  1. Do formation flying, take off and landings, combat using all weapons. The following axis settings are also suitable to make wonky joysticks usable. Mind that Xbox X S series controller is better than many full-scale joysticks on the market. Instructions: 1. Pair your controller and make it detectable in DCS (check Settings - Controls... it should have a dedicated column) 2. Exit DCS 3. Navigate to ...\SavedGames\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\F-5E-3\joystick and BACK UP your controller setting file "Bluetooth LE XINPUT compatible input device*" 4. Copy and paste the whole content of the provided file 5. Launch DCS and verify correct mapping. 2. Please post a modless track with DCS log and DX Diag. I've got an information that this issue is still under investigation.
  3. I highly recommend starting with this, complemented by the author's YouTube videos Requiem's F-5E Cockpit Workflows & Kneeboard (updated 10/8/2020) - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312277/ The playlist link below: DCS F-5E Tiger #1 - Aircraft General - YouTube — And that's right after watching the excellent Bunyap's walkaround video Bunyap's walkraround and introduction for the F-5E - note some of the videos have around 20,000 views! LINK Those are fast tuts (whole F-5E playlist) (note the error of corelating HSI with ADI Fast erect) and the Canadian guy has some nice slow live streams https://www.youtube.com/@Coolhand101e/streams
  4. I see. You could always try to re-create the event in SP.
  5. Meanwhile on December 4th DCS 2.9.10.4160 There is supposed to be a way to roll back to a previous version but I have never read up on it https://forum.dcs.world/topic/134493-the-dcs-updater-launcher-gui-utility-version-20-2023
  6. I'd say South Atlantic map, no idea about the airbase.
  7. I'm really glad to see ED did the right thing and added proper high energy vortices for LERX. Also featured: parking kit service access covers for the cannon bay pilot helmet visor up/down ! Much more from this guy but all lands in his 'Live' tab. https://www.youtube.com/@Coolhand101e/streams Coolhand101e - Dec. 24th DCS F-5E X-MAS BONUS - YouTube —
  8. What are you trying to say? SA-10 is clearly listed as part of the HD model update.
  9. I know. I'm treating the whole labels thing as a bit of a tongue in cheek matter at this point.
  10. It doesn't help anything and is visible at first glance And I pitty anyone trying to run DCS with minimal Anti-Aliasing.
  11. That F-5E dev with his December 24th update
  12. I don't think you're going to get any meaningful information from forum dwellers. I'd suggest simply contacting ED Support.
  13. Black paint (?) is applied with lettering masked to keep the base semi transparent plate free. The paint is matt. As I said, it appears flat.

  15. Exactly. It's both incorrect and counterproductive as far as in-game rendering goes. That's the clue of this particular issue.
  16. There is virtually no outline. You take the panel texture, slap freshly created lettering, de-white it some 5% and you're done. The real labels are THAT sharp looking. All the rest you leave to your mip map generator to handle.
  17. This is a real F-5 panel I own, in perfect condition. The outline you may see comes mostly from camera grain on the overexposed photo. In case of backlit labels they may in fact be very slightly debossed. It doesn't change the fact that they appear completely flat in most lighting conditions. Let me get a better photo.
  18. I was about to post a series of reports with remastered cockpit issues. This being the main one. I intended to title it 'Most of cockpit labels should be convex, not concave'. Or embossed, whatever you wanna call it. Silk printed labels do appear flat or slightly embossed and it happens that's the look that should be reflected with F-5E, and F-5A, T-38 for that matter. Only very few panels may exhibit some "milled in labels" look. There's also absolutely no contrasting outline on the fonts of the original cockpit. Which is rather obvious.
  19. An excellent article! Be on the lookout for 1.1 features landing already int he weekly builds Libre Arts - FreeCAD 1.0: new features and the larger picture - https://librearts.org/2024/11/freecad-1-0/
  20. I will! Curiosity took the better of me.
  21. This one as well? The common "performance tanking when up close" factor seem hard to ignore.
  22. What's your wake turbulence setting?
