I have no experiance in an actual L-39 unfortunately. I do have close to 1000 in single and multi Pistons which really means nothing in judging a flight model of an aircraft I have only seen fly from the ground. The DCS L-39 is very stable which make sense being as its trainer, The stalls are pretty brutal though, I was trying some slow flight (around 160 kilometers p/h) holding level and I got to say it feels like balancing on a needle point at the brink of snap rolling inverted. I even tried an inverted spin and mucked up the recovery and recovered at around 50' down from around 10k, very believable inho even though I'm not sur the little turbine could stay running during a maneuver like this. In the end I find it convincing and fun to fly
I hope the day when my wife walks in to find my Huey parked in the parking lot of a virtual representation of the crazy horse never comes :megalol:
We, as in a member of the armed forces. I think he is pointing that whether you are a pilot, mechanic, airmen, sailor or soldier WE are always training to be ready when called upon by the powers that be.
Cool video man. I met the Col. At an airshow a few years ago. Living in Los Angelas for awhile I have seen my share of celebrities and do not consider myself easily star struck, when I met Bud Anderson I felt as if I among a person who was larger then life. Of coarse he was very nice and loved to talk about airplanes, answering the same question over and over. I just couldn't get over the thought of all he has experienced in his life. Left me mostly speechless.
Yea once I put a bit a more thought into it this makes more sense, especially since the beta guys will be lookin to purchase just the campains. Thanks. Well, off to grab my wallet
im a beta owner who is slated to get the map free, I was thinking it would be nice to preorder another map for a friend to take advantage of the discount and free campaigns. As of now is there going to be any way to gift one of the maps and keep the campaigns?
Beta customer checking in. Big congratulations to ED for (almost) reaching the finish line with this project. Hopefully it is a smooth release and a big weight is lifted off the teams. Can't wait to finally load it up.
Not necessarily true. I have seen solid release dates on modules before. Granted they are usually given out less then a month before it's release. Of coarse that doesn't mean its going to happen for the beta release of 1.5/2.0. What you said is usually correct when they are predicting when development is expected to be finished.
Im a big SLUF fan and i gota give credit to the creators of the A-7 and the USS George Bush ( haven't tried f-14 or hornet yet). Super fun plane to fly and shoot carrier approaches. Bravo!
I'm accually excited about the possibility of a Viggen. Since the clues have been popping up from LNS, I have been researching the plane more and it seems like something I would enjoy. Being an American, the exposure to planes like these are limited and in my opinion getting to try out a realistic simulation of an aircraft and learn about all its systems beat seeing it idle in a museum or on a stick.
Thinkn this would be the best option for me also. I would have no issue paying to upgrade at all. Either way il still get em both, but if I have to pay full for both il most likey wait for a sale for my second L-39.
