  1. That seems rather wasteful :)
  2. I can't make out any specifics (might be my bad) from the quote you posted, Paulrkiii. But from my testing, even with the external tanks switch(es) turned off, upon AA-refueling the external tanks still get filled before the internal ones. So either there's no way to prevent them from getting filled first whatsoever, or it's not properly modelled in the sim. That, or I'm making a major donkey of myself here :)
  3. Impressive video, Reaper!
  4. Hahaha, after reading your post I figured I'd give that one a go. Man, was I in for a nasty surprise!! I flipped the switch at FL20 which was probably not my brightest move ever :)
  5. You've made a great choice, Swe Badger! :) Welcome aboard!
  6. Mustang posted a link here http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1275175&postcount=9 I have also submitted the issue there just a while ago. Since I'm basically only playing DCS A-10C, I personally don't have any drawbacks using 11.6 though.
  7. With pleasure, Mustang. Perhaps it will also make them aware of DCS A-10C in the hope of them doing some optimizations for the sim.
  8. Update: Catalyst 11.8 final still has the problem.
  9. I just tested myself with the WHQL 11.8 one, and the problem is still there. Back to 11.6 it is !
  10. Was this the same build as the one officially released now? If so, I won't even bother testing 11.8.
  11. Depends really. You need to have some basic idea of where the target will be, and then you can search for it with the TGP. I personally think that finding a target is one of the more rewarding things in the sim. But it takes some practice, and above all time / patience.
  12. The 11.8 preview driver also has the problem. So I kinda fear for the final release which will probably be released this week. Unfortunately 11.7 gives me a bit better framerates than the 11.6, but I'd still say that 11.6 is the one to stick with at the moment.
  13. Here's a short track. The glitches happen during the last 10 seconds of the track. And every time I replay the track, they seem to occur at different locations. Edit: Driver version used was 11.7 Flash.trk
  14. Aha, now I get it. I should be able to post one here in about 4-5 hours.
  15. I assume a track won't show the white flashes if it's played back on different hardware? I'll see what I can do tonight to post a video showing the problem. Even though I'm not tempted to reinstall Catalyst 11.7 or 11.8p to reproduce the anomaly. :) Edit: Found someone who already made a clip showing the issue. Not the same version of DCS or Catalyst, but it's exactly the same in 11.7 and 11.8p and pre-11.6. In 11.6 it's not present.
  16. Not a lot of feedback on this, but from my testing: 11.7 and 11.8 preview reintroduced the white flashing boxes with HDR enabled. I rolled back to 11.6, and not only were the white boxes gone, but my framerate also improved. So I'm sticking with 11.6 for now.
  17. But the compound looked so casual ... who'd have thought anyone else but a snakeskin vendor would have lived there?
  18. On the UFC: Func > 5 (FPM) There you can change it to MANual
  19. Concerning 2 and 3: Are the groups mixed by any chance? I had a group made up of a truck and a soldier and when I contacted JTAC they also told me to go bugger off. When I removed the soldier, the problem was gone. Perhaps it bugs on the point where it figures out what to call your target. EDIT: Never mind that. I just did some more tests and even with an assign group set on a single tank, JTAC seems to sometimes fail to give a target. Back to testing for now!
  20. I just wanna confirm it's working with a Humvee, even on a unit 2km away. And I can see the beam very clearly.
  21. Aha! That I did not know. I'll give it a try tonight. Thanks Nate!
  22. Yeah, or else I'll just radio them saying: "Sorry lads: no IR, no CAS." :)
  23. In my mission's case, I just get "no mark" 9-lines.
  24. Mud

    Bingo?

If only you could see my green, envious face now :)
  25. They are triggered before that time (about 6s into this mission test actually). Else I would obviously not be able to even contact JTAC. In the full mission under construction, the player is to destroy units spotted by the SEALs. Once these units are destroyed, the player get's a distress call from the SEALs requesting CAS.
