I would like to add my opinions about these rudder pedals... and it will be very short: This is a really well engineered piece of equipment. They are very accurate, stable, no wobble at all. They are really well made and I am glad I got them. Milan, thanks

DCS Northern Europe by Starway

I quite like this landscape textures mod  Everything looks very natural and detailed, and I like the new trees. Need to try this out. -
4th gen or 5th gen doesn't matter... TV on any jet of any generation will make a difference (physics doesn't pick type of generation, it works the same for all air frames) No you don't always get ideal conditions... but saying a jet is useless based on very non-ideal conditions which is not even how the jet was designed to be used is, plain and simple, one sided and not the real truth. And when such statements are thrown around and people read it... they come up with conclusions which are not correct... in another words, they make you believe what they want you to believe. I think anyone with decent knowledge and interest in aviation should already know that MiG-29 was not designed to fight BVR like the American planes... that is no secret... and what is left out (intentionally) is that those same American planes are not to get in close combat with that same MiG-29... which is the OTHER part of the missed story.

Conclusions based on picking bits a pieces that suits you is just rubbish, typical "mine is better than yours" propaganda. As Weta pointed out, when US didn't have TV they say its useless, now its useful... I can only roll my eyes about this. And again, they used the MiG-29 as they would use their jets... again useless comparison and "test". If they wanted to see how it performs then they should use it how it was/is meant to be used... they are just fooling themselves, actually fooling "you" as their actual military experts DO know better ;)

Andre, I think I found a minor bug with Sound Module (the Top Most option) I have this option not ticked When I first start Sound Module, this GUI window is always on top of other windows open, even if this option is not ticked. If I tick this option and then untick, then the GUI window will no longer stick on top of other windows. But if I close and start Sound Module again, it will again be on top of other windows -

Andre, here's feedback from me about the effect for Stall Shudders (granted I tested only in testers version)... the shake happens with less than 1G so pretty much it shakes all the time. Also, the shaking is quite strong, I tried reducing it to -30% gain and its still strong. (I wonder do I need to close and restart the SimShaker module for the changes in gain % to take effect?) Another thing I would change (if you can) is to start shake gradually, and as G's and more importantly AoA, increase the shake to increase, it really should not be shaking the same with only little pull and full stick pull. -

Hi Andre, I have one question/sugestion for ground/runway bumps effect. In reality when driving a car for example, when driving across such gaps in the road slowly, the bump is very pronounced and car will shake quite a bit, but as speed increases the bumps/gaps are less pronounced and car does not shake as much (because the time when car is dropping due to gap is very short, it does allow the car to drop as much) Are you able to implement this? It would be more realistic to have more strong bumps when aircraft is slow, and decrease in amplitude as speed increases (say, around 150km/h amplitude would be minimal and hardly felt) -

The kick while touching down is quite strong at +50% gain. maybe there is not enough "bumps" on runway/taxiway to trigger this effect like touching down does? -

Is the runway/taxiway bumps the "4. Ground jolts and buffets" effect? I just did one flight with Su-25A and I got buttkicker shake on touchdown only (but it was bit rough landing) and I still don't get any shakes while taxing, or rolling on runway while taking off or landing. I even turned this effect to +50% gain and still no shake while taking/rolling on runway for me. -
Oh man, 210° FoV and 130° Vertical FoV would be what's needed to truly give that natural vision... I so want one!

I'll try increasing the gain for the effect I don't get, I have reduced gun firing to -27. I guess it's just matter of little time to tweak gain values for each effect to balance them out. At least I got it working now... thanks for your help. -

I am not using Y-splitter. I have buttkicker connected to front channel input on the secondary sound card. The SimShaker option has this sound card sellected for output mode. When I do the sound test, it works fine. I have also set the secondary sound card in windows setup to Stereo mode. I have not made any changes to Export.lua, maybe this is what I am missing? SimShaker.lua is located in .. SavedGames/DCS/Scripts folder, I hope this is the right place... and does it have to be located anywhere else, maybe in main DCS directory? -

Andre, I have attached Debug Info just after I tried again public DCS with MiG-29A. I can see some stuff in Info window, but I don't get any effects through Buttkicker. I know it must be something simple I am missing but I don't know what. :noexpression: I hope you can make sense of what's in this Debug Info screenshot -

Not a problem I mean, when I open SimShaker for DCS World, in Planes FC3 or Helicopter tab, on right hand side there is a row labeled "Gain Level, %" and most effects are set to 0 / middle value. So I was asking, does this 0% value produce sound already and is this default volume value and do we need to increase it to more than 0 in order to get the effect? Yes, I can see activity there, I'm gonna try get that export lua enabled (I never used it so I'm still a noob there) then try again. Thanks for your feedback. -

Yes I have. I got the test sound to work now, I changed the RCA connector on the Buttkicker from red to white (meaning from right to left channel), and now it works (test sound that is). But I still don't get any effects in Buttkicker in DCS (I tried both tester and public version) OK One question: Is GAIN % at 0 default sound level and I don't have to increase it? EDIT: I get a feeling I am supposed to enable lua export (which I haven't done). Maybe that's why it doesn't work in DCS?
