  1. Unfortunately, as of v1.1.0.9, changing the dialogs_bar.res file coord to 0, 0, 0, 0 results in the sim hanging during load. Does anyone know how to get rid of the text in the left upper corner now?

Seems kinda normal to me that you need a SPI to drop anything in CCRP mode. If not, how could the computer possibly calculate the release point?
  3. 1) You can open the mission with the mission editor and change your flight's start position to the runway instead of the ramp. 2) This is difficult to answer briefly. The best thing you can do is to avoid being engaged by SAM's by not flying in their engagement envelope. Flying high often helps (depending on the SAM's you're encountering). 3) It's normally enough to land and go to a full stop. This depends a bit on how the mission was created. But that will do in most cases, and it's what I do when I can't be arsed to shut down the plane completely on the ramp.
  4. I'd like to get an overview of the speeds people run this CPU at. I'm running mine at 4.0GHz at 1.180 core voltage. I've tested at 4.5GHz as well, but it gave me 0 extra frames on the ramp. Quite obviously making my GPU the bottleneck. Anyway, I'll be happy to hear what others get out of the 2500K Edit: Perhaps a handy reference: I get 66fps in the Smerch Hunt EN mission (loading the mission and then not pressing any other button apart from Pause and CRTL+Pause) I normally run with Vsync on and maxfps set to 60, but for this test I disabled them.
  5. It does kind of add drama, no? Like you're being "Matrixed" into the cockpit ;)
  6. If you mean the automatic zooming out some when you start a mission, I'd also like to know.
  7. There are 3 modes of autopilot on the plane. Quote from the manual: The EAC provides three autopilot modes to the A-10C: Path, Altitude/Heading and Altitude/Bank.
  8. Well, it is considered rude to write in all caps (the title of this thread). And bold can be very useful to stress something, if used properly. Nevertheless, if you like to write in bold as a matter of taste, I don't mind at all. We're a friendly bunch here and I'm sure you'll get any questions you may have answered.
  9. No labels here. To me, finding the targets is as rewarding as destroying them. I also prefer flying without a wingman cause he makes me feel like I'm as blind as a bat :D
  10. Madmax034, we read you loud and clear, even in non-bold and lower case. :)
  11. That indeed does work quite well, but I'd have more pride being able to do it like the pilot in the clip. :) I'll practice practice practice!
  12. I find the pitch up too violent for that, causing my rounds to be more dispersed than I want. Perhaps my dive is too shallow though.
  13. If one wants to strafe a column of vehicles on a road, similar to the video below. Should you enable PAC and "fight" it or should you disable PAC? When I disable it, the nose of my plane pitches up all over the place even if I do my best to counter the pitching. Edit: I screwed up the embed. Here's the link in any case:
  14. There you go: http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=1&fid=3&pid=311&cid=1
  15. Depends on how heavy your CPU load is at the moment I'd say. On my system the obvious bottleneck is the graphics card. My CPU seems to be very bored while I fly.

    Binoculars

You can zoom in with * on the numeric pad, but it's mostly not enough (at least for me) to spot targets. Gyrostabilized 12- or 15-power binoculars like they used in Kosovo would be a neato addition. Especially for those flights when you go without the Litening II pod.
  17. Printscreen does work, but not in the normal way. It saves the shot in your Saved Games / DCS Warthog / Screenshots folder.
  18. Oh yes you do! It's amazing how much easier is it to understand an American over a Brit for me. Thank you, Hollywood! Damn you, Cockney! ;) Thanks a lot for this, Paul. I can only give you some rep at the moment, but perhaps, some day, a Belgian trappist beer will be my token of gratitude.
  19. Sorry to hear that. I was starting to think that problem had been dealt with by now, and I honestly felt completely confident that practically none would brick anymore. If it's any consoliation: your post scared me again. *gently pats throttle* Think positive though: it's the perfect time to read up on something perhaps. In any case, I hope you get it sorted fast so you can get back into the air.
  20. I'd just uninstall it, and then reinstall it on your D-drive. After the uninstallation you can copy your settings from the Saved Games folder somewhere, so you can copy them back after the reinstallation. Just my 5 cents, there might be better ways.
  21. The sim is a gem, and I absolutely agree on the great community we have here. Glad to have you with us, Ice9ine!
  22. I also still have it. It's still not clear though if this problem is ATI or ED's responsability. Playing without HDR doesn't bother me at all though. At some times even on the contrary.
  23. Thanks for the swift reply, Olgerd!
  24. APU GEN caution going off as soon as an engine is running. What is the change / proper procedure for this now in 1108?
  25. Violently pitch the nose of your aircraft up and down to nod. ;) Hard to do on the ground though.
