  1. Think I solved it, I changed my rudder axis tuning to linear(default), and I made a takeoff first try. Strange, maybe they changed axis tuning behaviour, I used to have better control before, but now it seems it increased the rudder movement, instead of better accuracy in middle.
  2. Is it just me, or is taking of with 4 bombs making Dora too sluggish to handle at takeoff? Seems very hard to control with rudders, even while wheels still on ground.
  3. You need to hold down right-click, to pull starter, after holding down 20 sec, with left-click. Did you unlock your throttle first, or Throttle to start, RAlt + Home?
  4. It's kind of a silly feature, because the eyes towards the sunlight, will not get that much blended as they already have adjusted to light.
  5. Would be fun, if this animation could be made, when a wheel is hit too.
  6. As this sim develope and more and more units and equipment gets introduced, I wish for a Filter with accurate date of introduction of different equipment and units, to make it helpful for mission makers to make better missions. But also make it possible to change this filter while editing, to make it possible to put in special or low number of better units, like many ( or some) countries have.
  7. You should be aware alot of videoes are from users only using keyboard to fly with.:music_whistling:
  8. I think the computer simulated 3D models, also need actual data from a wind tunnel, 'garbage in garbage out'. And very crucial is data for supersonic, both the shockwaves and the surface layers change the shape of the areas causing drag, so drag is not constant at all.
  9. Maybe a good idea if ED looks at the last visitors on our 'UserCP' page, to see if one name have been looking for email, on all who is listed here.
  10. I got one an hour ago too, if it was a hacker causing the downed Forum a week ago or so, I never use same password on forum for online anyway, or email password. Make sure you delete it, in case it's a fake one, it might reveal your password if you try changing it from this one. But you should probably change both the forum password and online password, just in case. But do it from a reset you started yourself.
  11. I think the IR is getting blocked at +200m, if I remember it right.
  12. You will miss anyway, if you try. Unless you also do it like a dumb bomb, and lase just to adjust the impact. Edit; Trying to do this repetedly seem to fail, using 'Taking Control' after drop I can't repeat it so good. On my Track, above.
  13. It's tricky, you need to attack like using dumb bombs, and depending on how fast you go, it's only 1-2 sec lasing, mostly to stop it from overshooting. Not sure this would work in real world. GBU-12 at 5000.trk
  14. Is it possible the hard runway, instead of softer grassy airfields have some say in this problem?
  15. I personally also have toebrakes with deadzones, and a little negative curve, to make sure it's not disturbing the balance, and also easier to use for adjusting.
  16. I just got the Dora a couple days ago during sale, but after 2 failed takeoffs (not fatal) I got in air, and had one landing going off the track, mostly because it was unexpected. ( I forgot the lock of stearing wheel) But I used to fly IL-2 before, and learned alot in the last Cliffs of Dover. (Corrected, I did fly Burning Cliffs too, but both are a few years back, and I mixed it) And I made better and better takeoffs, and landings, but it really help to have good equipment too. I don't think it's poor simulated at all. Tip; Use the brakes to begin with, to increase power before rolling, and you have liftoff faster to avoid too much fishtailing. Don't use brakes at all to adjust direction, only rudders, exept for landing. (I've seen some do that in Youtube, one failed alot, maybe ok early at too slow speed, but propwash should help making rudders work) Also, to be prepared for the wingstall at stallspeed during takeoff, helps a little.
  17. It looked very good, until touchdown. Try flaring a bit more with increased AoA, when you see runway on sides, to stay as long as possible in air.You have the right AoA when you feel all 3 wheels touchdown almost at once. (Only flare to just below center on Vertical speed indicator) Edit; Watching track 2, I see you got this covered. Rudders are very important too just after touchdown, but keeping the stick towards you to lock the wheel, help with stability, as long as landing is straight. And also toebrakes, if you have a Rudder controller, help a lot.
  18. +1 Only key combo we really need to memorize is RCtrl +L, for Torch light, if it's complete dark.:smartass: But , I have Hotas warthog, and i like all the buttons, and use right CM button to remove cover for Flare, and push CM to use Flare, for instance. For the lock pin, I usually just remove it before taxiing. With mouse click.
  19. I see, those are in 'Game' filter, but not in 'units'. I guess I just looked the wrong place.
  20. Would be nice if sombody could update the User files to include F-86 and MiG-21 into the Filter. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/
  21. If you turn the radar signal off, all the way to left. A Air to Air lock still keep radar locked. I can break lock with Enter (Radar lock), and it will turn radar off, as you can see in track. Also, if you yaw in behind a target closer than 1000feet, the Radar doesn't activate at all. F-86F Radar Lock Signal Bug.trk
  22. Hehe, I did say it was from the original manual, F-86F :smartass: Just in case it's modelled very accurate, I wanted to show why i mentioned the procedure in section 5.
  23. I also noticed after i took control of Track to see if throttle rotate counterclockwise had something to say (original manual says turn it all the way, for gunning), and the radar ranging knob, that after lock, it stayes locked, even if you turn Radar all the way down. Until you move to a side and loose lock. Then the radar is shut off.
  24. You release the elect cage, when radar light is constant? Right now, you get pretty low until it works.
