    Hi In this mission I am building the AI UH-60A is tasked to land (COMBAT) and ON LAND timer is set to 23 seconds. After that times it looks like some invisible force is holding the Blackhawk from flying off. Track attached. UH-60A Does not fly off.trk

    This is general DCS issue. Hitting a MBT on the road in Marianas ignites houses around it. It is just that ED is using very simple model damage for things. Stage one is fire and smoke, stage 2 is 3d damage model (Iif present for given 3d object). Fire and smoke is applied even to things like concrete poles or chainlink fence. It the DCS not the map.

    It is not. In the Fulda Gap thread, folks identified locations for two airbases already. Kola is nowhere near the quality of the initial shots I posted and urban area tiles from the second image of my OP match urban tiles of the Berlin Schönefeld airbase presented in one of the screenshots from ED official website / screenshots / FC2024 section

    Oh OK I thought you were on about the fidelity / quality, yes the EA is 'effect' is there for sure, but they gave an estimate of quite frequent updates, I like the approach that current region is pretty much feature complete, I remember I had to resign missions around some added roads / urban tiles to the PG map back in a day. And well, if UM is really behind the Germany map, that would be excellent news, they proved a lot with Syria and Normandy 2 terrains.

    How come. It looks very good, also what we saw so far - in various trailers looks great already and it's just the beginning, map developer did already nice job and it will be even better. I was hoping they would already mention it in the news, supposedly they read out comments here so why bother hiding it anymore?

    Hi Latest update brought a very nice feature "shoot and scoot", however it seems that the SPM Nona is no longer able to reload after its initial salvo. nullIn the track attached I also added additional Fire at Point tasks but still the unit does not reload. It worked before the update, no problems. SPM-DoesNotReload.trk

    That would be truly remarkable... Let's get our imaginations go wild and wait for ED to come and temper our expectations for the still unannounced "no news to share" map.

    LOL This is Kola: That is what I think, maybe apart from the first one, I thought it was Sinai, but no, and maybe Syria but I know Syria so well and I was unable to locate that scene there.

    I wonder what is the limitation of DCS currently in terms of polygons count in a DCS terrain, which directly influences the possible size of the terrain. Then, having in mind constant developments, like the new APi, perhaps the TDK can be expanded so that making a map much larger than we expect it to be. It was mentioned that Afghanistan is the most ambitious project to date, it we know Iraq is also coming, so maybe the Germany map will beat even those and will be released with DCS 3.0, sometime in 2026?

    Long time ago Kate said maps will coexist and continue to be created separate to the spherical earth but who knows. We know the maps right now are not transferable to the Earth project ... but we also know everything is subject to change

    Plot twist - DCS: World Spherical Earth project was revealed not a Germany map...

    All maps in DCS are meant to believable represent given area of operations, however use many shortcuts and approximations. Even that NATO symbol does not look 100% real in the Chinook video. Then again maps are built with the data available, so maybe there is a compromise of actual years aimed for.

    The new Abrams is meant for Afghanistan I think, together with MRAP truck.

    Current focus is on Afghan map and will be for few months I think. Iraq will be pushed towards Feb 2025 but that's just my opinion based on the history of DCS.

    You misunderstood. I know the airfield as I was traveling through many times. I am challenging the origins of the banner itself. It's nowhere else to be found.
