No it is not bad news. It makes good sense to release first to the beta branch and has minimal effects to those who want to get the Viggen asap. Just read the instructions that are posted like on every page of this thread.

Exactly this. Of course a big update goes first to the beta branch. If it is verified stable, only then it will be released in to the stable branch. A company cannot just go risking the current stable product just because of a single release. Hence the open beta.

I'm repeating myself, but: I like CA, but it desperately needs more unarmored units. There is practically no use for machineguns or rockets. We need sagger team, MG nests, technicals...etc. THEN we can have meaningful Huey/etc raids, or a good use for coax mgs that are currently not useful at all. Also, the vehicles in CA should have more damage states. That could be done even with the hitpoint system, though it would be a poor man's solution. A vehicle that is damaged 70% stops moving. A vehicle that is damaged to 95% stops shooting. And you cannot know if the damaged vehicles are a threat or not, so you engage them again. Currently you know always after the hit that you can switch targets.

Because ground clutter isn't properly modelled, it would help if units at the altitude on 10 meters and slow speed would be invible randomly for around 10 seconds. A stopgap measure

The Kord HMG from the Mi-8 would be perfect in this use. Please add truck-mounted and tripod mounted versions

Heck I would be thankful for even regular artillery spotting and ordering fire missions from the binocular view.

Didn't work against the T-55s. Thats a shame, I was hoping that the Mirage gets more cas punch against tanks, and using MK20s against IFVs and APCs was fun.

Yeah, would be nice though. It would make the field more usable in simulated war scenarios. Heck, B-52s can operate out of Echo bay, I suppose it would not be too much ask for the prop fliers to be able to operate out of Mina :smilewink: -

It is really stupid that they are hidden on the mission editor and can be only found again by a menu. Instead they should be just greyed or something like that.

LHA would be nice IF there is capability to use well decks for the amphibious assaults, etc. But because LHAs lack combat firepower, I would like to have a radar functionality and a combat control center.

I would buy even the DCS-desk fan, but I hardly ever fly even the Mi-8. Is there is going to be a new transport helicopter, it would really need to have some nice and fun functionality. Laying mines or something.

Bear in mind many of us have already paid for the product. Maybe no obligation, but it would still be nice for the customers.

I'm having a blast flying the Gazelle, but I'm having slight difficulties in acquiring a stable hover & firing position. When I start the hover, I have to use a lot of rudder so it takes me a lot of time to find the target again and be able to fire at it. I guess that you cannot trim the rudder :/ What would be the best or the fastest way to go from a travel speed at 100m altitude in to a hover and then fire at the target?

I'm afraid that static planes cannot be parked inside the shelters. At least I failed to do so. -

Sadly the first test was not succesful. I set an AI plane in the shelter to deactivate on mission start. I wasn't able to destroy the shelter with 4 MK84s, weird. -
I returned from my holiday and did some tests: if fired over the coastal mountains, the missile pulls 7Gs many times and is almost constantly at 2-3Gs.

JTACs should be able to call in proper artillery fire missions and correct them via spotting. Something better than by clicking the F10 map

Hi, what would be the best way to know if certain aircraft shelters are destroyed? Can I for example place planes inside? I would like to build a mission in which the task is to attack on a base and destroy the sheltered planes. The mission would be succesful if certain % is destroyed. But if I recall correctly, you cannot trigger events by destroying buildings that are on the map. Same goes for other per-set base resources like the trucks.
