  1. Yes
  2. I have been a VR enthusiast for a while - starting with the Oculus DK2. I currently own the Oculus Quest 2, Pimax 8K and Reverb G2. Re: clarity, the G2 is hands down the winner. The Pimax is comparable to the Quest 2 - it's sharp, but it has a level of fuzziness compared to the G2. G2 is very sharp in the center spot and I can read MFD no problem. I have a lot more to say re: the rest of the pimax vs G2 but overall I've stuck to the Reverb G2 and probably going to sell the 8K
  3. I got a 3090ti last week. No regrets... Don't have to spend so much effort tinkering with my settings now, and it looks AWESOME
  4. Really love the work and quick updates you've put into your script. I made a training mission for our group - consisting of spawnable/despawnable SAM sites, patrolling armoured convoys, CSAR and static targets. All of which are toggled/triggered by F10 radio buttons. Also included random BFM and BVR zone, incredible that I created that within 30 minutes. Best part is it's so easy to adjust later on for mission balancing purposes. Love the ability to create a huge clonezone/wiper - I can toggle on and off entire zones just with a single flag. Well done! One thing i find is that i'm usually end up loading every single module in my missions. I know you made this to be lightweight and modular but with so many great tools... I tend to end up using all of them
  5. Just wanted to let you know that cfxGroudTroops.lua is also mispelled It still works but it's just been bugging me for days...
  6. Just went from a 3080 to 3090ti and i noticed a HUGE improvement. I suspect it has to do with the VRAM as well. I will review my memory usage in further details and update here.
  7. Regarding this receiver listening state, does that mean that a flag will have to be activated for the minimum "listening" period? I set the radio trigger to "true' and self switch back to "false" immediately upon activation. Is the inconsistent activation due to the flag being activated for too short a period of time? I just saw the Radio Trigger module and am very excited... I was under the misconception that it was to do with the aircraft radio instead of the radio buttons Thank you so much for such detailed replies. I really appreciate the effort you put in!
  8. It turns on the lights when you get very close. Probably within pre-contact range, about 0.2nm
  9. Thanks for the work Im finding that I occasionally have issues triggering some actions. For example I can clonezones to consistently trigger when flags are increased, but sometimes it doesn't work consistently when I set trigger method to ON. I'm using Add radio menu, flag 1 true. When flag 1 true, flag 1 off - to switch it off again for a toggled F10 options radio button. Clonezones with " f? 1" to trigger. Is there an easier way to make radio toggled triggers?
  10. Ok got it I am currently using the way you mentioned I asked this because I am familiar with MOOSE which has a function called InitRandomizeTemplate which does just that. It allows randomisation of groups which replace the original group but maintain the pathing. However i'm not a LUA expert so i prefer the DML method !
  11. Hi Love your mod... it is a very interesting and different way of creating missions. Need some basic help regarding the cloner tool. I would like to create random armoured convoys but to have them follow the same route. Is there a way to select the source as different units but get them to follow the waypoints of 1 unit group? So far it randomises the type of unit group (source: Group1, Group2, Group3). Group 1 has a waypoint route planned, group 2 and 3 do not.
  12. Trim reset is vital when you need to move the cyclic to a predetermined and specific position i.e. autorotation An IRL pilot does not need this obviously but it is needed due to the way our joysticks and center trim works
  13. He does basic navigation really well. Just point and click, he flies in the direction while you sip your coffee. Now i just wish this can be enabled for MP
  14. i dont think its a good idea to limit your collective... maybe put a curve instead
  15. I'm having intermittent success with the voice chat integration. It was working well during my liberation mission, and subsequently later stopped working. I could see my voice mic volume test go up and down in the settings page, so i'm sure the mic is detecting sound on the right input. I could also hear my wingman, but he could not hear me. Just 10 mins prior, we were chatting just fine. Are there any specific ports that requiring forward etc, like SRS? It was a very frustrating experience. We ended up using SRS and it worked perfectly fine. I'm running DCS Open beta with the Reverb G2.
  16. Does SRS ShakeKit work with Simshaker Aviator? It seems the simshaker software is more robust and customisable.
  17. There are lots of mounting holes so you'd need to figure a way to join in together. The diagrams are on the Virpil website under each product.
  18. Learn the mission editor? YOu can create whatever you want
  19. It's easy for probe aircraft as the probe light can illuminate the entire tanker. Line up using NVG but switch them off at pre-contact. Aircraft like the Harrier can also use HUD Reject mode which makes finding the tanker really easy. On aircraft like the viper, i found it really difficult to see the position lights adequately in VR. It's certainly possible, i've done it many times but it's not an enjoyable experience.
  20. Perfect... you guys answered my question completely
  21. I'm trying to explode units which I've spawned with MOOSE. Or some way to remove them temporarily. This is part of a BFM random spawn setup. Spawn_BFM1 = SPAWN :New( "Spawn BFM1" ) :InitLimit(2, 2) :InitRandomizeZones( AirZoneTable ) :InitRandomizeTemplate(AirTemplateTable) :SpawnScheduled( 1, 0 ) :Spawn() trigger.action.explosion(Unit.getByName('Spawn BFM1#001'):getPosition().p, 100) trigger.action.explosion(Unit.getByName('Spawn BFM1#002'):getPosition().p, 100) I've been using this code but it doesn't quite seem to work Each of the blocks of code are run via F10 triggers Any suggestions?
  22. Upsampling seems to work for me too with MSAA enabled. I can't go back to no-MSAA now, it just looks so much better with a very slight loss of clarity
  23. Watch out for the email which says "Order Complete" That means your order has left the factory and has been picked up by the courier. Hope you ordered Priority shipping. I ordered FedEx Economy shipping and my order was delayed 8 days just to meet the estimated consignment delivery date (it actually arrived in Singapore from Lithuania within 3-4 days, super fast, only to sit in the warehouse frustratingly for another 8 days).
  24. I'm getting very good results. There is some image quality degradation, so I have to increase my SteamVR SS to compensate. Capped reprojected 30fps on. Supercarrier with a full deck, low level heli flying in Syria never went below 30fps. I tried headset 90fps but i did get occasional stuttering when the frame rates were 30-35 fps as motion reprojection not activated so I settled on this. Try my settings. I'm using a AMD 3600 with 3080 and G2 so YMMV ================== DCS Pixel density 1.0 Textures/Terrain High Heat blur ON // Flare ON // Clouds Ultra // Visibility High // MSAA 2x // AA 8x // Shadows Flat // Cockpit 1024 // Trees all high Open VR Render Scale 0.77 // Sharpness 0.82 SteamVR global resolution 75% // Per app resolution 100% Reshade plugin with sharpening 1.0 (no sharpening) Windows Mixed Reality 60hz, motion projection auto Capped 30fps (60hz display setting) on the SC with full deck and MSAA Never seen DCS so beautifully SMOOTH in VR before
