I have a question: there are coordinates for all 4 targets on the kneeboard indeed, but there's no elevation for them. Does it mean I shouldn't touch elevation at all when enering data for JDAM PP mode or enter 0 feet (what I did)?
-
I did, it also was on the course behind the ship in the groove for me. Luckily I didn't hit him both times.

Well, I used SA page with 5/10 scale (make sure you turn D/L and IFF on) and I did know how callsigns for our flight are displayed there from the briefing (I mean not Hammer, but CY01, ... CY0N or something similar): there were special remarks on one of the slides. I also knew from the briefing that different flights are separated by altitude with angel 15 dedicated for Hammer flight, so I looked only at the contacts on angels 14-15 on my air radar. After that it was only a matter of soft lock on flight lead or his wingman.

I had the same issue in mission 8 except I had enough fuel to order Olive to refuel first and wait till she is done then did it myself.
-
I'm able to refuel in Hornet (I have 372 AARs an according to the Logbook), Viper (284 AARs) and Hog (just 8 but can do that too), day and night, with wake turbulence on (Viking was harder for me in that regard) and without disconnects. I do recall those days when I thought I'll never be able to do that though and it took me a long time honing this skill (I still try to practice AAR on regular basis). I mostly play singleplayer, but do multiplayer occasionally too. Personally learning to fly in formation with the tanker helped me as well as good hardware made a lot of difference as tiny movements of the throttle are required.

I had somewhat similar problem. In my case I did fly from South to North as instructed, followed by Smoke (there was some space between us though), but he was hit by SAM, nevertheless Smoke managed to fly and continue the mission. However when we were heading back to tanker to refuel (which unfortunately flew away from us, so we had to spend more fuel to reach him), I noticed that Smoke is very low on fuel on SA page: he had less than 1.0 left while for me it was ~ 6.0. As a result he ejected near the probe :wallbash: : not sure was it due to SAM hit or just terrible power management by AI. That's considering Smoke was ordered to fly above to cover me all the time while I was destroying targets assigned by JTAC, I only ordered him to help with the very last last target: moving truck (I hit it with all my cannon rounds, but wasn't precise enough to lit it up), which he tried to hit with JDAM first (why Smoke?) and failed ofc, and then successfully destroyed with GBU-12. So I obviously missed some dialogs on my way back to the Carrier :( , but I consider this mission completed as all targets assigned by JTAC were destroyed, I successfully performed AAR two times and Case 1 recovery to Mother.

[ALREADY REPORTED]Refueling probe light too powerful
lester replied to Jalava's topic in Bugs and Problems
Same here. In the most recent OB I don't see any prob light on Viking as before. I'm thinking it's my old mission where I changed time to fly at night. Maybe I should re-save it in ME or even create new? -
Question regarding Raven One mission 1
lester replied to modda's topic in F/A-18C Raven One Campaign
Hey baltic_dragon, thank you for reply. Yeah I thought about it too: that's probably the only way to do it when you are wingman with the AI flight lead. -
Question regarding Raven One mission 1
lester replied to modda's topic in F/A-18C Raven One Campaign
I have a (somewhat stupid) question: when Saint and Flip return to the Carrier Saint orders to switch to the marshal frequency and then after short period of time I hear regular transmission for Case 1 recovery (which wasn't initiated by myself). Saint replies with his fuel state and then orders me to contact marshal. I believe this initial transmission is initiated by and intended for Saint. The problem is that when he orders me to contact marshal it's too close to mother and I don't have time to reply "see you at 10" at 10nm as marshal requests. Should I break formation and turn back after getting order from Saint? Should I handle Case 1 recovery by myself from the moment I got order to contact marshal from Saint or should I proceed with him to the holding pattern as standard procedure for Case 1 recovery requires for the wingman? -
Там возможно баг с режимом TGP Snowplow и линией CCRP в текущей OB.

Mission 21 ZU23 not correctly placed and lag
lester replied to Deliverator's topic in Bugs and Problems
Just finished EW3 - excellent campaign, thank you very much for the hard work! Ready for Raven One now. Regarding problems above, on the most recent OB 2.5.6.53756: 1) I didn't pay attention, but it looks like Zu-23 were on the roof and for sure at least some of them were shooting at me. 2) Experienced EXTRIME stuttering and FPS drop right after my flight was cleared hot on target and it lasted till the very end of the mission, never observed anything like that in this campaign before, moreover even on Supercarrier with statics it's better. -

Still the same in most recent 2.5.6.52196 with Gamma set to 2 :( - S-3B Viking tanker is barely visible at night on PG map, no Probe lights - Runway lights are not visible in IFR landing conditions on PG map

Hi I'm getting reproducible (2 times) crash in the Hornet standard Mission Qualification Supercarrier CASE 3 Recovery on Persian Gulf map, right after approach controller responds with: Log is attached (crash report was sent too). DCS 2.5.6.52196 NVIDIA GTX 1070, driver version: 451.67 dcs.log-20200719-203825.zip

ATC is not used when you do AAR IRL as far as I know. In fact you want to make fine adjustments with your throttle.

AI AAR crashed into wingman/player
lester replied to lester's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Hey BIGNEWY, I do, but it's 22mb. Where do you want me to upload it? Thanks -
Yesterday when flying mission Red Flag 2 Hornet from SEDLO I ordered flight of 4 Hornets (3 of them controlled by AI) to perform AAR from the tanker. With one of the wingmen I waited while two others perform AAR. When one on the left wing of the tanker finished refueling, disconnected from the basket and moved away from the tanker it crashed right into the other (who was still refueling) on the right wing of the tanker. Then the same situation repeated: when I was still refueling (on the right wing of the tanker) and remaining wingman finished its refueling, it hit me when moved away from the tanker and both planes were destroyed. I have a track, but unfortunately it's rather long (22 mb) as it happened at the end of the mission so I can't attach it here. I also have Tacview file (trimmed version attached). Thank you Ranger79, so glad that this campaign won't be "dead". Do you accept donations btw?

Mission 19 OP Masada - No Truck Movement; No Rolex
lester replied to AirAssault237's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hey baltic_dragon, many thanks for the update! P.S. Eagerly awaiting your new Raven One campaign -
