FC & BS, Vista and Starforce
MonnieRock replied to WhiskeyRomeo's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Seems touchy around here. I am also interested in the long term goals of Lomac,FC,and BS with Vista. Once DX10 hardware and Vista is released, they will be on my systems. Hopefully ED and Starforce are pro-active, not reactive in this future change. Waiting till the last moment is not good. Vista and DX10 are not going away. Thanks, Monnie Dual Core Poll Please Vote -

SLI Video Cards/TV resolution
MonnieRock replied to graywo1fg's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Long time no see buddy, Resolution was 2048x1536. Not sure if the image in the MFD scales. Sure looks like it. It was not that I had SLI, it was the Resolution used. SLI does help at that Resolution for performace. Stay in touch Wolfy Monnie Dual Core Poll Please Vote -
BS Release date is now Autumn 2006

I know even now with my rig, which is no slacker, I have trouble flying NOE in fast movers over the city of Krasnodar with visibility settings on high-scenes on high. Even water on low. That city has over 20,000 objects. :( Dual Core Poll Please Vote -

Why do we need dynamic campaign..
MonnieRock replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Thing I like most about DC for someone like myself that is not too serious: You fly a mission and complete the mission goal (primary target) so you have extra ordnance on board, you strike a bridge or a building or a group of sams etc etc..Next mission you fly as you past that area :harhar: at the destroyed remains of the secondary. The better you get at hitting your primary target with a precision strike and having extra ordnance to use on secondaries makes a big impact in the war. Second best thing I like is: I just start the sim and forget about the hours of constructing complex missions in the mission editor, log in to campaign and fly the next assigned flight. I could care less what the mission is, I did not have to make it and I just want to fly.CAP,SEAD,RECON who cares. Also, I do not know what to expect. If I make the mission, it is like reading the same book twice. boring.:( Thanks, Monnie Dual Core Poll Please Vote -
At 2048x1536x32 resolution, I find lockon's performance directly proportional to the cpu speed. Dual Core Poll Please Vote

Would You Pay For AFM In All Flyables
MonnieRock replied to MonnieRock's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Thank you everyone for your opinion. I really appeciate it. I myself would pay $50USD for AFM update and $50USD for BS. I spend $1000's on PC hardware to play this game in all it's glory, $100 USD is a mere drop in the hat. Dual Core Poll Please Vote -
What is going to be in 1.2 for A2A junkies?
MonnieRock replied to Kula66's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I understand the path ED is taking with the KA-50. I myself perfer a A/G role, not really a A/A jockey. With the current situation, A/G is not that exciting to be honest. Yes, you have weapons systems to learn but, anything other than single player is boring. Online you can not have players join and see objects destroyed prior, no campaign. Difficult to use mission editor to make a realistic battlefront. It seems to me a Mission Orientated training flight. The real battle is human -vs-human in the A/A role. Eventhough this is not my cup of tea, this is where the most interaction comes to play with multiple users online. We see this on hyperlobby. Without concrete data to prove this but I would say most users are A/A jocks. These A/A jocks are feeling the pressure of this being the last big event for Lockon. Their hopes are high to have a working A/A role. So what will hold their attention to this title if nothing is improved in this realm of Lockon? People have lack of patience just waiting on a patch, you think they will just stand down and wait for the next title that will take quite some time to be released? Then at the time it is released they have the faith in the A/A role support that was dropped for A/G in Lomac? Lock On,Modern Air Combat. hummm I am compassionate to everyone, ED,A/G jocks, and A/A jocks. I understand business, and personalities. It will be very interesting to see the decisions made from the development standpoint and the reactions from the users. So, is tank killers next or the F-16 sim. If tank killers is next the A/A jocks will be long gone from lomac and ED I was thinking about tank killers. It will have A-10,Su25,Ka50, and unknown secondary Helo. How about human players being able to drive the tanks for each side. Will it also have the A/A planes to add support? Will the new titles support multiple CPU's ? Latest DX? People will move on in their hardware. Vista and Dx10 can not be ignored. I am not complaining, just trying to view things from all sides of the fence. To those that think people are complaining, read this quote that I was taught in business courses. “When a customer complains, he is doing you a special favor; he is giving you another chance to serve him to his satisfaction. You will appreciate the importance of this opportunity when you consider that the customer’s alternate option was to desert you for the competitor.” Quote by, Seymour H. For being so focused on statistics, UBI is not longer in the formula, Vosxod. Do you vote when there is an election in your country or do you feel one vote is not going to make a difference? Dual Core Poll Please Vote -
Mbot, Thanks for sharing that. Those pilots are lucky to say the least. I could spend everyday flying in that environment. Who ever it is, good control of the helo. I imagine there are still some very good veitnam era helo pilots out there that are only here because of luck or their good skills to pilot a helo NOE. Dual Core Poll Please Vote
