  3. Dear Testers! Found in current release DCS 2.5.2.18521 Update 4 On starting up in Hornet, if you release parking brake, INS alignment is getting into 99.9 error state with INS ATT error. Tested in two servers, multiplayer. Here is video about it https://youtu.be/bNIJ6t6QL9Q However, I can imagine this being a feature, not a bug. The plane can actually make a small movement if playing with brakes, spoilingthe alignment but it would be a quite harsh one :) Hope I could help! Cheersa!

Nowadays DCS is ongoing serious evolution - which I welcome - and making modules seems to get easier with new dev tools, and because everyone is busy awaiting the Hornet 0.0.2, I think too many people developed a pole up in their a$$ , and I think we could use a FUN aircraft. Don't imagine Viggen alike details, just FC3 level. We have some already like Gizella (God I hate those mistrals, troll level 50), but a real troll aircraft would be a ton of fun. So...   8. If you only want to fly it and use none of the gizmos than its really just three four clicks. Power, fuel, generator, starter. Move throttle, wait half a minute and your good to go. Set master mode to NAV and you even get a hud Tapatalkkal küldve az én SM-A510F eszközömről
  9. We have just had our first four ship training with this plane and it's truly unique. It's odd that none of the solutions on this plane is familiar from any known design, like its from Mars. And we are only beginning to learn the basics of the fight. It's also a new experience to trust the autopilot this much.   10. Hi! All what can be said about this topic has been said in this few pages above. The reason I am still adding to it is that I fly on the receiving end of the AIM54/120/7/9 now for more than 10 years with mostly Fulcrum, and Flanker. In my own missions, friends, airquake servers, big events, you name it. TLDR: yes. Long version: Are we talking about organised or disorganised event? The more organised, the more fun will be flying against a Tomcat. Period. A carrier defense breach scenario would be the most challanging, or intercepting a strike package far from home who'll think twice before lighting afterburner. AIM54 on servers: Tough question, but I'd like to slightly disagree with all the above, that 'nah, aim54 is not OP'. My reason: The range and behaviour of the 120B/C compared to ER/ET/77 combo is not that far from each other that it can not be overcome with tactics. The reason you see both russian and american fighters fall down the sky is 1. pilot skill 2. all these missiles are within -comparable- parameters. What if I add the 54 into the game? That little edge (that everyone try to state unimportant), the russian side can gain by maneouvering perfectly against an aim-120 to get a shot is completely lost if you add a few miles to the no escape zone. From that on, your attack on a superior shooter is merely a bold try not to die in the process. On my perspective, if I want to live, I stay out of the Cats' sight. In a Fulcrum-C, killing a Tomcat (or worse, multiple bogeys including at least one Tomcat) is coming down to numbers. 2-3 maybe 4 Fulcrums. You won't see that in airquake servers. Killing an F-15? Everyday at work. If he is good, he'll live. I may also, but we prevented each other from gaining superiority. We both did the job, We go RTB, rest is up for the other guys. Oh, there CAN be at least 1 Tomcat with those F-15. My chances coming down to slim to none. I suddenly have inferior ammunition. Two things come from this: I have to switch to defensive ONLY tactics, most probably low alt profile and I will need a lot of friendlies to match let's say an F-15/18 paired up with an F-14. Those who just want a kill no matter if they die, will to EXACTLY the same they did before against spamraams, with the only difference that they'll die more often, resulting in decreased mood -> not coming back to the server. Another thing is all vs all where tomcats can engage other tomcats. Same thing like an everyday 104th evening, with the exception of resulting less aggressive tactics from the simple fact that you have to turn your ass 5-10 miles sooner if you spot a tomcat. But again, it is enough for me not to get a firing solution. Bottom line: If you give an unresctricted server, unrestricted use of AIM54, everyone will hate if a single tomcat enters the server. That aircraft keeps you at bay, which of course is perfectly fine, but will destroy the turkey shoot game you have on servers. However, If you organise an event, where both sides know what and WHEN they are up against, its not even OP to fly against F-14 that have 6 phoenixes until I know my chances. Especially if you give thee F.14 the role its intended to play, fleet defender. All in all, I can't wait to get my sights on a Tomcat, in which I know that two guys are trying do the same as me :)
  11. Not necessarily. For a centerline tank you need a 3deg nose up trim for takeoff, manual says. Pretty close to the five you describe, also Attitude and altitude hold is a must to use on this baby. Recommend mapping it to Hotas, power grid whatever Tapatalkkal küldve az én SM-A510F eszközömről

  13. rudder bug Hi! I am also affected by this, having a secong generation X45 here with MadCatz profile editor SW7.0.27.13 driver 6.0.4.1. Phenomenon is that the yaw axis is working like its a button. Until I press it it steers the rudder (and it does not even recenters) but the wheel is affected very weakly, if at all. The strange part is that if I don't use the axis ever, the buttons work, but sometimes also got bugged. Don't know if this helps or not... Got through the basics in training section, very uniqe aircraft, thanks for building it ;)

  15. Both for the above. Sam operator would say the valley :) For distances, it is all about who are you against. But there are tech specs you can't overcome. E. G. the Kub Sam, you can not place them launchers further than 500m from the ST radar, but there is wired connection also available. Better signaling in case of interference. Of course for much less than 500m. Newer units have most likely multiple solutions so it is safe to say that within a km range you are realistic. If it is not WW3.   16. Should be able to adjust ripple interval thou, the weapons panel has the "SERIA" switch. In Su-25 in is paired with a ripple quantity selector too, dunno how it should work IRL, but technically it is posibble to create this capability in the game, as su-25 (and also A-10) already had it since early LockOn.

  18. In Create Fast Mission / Advanced mode Battle location can no longer visible, BUT CAN BE SELECTED. This is since first release of 1.5 Besides that, it seems to be working properly. Cheers!
  19. I also encountered the error on basically any mission, but when I used FLIGHT menu "PREPARE MISSION" instead of fly, due to the lack of generating the log file, it neve crashes. Apart from the log, all other features are available.
  20. Nice work guys, BUT, how about re-saving the mission in vanilla 1.2.6 DCS (not open beta) as it is still previous version, then reopening it in 1.5?
  21. Lagging is experiencedd in many many servers. First I joined 3 servers, both lagged, but not always and when lag occurred, everyone was warping all around. In our 59th Server lag appears too, but it is periodical. Once the server doscinnected out 2 of 3 player at the same time but no lagging was present then.
  22. Probably I am the most sceptic 'negative' guy among my fellow Wingmates, Mr. "I told you" but I guess its time to say it was worth 10 years of LockOn-DCS dedication to witness this update. Cant wait the 2.0! Keep it up ED!
  23. It can be most easily defined: If you had a rig that ran DCS previous versions at least 20 FPS, then you can go ULTRA settings without any problems :D
  24. The problem is, most players DCS is sold out to, are not aware of what abbreviations EPM, ECCM, RGPO and such black magic even means. People with knowledge on that would quickly earn legendary stats on servers making the whole game unbalanced even more. Also I'm afraid detailed EW could make exploits to the game, just think of an AI jamming device, or macroing. A noise jammer can ruin a server quite easily. I bet someone will happily point out that "oh yes, thats the point" but no thanks, we don't need Growlers in da haus.
