  1. I think I've found the problem, and it was indeed putting Russia on the blue side. So in the mission where it doesn't work, I created a new mission putting Russia on the blue side and Turkey on the red side. I just made another mission with Russia on the red side and there the FARP is working with the three vehicles I listed earlier. Thanks for the input, folks. Mud
  2. I have got the following at the FARP: Ural 4320-31 Armored Fuel Truck ATZ-10 CP SKP-11 ATC Mobile Command Post
  3. I don't even find that KAMAZ ZIL in the list for Russia. Mind you I put Russia as blue side, could that be a factor?
  4. Could any of you have a look at the included mission. I don't seem to be able to refuel at the FARP, though I think I should have all units present to be able to do so. Quite probably I missed something :/ :helpsmilie: Thanks in advance. Mud KA-50 Training.miz
  5. Never mind, I've got it sorted now. It's not perfect yet, but a whole lot better than the default. I'm already very pleased that I don't have to disable route mode by enabling it a second time. Thanks, f4l0!
  6. I believe he means being able to have any open field to be set as an airbase, where planes can spawn on the ground.
  7. Hey f4l0, Thanks for that. Could you briefly describe how to use these?
  8. That'll buff right out, no worries :) With a bit of practice you'll be able to bring her down nice and gentle!
  9. I tried following these steps, but my Throttle - Hotas Warthog.lua looks completely different. I guess some things have changed since JesseJames' post.
  10. I would really like to see the key settings in controls to be expanded / improved. For instance it is impossible currently to set up a 3-way switch to control Route / Off / Descent mode. I have seen edits of the .lua files to get around it (perhaps not for that specific one), but I still feel it's a shame that we do not have this by default. It would be great if we could get for instance: -Landing Gear Toggle -Landing Gear Up -Landing Gear Down This would suit everybody's needs. I'm pretty sure this isn't only the case for the KA-50.
  11. So AstroEma, that means the function "Zoom in Slow" for instance in DCS does not work with VR?
  12. Yup, I've also noticed this and I'm certain it didn't use to be like that. I have no idea at what version it started behaving like this though because I had a break of about a year from the A-10.
  13. I remember reading a post here a while ago about The Horsemen flying the DCS P-51D and saying you can't get any closer apart from hopping in their pit. I'm not sure what more you want on the level of acknowledgement of the flight model.
  14. Too early, too young, and indeed a big miss to the community. Rest in peace, Blooze

    Top 3 ?

    1) F-14 2) Spitfire 3) AH-64 (I wish) :)
  16. Actually no. Your bombs will start steering too early then and actually bleed off energy because of this. Then they can fall short in that case. In BMS you can lase all you want, and even have to lase a lot longer on moving targets. I have no clue which one is more realistic.
  17. When you've set your profile, you should later then select that profile rather than selecting the GBU-12s directly. That should select them with your set profile. As for the lasing time. It's been a while since I dropped LGB's, but I always had the lase time set at 8 seconds.
  18. Interesting! Seems I'll have to do this flight a couple of times to see if I can reproduce. The wife will not be pleased :D
  19. I had my pitot heat on. What I'm mostly interested in is whether this is a bug or not. Perhaps the heater wasn't powerful enough to prevent freezing during longer flights. Though I'd find that somehow doubtful. Also, is the altimeter linked to the pitot, or is that a completely different sensor?
  20. Hey folks, I just did a one hour flight going from Anapa to Batumi. I was cruising at around 8km and after about 40-45 minutes my speed and altitude dropped to zero. I figured I had forgotten to turn on the pitot heat, but after checking I could confirm that D100 was on. I did a search on the forum but couldn't find an answer. My apologies in advance though if this was cleared out already in another thread. Flight was done in summer, clear sky with 20°C Mud
  21. Ah, good to know. I wasn't aware of that.
  22. You'll have to bind those in the axis, rather than systems. I think what you're trying to bind them to there is more like a button or switch.
  23. I know what you mean, Jateu. I also didn't really expect it to go this way, but on the other hand I'm also not completely surprised. Let's see if we can make it die a silent death :)
  24. I think if anything get's in the way for men, it's often macho behavior. Testosterone I guess. Often can be seen in traffic here. As for men not wanting to listen: I can't say I've seen that behavior here. It's perhaps a more cultural thing then. Mythbusters have done a test also where they were talked into landing a passenger plane and they succeeded as well. Simulator, but nevertheless. The whole debate is rather pointless I think. Practice can make anybody perfect so to speak, and we all have our pros and cons as individuals.
  25. That was a good read, thanks Razor. I'm especially curious on how you experience flying the Huey in DCS. I assume that missing the tactile input is the greatest difference, but are there any other things that you find which really stand out?
