  1. Download Links: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2476873/ http://www.mediafire.com/file/r9d9w1nbkv0kvrd/The_North_Carolina_State_Collection_V1.1.zip Special thanks to USCSTaylor, Joey45, Skatezilla, and Wrecking Crew ... the "quad-zilla" of DCS knowledge! Shout out to Raven68 - inspiration for the North Carolina State Collection. :D
  2. ... and there is no cure! ;)
  3. Thanks Sierra99. I'm going to add a notional Charlotte NC ANG C-17 to the mix and hang all three at once. The North Carolina collection ... Raven68 will be thrilled. :D
  4. Folks, this is my first attempt at livery editing/making. I thank USCSTaylor for getting me into this addictive pursuit! Then again, maybe I curse USCSTaylor for getting me hooked on this. :D The Flying Badgers are no more, but I hope to make them fly forever within DCS World! Toast to all my 95AS bubbas ... you know who you are ... this one's for you! If you guys think it's good enough I'll wrap 'em and hang it in the DCS downloads section. Here's a throwback 1980's EURO ONE 145 TAS Charlotte ANG bird. Completed. See https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185062
  5. Very nice! Pocket Rocket Seal of Approval! :D
  6. Nominated! Quote of the Year! :megalol:
  7. Someone has hacked the election! Oh my! :music_whistling:  :shocking:
  8. Oh yeah, memories of my Tweet days ... Learn the FIX to FIX technique. We would visualize the method with our pencil held up to the RMI card and then graduate to two fingers and then into your head. As the squids say, whatever floats your boat ... :music_whistling: Here's a Herc Driver explanation: "My personal FIX to FIX technique is the pinch 'n' pencil. First, put one finger on your desired radial and the other on your current course. Pinch your fingers together to get a half way point. Then pinch again either from the desired radial and halfway point if you are going to a further DME or from the halfway to the course if you are going to a smaller DME. The second pinch gives you a good initial heading. After that, perform the pencil maneuver. Draw a line from the radial and DME to the course and move it to the little airplane on the HSI. Now just keep updating and you'll be within 0.5 every time (assuming you update correctly)." Do whatever works best for you! :D Damn the GPS I say!
  9. Thank you USCSTaylor! Great work and fast! I owe you an airdrop mission. Here is a Charleston and your McChord bird taxiing out ...
  10. Very nice!
  11. Request inclusion of Alamo (L92) into the next build of DCS Nevada. https://www.google.com/maps/@37.3637084,-115.1938109,1861m/data=!3m1!1e3
  12. RedDog2, I highly recommend you read SkateZilla's excellent post on the topic. It will save you much pain and frustration from future updates messing up your liveries. Read here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=174462 Cheers,
  13. Here's a poll to gauge interest in an AI parachute, paratrooper, or equipment airdrop object for the Mission Editor and/or Trigger system.

  14. +1000 Having a Mission Editor object, trigger, etc. would be fantastic IMHO!
  15. Congrats on your first solo! Welcome to an elite club ... :drink:

    T-38C Talon Jets

Awesome skins Santus! Can you do a "Smurf Jet" AT-38B skin as seen in my post below? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2372450&postcount=222 Pretty please ... :D I had some good times in those jets!
  17. Don't do it Boris! Keep the future wife happy ... a divorce costs a thousand Rifts. Don't create a financial rift before you even get started ...
  18. Here's a handy set of PDFs to put in your kneeboard or iPad. Includes frequency data for every Navaid and airfield in DCS 2.X (NTTR). I've also included Radial/DME fixes for every airfield as well as Magnetic Course and ILS freqs for the primary/secondary runway at each airfield. Also included are all of the ICAO identifiers alphabetized for your ease of use. Enjoy and fly safe! So get out there and dust off your Tacan navigation skills! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2183887/
  19. I vote wait for improved tech. I just returned my second OR CV1 for a combination of factors. - Poor build quality resulting in intermittent cable connections - Poor visual acuity despite numerous physical adjustments and software setting variations - Good 3-D panning and sensation of flight - Poor heat dissipation from the "scuba mask" (perhaps I should have flown in the tub) - High cost vs. performance benefit - Artifact anomalies that could be optical lens errors, my myopia or software generated Your results may differ ... have at it but: CAVEAT EMPTOR! Final assessment: For flight simulation, the unit is not ready for prime time. The VR concept is worth pursuing IMHO.
  20. I'm driving 3840 x 2160 on a Samsung 40" 4K UHD with a 1070 and I just returned a OR CV1 because I was disappointed with the visual quality in GEN 3 VR.
  21. Thanks! I resolved the canopy issue by changing graphics drivers.
  22. Dingo_Bob, Do you have a mission file with that trigger example? If so, I'd love to see it! Backy 51
  23. Oh, to have an airdrop object of any type other than the illuminating bomb flare!
  24. I third that motion! Is that "photo-shopped" or an actual AI script? It looks like the "ejected pilot" animation somehow activated several times in sequence. I would love to know how to do that!
