Disabling wake turbulence in options seem to improve pass grades considerably.

Honestly though, with DCS maps you can fly without navigation in daylight or with few waypoints at night

Since the new pilot model is still w.i.p I wish it was considered to create a proper 3D for the patches. Currently it looks like it was a painting on the sleeve, a wrapped texture and not true 3d object. Here is the example of how it looks in real life: null

I had the privilege to know and converse with one of the Ukrainian Fulcrum Drivers. In one of chats we had, he described 'day in a life" where he would fly three sorties one after another, with re-arm / refuel and quick visual inspection / BDA check. When you imagine all the training, like road strip operations training, it is that in fact - land, grab a bite and off you go for another one!

Aerodrome mobile electrical unit APA-5D
Gierasimov replied to JetFighterGirl's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Thanks for the info. However it does make me wonder MRAP and Abrams being worked on right now as per Wags in recent video, and yet things teased and or mentioned years ago get only "no info". I get it that resources, cost, etc, sure thing, but just the logic seems a bit off here. -

MiG-29 is looking to be the newest module, and each module brings something new to the DCS, for me, one of the must have feature is a new model and physics of the drag chute.

While it was mentioned by BN in October last year that We don't have anything else on it and obviously many people saw that YT clip called "NOR Aerial Refuelling Testing" which kind of shows how it could behave in DCS if ED wanted to improve the current state. I also remember that ALE-50 Towed Decoy was awaiting cable physics which I think could be a common tech for both, the decoy and the drogue. Maybe FF Fulcrum's drag chute work will also benefit from / contribute to this?

It does happen on all tankers and with the boom as well (noticeable with the Hog or Strike Eagle if you care to look). Seems almost like after the "transfer completed" the tanker slows down a bit. It is annoying and been raised at least once before. I mitigate it by throttling back immediately when I see the message "completed". Yes, ED or more specifically Wags hinted that the "new hose and basket" physics are being worked on, but: 1. It was never officially announced (newsletter, or module roadmap). 2. We never had any confirmation or factual status update. 3. Maybe it is being worked on by a third party for their module??

Who do you mean by "they"? If you want to discuss the simulation of late 90s' we should focus on Flanker / Flanker 2.0 / Flanker 2.5 as these were by Eagle Dynamics. However, by the "FC3 standard" we could assume that this public information is enough to build it: Simulator Su-35 (topwar.ru)

Hi F-2, Sure, FF Sukhoi would be a welcomed addition to the DCS, no questions asked. Now. "Would probably", "slightly less draggy" should, would etc. won't cut it here. The most important thing is officially released documentation of the said airframe. To give you some perspective - when researching Cobra Whiskey, no such documentation was available and ED said "no, we can't", now that the documentation is available ED says "possible, down the line". The same is applicable to not only Sukhoi but ANY aircraft of ANY origin (maker, country, timeframe). It is much harder to do aircraft originated from Mikoyan or Sukhoi OKB due to the lack of officially available documentation that would allow ED to bring this into the game in as realistic setting as possible. The lack of such documentation might not necessarily function of secrecy but rather an ambivalent attitude towards releasing those.

Each map object can be set with zone - right click - assign zone - don't change anything in the default naming, size, etc. Then use triggers such as: bomb in zone (could be problematic a little) or zone object destroyed trigger, also with such zones MIST or other scripts can be utilized to "capture" the fact that map object was destroyed. Other than that, you can place a hidden (invisible to AI) soldier next to the building, or on top of it or whatever and have a trigger to register his death and deduct points. Also discussing Syria map is out of scope here so I won't comment more than point out the fact that Syria is coming with big update to destroyable objects - check its forum section and updates from MAESTRO.

I really love the work done with regards to visual damage model that you did for the A-10C II and Ka-50 III. Destroyed Hog is maybe too black but at least it is there, when shot down or otherwise. I wish you included your advanced damage modeling (like teased with WW2) and it's visual counterpart in the Fulcrum project from the EA phase.

Possible UB, G, GT and/or AS variants down the line
Gierasimov replied to NSAdonis85's topic in Wish List
Yep, I don't mind original 9.12 and possibly would also be happy with MiG-29KVP experimental one, however proper K was derived from M so not going to happen before Flanker D or Frogfoot A (although NineLine already said Su-25 it ain't possible). Lets wait for DCS: Flanker 3.0 in my dreams at least -
Air-To-Air Missile Development. We plan to migrate the R-27 (AA-10) family and R-73 (AA-11) missiles to a new component structure and flight dynamics. This will be coupled with a new proximity fuse model that accounts for Doppler closing speed, modified seekers, and a more realistic interaction model between the missile and the supporting radar. This will be done within the larger MiG-29 project framework. Other missile types will also be developed in the same way.

While it would technically be possible to do G variant (with NATO bits) I think in terms of avionics , K is absolutely out if reach right now otherwise we would be flying it. This was the last time we could land MiG-29K on a carrier: -

That is one of the best comments of appreciation I saw regarding Fulcrum. Fully agree!
