Just noticed that they don't land that Charlie -35 the same way the navy lands the hornet on land based runways. Nice soft touch on the mains and aero braking.

Plans change and that's ok. It's nothing personal. Of coarse when things that I am into are announced I'm excited and if those don't come to fruition I'm disappointed. I think it will help to not get so involved that you feel duped. I like reading about what's planned but if for whatever reason those plans change its not like I lost anything. (Unless I was building a pit or something) haha

Hasn't sank to the level of a youtube video comment section just yet haha

IDK about that, that's a harsh judgement IMO, WBC are scum. f16.net are mostly current and ex US service men, mech, pilots ect. They are obviously a little bias to US air power and are always skeptical to any claims of abc vs (input US fighter here) especially the F-22/35.

Well this is defiantly good news for the ole pocket book as many have said, between the AFMs and nevada that I have comeing with my A-10 beta purchase I almost feel like I'm stealing. I can see the business idea behind it though. Thanks ED

The actuall lightening is only half the danger of flying into a thunderstorm. The air is very unstable and unpredictable. It really doesn't matter what you are flying its always best to avoid them all together

We are now moving forward on the next major update, version 1.2.5. Our primary focus will be on improving game performance, addressing game play issues, and setting the stage for further modules. Key features planned for version 1.2.5 include: DCS World Further improvements to game stability. Corrected module installation issues. Resource manager: Corrected logistic links. Resource manager: The value, speed and periodically have been adjusted. Default supply speed is now 60 rm/h. Anti-radiation missiles: Added proximity fuses and adjusted accuracy. Visual detection of a target for AI units will now also be a function of time. The time of detection depends on target distance, aspect angle, and the presence of already detected targets nearby. When a target is no longer visible, the AI aircraft will use the target’s last known position and velocity to search for it. Added "STOP TRANSMISSION" trigger action. AI behavior option "DISPERCE UNDER FIRE" now has new parameter - dispersion delay. Added new AI behavior option - "RTB ON OUT OF AMMO". Added more tooltips to the Mission Editor. Message filter for Lock On aircraft: RShift+\. Added several new constants (AI) and functions (trigger, Controller) in Simulator Scripting Engine (SSE). Detection of radars by RWR have been reworked to make player and AI systems equal. The parking spaces for Anapa and Krymsk airbases have been corrected. Su-25T: The gun funnel has been adjusted. Added new Su-27 skins. The several air to air missile factors have been adjusted. Updated airbase charts by http://www.10thGunfighters.de and http://www.ariescon.com Fixed input deadlock. Su-25: Turning ON the laser rangefinder no longer causes the targeting cross to jump outside the gunsight. F-15: Crash or freeze in the F-15C when on the ramp when changing HUD Modes are fixed. F-15: Negative airspeed values should are now correctly displayed on the HUD airspeed tape. The FC3 installation check has been fixed. “Betty” voice warnings now use native language. The cockpit view system has been adjusted. Looking behind the aircraft will no longer look at an impossible angle. DCS: Black Shark 2 Ka-50 EKRAN refactoring. DCS: Combined Arms Adjusted the machine gun sights for several vehicles. Updated and New Units As we improve DCS World, we are giving a face lift to many older objects and adding a few new ones. Current object work includes improved models for several Russian air-to-air missiles, Tu-22M3 and a new MQ-9 "Reaper" UCAV unit. DCS: Mi-8MTV2 As Belsimtek works on the final release of DCS: UH-1H Huey, they are already hard at work on their next DCS module: the work horse Mi-8MTV2. This will be modeled to the same level of detail as the UH-1H, meaning, you will not find a more accurate and detailed simulation of this helicopter. Improving the DCS GUI In parallel with improving the simulation aspects of DCS, we are also updating some of the GUI to make it much more intuitive to select missions, campaigns and training missions. All of these screens will use a new, common interface. ...and you are probably right. What Is messed up is people getting all worked up over this announcement or knocking the developers capability to put out a entertaining product. It seems simple to me. If you want to take a shot at making a quality sim, hard lvl: a mostly classified A/C. Go for it, if you can convince me its worth investing in a kick starter, I will. Other wise I will wait till release and determine then. Its up to ED to decide what gets a DCS label. By my count they are 1for1 with the huey. Lets just see what it leads to

Doesn't mean much. In the 90s I wouldn't touch lock-on because I thought it was just nothing but eye candy for movie makers. Falcon 4 all day. Now eagle dynamics is the premier study sim developer (IMO of course)

One thing(of the many) I find interesting about the f-35 after watching the test pilot youtube vids is how often they reference the fact that the f-35 handles so closely to the sim the were training on and it made flying the plane second nature. Obviously those are $$ $ machines and they have all the data but it gives me hope that this can get pretty close as far as the actual performance goes

Click on link, saw Carlo Kopp; did a 360 and walked away:doh:

Im ready for the virtual arms race.

Question: Do you plan on your company continuing to develop other A/C for DCS world for the long term?
-
Welp LM might as well stop messing around with that Ol' FSX code and move their resources thisa-way, after all they are a deference contractor haha:music_whistling: I can wish:pilotfly:

B-1B isn't a "stealth" A/C OT. Im in the more the better crowd, hoping for the best

Anytime you are below published minimums and do not have visual on the runway it can be dangerous. I have a feeling these guys either were on a second approach or had a good PIREP from the tower, they were very calm. For me it can be disorientating if im not prepared to fly into IMC ,but im no 10000/hr ATP either

Great listen UCAS thanx, Props to this guy for answering questions for over an hour. I used to go to that museum as a kid going up in San Diego

i am having problems lately with my exports, i am using the liliput um 80 to export my mfds. The refresh on the monitors seems to be having a hard time keeping up with the sim and creates a noticeably choppy image on all pages of the MFDs. I dont remember it always being this way but im not sure when it started so it is hard for me to figure out what changed. I have tried un checking "disable aero interface" no dice. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

it looks like a digital EFIS (electronic flight information system). Usually has attitude, airspeed and alt all incorporated in one display. Very common in experimental GA planes. The new Iranian Stealth is full of them

http://www.barnstormers.com/ad_detail.php?ID=776099 HUEY HELICOPTER BAR W/TRAILER • $35,000 • PRICE REDUCED • This is a trailer-mounted 1970s Huey Helicopter Bar, that's being offered with beer tap, 2-compartment margarita machine, full size chest freezer, bottle racks, etc. We've been leasing it out for events, but now need to liquidate to help re-coop our costs in B25 Bomber repairs. Also includes stainless-steel gurney medical table, which helps promote the "medivac" theme. There's also a parachute canopy that folds out over the service area and motor to turn signs where rotors once operated. Delivery can be arranged. Reasonable offers considered

Not being able to to take pictures is pretty much the norm around most all military installations. At my particular AF base you have to clear any tours or photos on the flight line through public relations. It became common place for our crew cheifs and structures guys to snap cell phone pics of damage to get immediate feedback on weather a part needed to be removed/ordered, it was actually very efficient but a very big no-no so they nipped that in the butt. We have a designated "flight line" camera in our to tool crib. sorry for OT i remember when this was in chit-chat

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
smnwrx replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I'm good with this. For some reason I am not very excited for anything after dessert storm era. I am not sure if its because the real bread and butter of the systems is most likely classified and fudged or i am just intimidated with all the switchology.. -
Did you toggle the L/R extinguish switch to the right of the fire handles?

If they are going to market it as "F-15 with AFM (soon to be DCS)", I would expect the FCS to be on par with the A-10s. Meaning it flies as close as possible using the same control laws/physics as the real deal or else it would be pointless. Just my uninformed assumption.
