Funny I have been hitting those quite easily in the CA-Push campaign. I fly at him with my jammer on at around 8000', locked up in the TGP and Mav ready to fire, wait till he fires (usually around 6.9nm), fire my Mav and break and start kicking out a bit of chaff now and then. Also start jinking to make the missile lose energy. It gets close but not enough before it explodes and by then my Mav is nearly on top of him and he is still tracking me so he gets hit.

They do IF you don't try to make them lose all their energy. I really enjoy Buk teasing...making them let loose their load and nailing them when they are helpless...Wipe out an entire SA-11 site and you will score points big time.

I wonder what would happen if 2 countries decided to go to war virtually on some simulator like DCS....

The number of times I have solved my FS addon programming problems in my sleep....Seriously it actually happens. I see a bug in the simulator in my dream that I haven't even encountered yet (last minute code changes before going to bed without testing) and instantly pinpoint it to some line in the code. Next morning I test in the sim and sure enough what I expected happened. And the solution from the dream is usually the correct one. The brain is amazing...

Weird....My studies of the -34-1-1 show that the guy up front has full control over all the combat systems except certain ECM functions. He can "take command" of a SOI that the guy in the back is using if he wishes. Although I would imagine that would increase his workload considerably. Either way though PGMs can be delivered from the front as well as the back.

So for a new Warthog owner....can anyone tell me exactly what the purpose of the programmable LEDs is? I cant seem to see any earthly use for them except adding some green spots to the panel.

Its something I have also been able to replicate but I think the one work around is to make sure the sim is NOT paused when you make the jump.

From what I can gather, the second vid is actually an Iraqi attack on a US ammo dump.

I thought they still have at least 6-7 years left?

Hey guys So I finally joined the ranks of the warthog owners. Got a question though, is there any way I can tie the button OFF commands for the idle detents in the throttles to the respective engine start commands without using TARGET? Second, for the F-15C FC3 drivers out there, what saturation/curvature settings do you use so that the afterburner detents in the throttle match up with the burner position in the sim? Thanks JB

Its a nice idea but there are reliability concerns...especially if something goes wrong over a residential area. It might have happened if a considerably larger percentage of the world population had common sense but unfortunately he has deceased as far as they are concerned....

I think a canard would make a big difference considering that the lift ouput increases with AoA. You will notice though that as AoA increases the canard starts deflecting down so that it doesn't stall or something like that....Aerodynamics brains feel free to correct me where im wrong.

Not going to work because the installer thinks that DCS is not installed.

Hi guys I recently had to backup and reformat my harddrive. My DCS install was backed up along with it and once I restored things it still runs but I cannot get the auto updater to work. Neither can i install new modules. I am guessing that this is due to things missing in my registry, making it appear that the program is not installed. Is there a way I can get the registry fixed or are there files I should have somewhere so that I can get things working again without having to redownload the latest 1.2.6 version and reinstall? I would like to avoid it if I could because my internet is not the best and it will take several days to download it again. Thanks JB

Happens in any of the A-A capable birds. Su-27/33, MiG-29s, F-15C. And yes i am switching into an A-A mode before trying to turn it on. But I should be able to turn on the radar regardless of that (at least, in the F-15C i should).
