  1. I have this too, sometimes. Seems random.
  2. Page 43 there is 2 switches that are wrong, 28,29. 28. Pylons 3-4 power switch 29. Formation lights switch (central – off, up – medium, left - weak, right – strong)
  3. I love the F-86 now, but I would probably like having a MiG-15 to destroy bombers too. So no vote here. ( I remember how fun the P-63 was, when i learned to aim better.)
  4. I'm not sure the Recovery button on joystick is under Avionics, but I'll post it here. I sometimes loose control over the plane, and it seems to have something with the automatic stabilizer function, going vertical instead of horizontal, sometimes. Tried to reproduce it in a track, it eventually happened. This time after I climbed near the end of track, and suddenly it became normal again just before end of track. MiG-21bis Unstable recovery.trk
  5. Finally a fighter you can train real dogfights, thankyou too. (supersonic included ofc )
  6. Mods/aircraft(s)? I have two identical folders now, in Mods, I can't remember seeing this before, is it a bug? mods\aircraft and mods\aircrafts
  7. I tried to make a 2 group mission, 2 MiG's in each group, but only one group show up when i enter. I also have about a 50/50 chance of having the cockpit lights (red) on, and not possible to turn up or down, on Hot start. ( No mods) MiG-21bis - Ramp Start Hot.miz
  8. Nice, just checking in to se, and read the new posts here, and checked my mail. My key was in, 20 min ago. Thx
  9. (Wiki) The ASM-135 was designed to be launched from an F-15A in a supersonic zoom climb. The F-15's mission computer and heads-up display were modified to provide steering directions for the pilot. (Directory of U.S. Military Rockets and Missiles. Vought ASM-135 ASAT[5] Accessed on 2 November 2007.) (/Wiki) Service ceiling and absolute ceiling are two different altitudes, I don't know, but it's possible the launch altitude is between service ceiling at 65,000feet, and altitude record, above 100,000feet, maybe around 80-90,000 feet. The drag from 2 fuel tanks and a ASAT missile, could make horisontal fligh, practical neccessary at 11,6km, but it's not the launch altitude.
  10. That #2 Caribou could be fun to have, for infantry transport, and maybe some stunts like this vid show.
  11. And to top the balance, the F-15 is smoking like a oilburner, to let the poor russians with datalink to pinpoint the location even more easy.:music_whistling:
  12. I think it has something with the torque when the engine decelerate down to idle. The Su-25 engine rotates clockwise and the J-47 in Sabre runs counterclockwise. Those flying a WW1 rotary engine, or FW-190 knows what I mean, if you speed up they will move to a side, the same thing happens when a jet slows down. Look from 3:00 and you'll see what I mean.
  13. Think I got one or two bugs here, trying to make a Escort mission. #1 AI F-86F can't keep up speed escorting a B-52 #2 Can only make 1 single B-52 in a waypoint, not possible to have more in formation.(DCS World bug) The F-86 AI seem to try getting the speed in F2 view to become IAS. It slows down. F-86F Outrunned by B-52.trk F-86F Bomber escort.miz
  14. I know I didn't use that much time to get the wording more correct. But to me it was more important to understand it was logic this happened, not needing to really know what the different zones of speed was called. And I'm quite impressed with Belsimtek how high standard there is in this.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: I imagine this could be very useful for small plane pilots, that don't have the availability of a real simulator. Because experiencing a emergency (in DCS) is alot better than having just a theoretical knowledge, if it happens in real life.
  15. If DCS is allowed in China, I guess it's possible to validate routing through asia.
  16. Really hard to tell, seems it smoke much less higher up, if you look at same video at 41:18, but again in a ground attack very low, 42:08 it smokes.
  17. How did they make MiG-15bis not smoking then, a 'rendering' issue that too?
  18. What balance, did they put in a link16 into the F-15???
  19. Nice video, I haven't touched the F-15 lately and find it strange it smokes like a F-86 now, is it a mod, or something new? If DCS is turning into a DCA (Arcade), I just have to stop and wait until something better turns up.... Smoke?
  20. I tried the Star Trek Armada mod in Sins of a Solar Empire, quite good RTS. http://www.moddb.com/mods/star-trek-armada-3
  21. Maybe you could tell us why they put in that little airfoil on the wing then? ..... Edit; Ok, I finally googled it, kind of small for a Fence, but ok, if it does the trick. But not too far away from my guessing, or? http://gtae6343.wikia.com/wiki/Stall_Fences But, this still doesn't explain why I loose aileron control at 580 knots at 5-6G's. (sealevel) Edit#2; Or is it the higher aoa on wings, that make airflow on top go into transonic speed? (I guess this could be it, and i really learned something today) 0:42 , if you really need to save time...
  22. Looking at more Transonic videoes, it's possibly not shockwave, but a transonic wave this extra fin shifts, almost like vortex generators. But I'm still kind of guessing. This one kind of explains it.
  23. I didn't make the Skins, just pointing out the colors for country, probably are too bright. here's one original;
  24. I suspect the blue color here is too bright from sun exposure over many years.
  25. Could be I'm a little confusing trying to explain what happened in my first post this thread, I'll try be more spesific. And I mistakingly was hung up from a multiplay dive I didn't bother looking back on, because the track was long. I basicly was in a turn, and only had yaw control, but I also had pitch control, but somehow I forgot that. ( Maybe because I crashed just seconds later ). The reason I take this up, is a modification on the F model, that could be more useful in transonic speed than the DCS F-86F seem to have, I'm well aware this is only my opinion based on other transonic shockwave information, one is the shuttle's front, that push the shockwave outside ailerons. I'll try explain this here; I could be wrong, but this new little fin, is probably blocking the transonic shockwave, that would make it much harder to have aileron control on older F-86's. It's not 100% effective, but I asume it would help in a dive. And I also experienced something I'm not sure is correct, just below transonic speed I also lost aileron control, during a high G turn. I'll try to show this in a video here; And that last blackout, touching -3G a short moment, really?
