, You like both. Are the other 3 gentlemen that voted in that category tainted? Thank you, Monnie Dual Core Poll Please Vote

I will enjoy the KA-50 very much as sometimes lock-on is a release of reality and just fly around in a make believe world. Not every time I play I am so focused on a "combat" mission. Just flying. This will be a pleasure with a highly detailed Ka-50. One of my favorites sims since my gaming started was Longbow 2. Countless hours were spent flying multiplayer with one of my friends in the days of dail-up and using your telephone with a headset as voice comms. What a blast that was. So, I do like Helos, and I like Jets. Really wished we could have seen in this release( Black Shark ) was to complete the AFM for all russian harware. That in itself I would have paid for and would keep me firmly planted in my chair with joysticks in my hands. I know there would be some upset F-15/A-10 pilots but, eventhough I live in the USA, I like and accept the fact that ED has only so much resource about Airframe Data. And also, I do like the Russian birds. So to conclude my thoughts I am happy to see progress since this probably will be the last stage of lockon. Where I am left is, I wish in this last stage at least all Russian Aircraft had AFM. That to me(my opinion only) would be the final touch and to end this series with a "Bang". Guess I will not be able to land on a Carrier in a beautiful Su-33 with AFM :( Ever. Such a Pity Future: Really hope that ED will take a close look at upcoming technology with their products. After being told many times from members of ED that lock-on could not be advanced in technology, build your next product with that in mind. Shader Model 4 will be out, DirectX 10 will be out, HDR is out. Better use of SLI. A different sound engine. Probably the most important is Dual Core Support. SMP is not going away, if anything it is the future. Not just keep using Directx8.1 with the previous code. It was good, it has it's fame, now move to the next level. Hawg11, I have been using this avatar so many years I do not have a reference for you. I will look around. If you find any, give me a shout. It always reminded me of 9th grade and driving to school listening to Van Halen's Fair Warning album. Over and Over and Over hehehe :icon_supe Still wearing our seat belts officer !!! Hello Everyone, I have often thought to ask this but have not until I read this thread. In Lomac, does the simulator alter fuel consumption at different altitudes? For example: At 1000m the aircraft consumes xKg/per hr At 9000m the aircraft consumes xKg/per hr Can anyone verify this? Thank you, Monnie Dual Core Poll Please Vote

Will lockon work in Vista? That is my real question. Dual Core Poll Please Vote

Pretty good for what you are getting. It's a game not a simulator. Might be fun to just try out. Anything flight related is in my book. It can only help the flight simulator world. Better than some FPS Maybe I am just a rock and roll head, but good music too Dual Core Poll Please Vote

New Virtual Blue Angels Movie
MonnieRock replied to AliasVBA1's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Nice guys !!! You are doing a wonderful job, very talented and the pride you exude shows in every aspect !! What a beautiful bird she is !!! A machine for death and the beauty of a goddess. I love the years the Blue Angels come to my town and display. I live on the beach and all week I hear the sounds of them practicing while they fly right over my house. So good I usually take that week off from work to just sit on my porch and admire the beauty. Same ole song and dance but, I really wish Lomac had a flyable F-18. Especially the F-18E -
Whew, Glad I got the cd-rom version. Do not think I could take all of those headaches just to play a game. I often wonder what people do that are not good with computers. I mean, not everyone is into computers and all the little quirks like we are here. Some people, say a pilot even, would like to just install the game and go not edit this config file, change this setting, turn off force feedback, save activation keys, etc... Weird stick behaviour while refueling in the 33
MonnieRock replied to S77th-RYKE's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
In real life does the aircraft's control systems change in a refueling mode? I do not know, as I have not flown a SU-33. Sure would like to :icon_syda Dual Core Poll Please Vote -
I still fly Janes F/A-18. All this talk about flight models is not what kept me flying Janes F/A-18. The detailed avionics and weapons systems as well as the A/G radar kept me flying. What a great simulation. P.S. Thanks to Matt Wagner and the Baltimore team for so many years of happiness.

@MonnieRock concerning FX-60
MonnieRock replied to zenTera's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Tom, I got the processor on 01/12/06. Prior to that a X2 4800+ was installed. At first I did a simple switch of processors and everything worked fine. Dual Core to Dual Core. Once I saw everything worked well to make sure the processor was good, I formatted and did a re-install. Not that I had to, I just always do. Takes about 30 minutes with everything backed up. BIOS I have running before and after is the same as you, the 1011-001 (beta). The sweet spot on air is 3.150Ghz(15x210) with 1.40 volts. Soon to add Phase Change cooling to see what she can do. As far you having to install Windows again after moving from your 4000+, I am not the person to ask because, I do not know. My nature is to start off fresh each time. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them. Monnie -

Privet Everyone, Please go vote here. Wish I knew how to say it in Russian Dual Core Users Poll Spasibo, Monnie

IguanaKing, I could not have said it better. E-tailers and E-builders will push Dual Core to the max. Also, consider that the FX-57 was the last Single Core "Gamers" CPU. The next version FX-60 will be Dual Core with unlocked multipliers. Processor companies have reached the limiting factor with design and we will not see much faster single cores. Their answer, More Cores. Dual Core Users Poll
