No, not that one. The one I'm looking for*** had a dramatic ejection attempt. And was somewhat close to saving. In Salgareda it was hopeless all the way. *** much higher loop pretty sure it was at a Russian airbase possibly part of the loop was in clouds (dark setting of the video)

Just when I thought a lathe is the last and final piece I need, boom! This stuff! Sheetmetal shaping podcast - YouTube — Ep 25 | The Language of Aviation | Metal Shaping Aircraft Panels w/ William Tromblay - YouTube — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOfbAoWSUu4

Do you, by any chance, have the one with failed Su-27 ejection? Pretty old VHS recording by a guy probably on the ATC building. The pilot ejected so low out of the loop he hit the ground probably with the ejection seat still attached.

I only wish for the new rubber donuts model ASAP ! I can wait with the rest.

@Madpie Wow, solid work! I can order paid CNC parts but I do not have a dedicated room. Everything I do apart from the weapons and fuel panels will have to be compacted or detachable and stowable. I'm currently in the process of establishing the best approach for me. The initial was to permanently attach stick and throttle fittings to metal parts of my massive office seat. The only problem is the most disturbing forces come not from the stick but from the pedals. I designed them so they abut on the wall. But the seat is free to roll back AND rotate. A thick plywood panel on the floor may be unavoidable. I'm pretty sure doing away without it is going to keep biting me. I must crack this before I proceed. In the meantime I did more workshop building time than simpit building time for sure What 3D software do you use? Are you willing to share the STL/STP files? I use FreeCAD. I'm going to try to dig up the names and dimensions of the additional pieces of the original avionics equipment during the vacation break.

LAlt+F1 (hold) + mouse should work as well. Even during pause.

As I look back I spent some 80% of my simpit time on fixing and troubleshooting that yellow demon. Problem solved and good riddance!

Replays work in-game only. The playback is not reliable. Instead of a juicy mission playback your aircraft may crash into the ground 3 minutes into track playback. For video playback the simplest option is nVidia Geforce Experience / Shadowplay. More

With great audio updates in the recent years I've noticed once a video gets to YouTube servers the audio quality takes quite a hit. I was wondering whether anyone has a tested workflow to retain lossless audio all the way to the YouTube upload grinder. I've got 2 ideas: 1. Switch to OBS entirely 2. Keep using nVidia for recording but record lossless audio with OBS 2A. Replace the audio track using lossless mode of VirtualDub or Avidemux Any tips? Any proven OBS config that leverages nVidia's technologies found in RTX 2xxx series?

GPU HAGS and Windows 10 Game Mode
Bucic replied to Bucic's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
@LucShepI know, I just had to see for myself That's why from the beginning I was emphasizing 'GPU-limited'. CapFrameX is a golden tool. With its Compare feature you can check stuff with 2-minute benchmark runs. No need for prolonged mission recordings.- 8 replies

GPU HAGS and Windows 10 Game Mode
Bucic replied to Bucic's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I've just finished benchmarking. TLDR: Same as in late 2023 HAGS and Game Mode are detrimental to performance on my system. The combination of HAGS with Game Mode Gives the worst results. The performance loss is relatively small. Here's an overview of the test track file- 8 replies

GPU HAGS and Windows 10 Game Mode
Bucic replied to Bucic's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks, @LucShep My RTX 2070 is leaning far towards GPU limited* so thankfully I can skip some of those. The rBar I have set long time ago. It's tempting to give HAGS at least two CapframeX runs. Shouldn't take THAT long. I'm asking again in 2024 because in 2023 HAGS was detrimental to performance on my system, confirmed with CapframeX. * after years with Lock on and then DCS I can say - %7$&!g finally!- 8 replies

Controller: You are correct as far as gameplay goes. With replay the inputs are already embedded in the track file. If the opposite was true no one would be able to replay your track without your controller. Just save as new defaults: The newly saved tracks is subject to the very same - Minute mouse movement triggers camera takeover - no more recorded camera movement. Mods: While I submit track files for bug reports with mods disabled, this is far fetched. With one audio and one shader mod... But what indicates it's not related to my mods is that eventually I did manage to get the correct replay. I only decided to post about this because this is the only track file I have with the behaviour. I'll try to acquire one without mods in the future for the sake of going by the bug reporting book. What was the estimated timeline for the release of the new track recording system, wasn't it 2024? PS. I just had to salvage that particular track. Those are some solid Xbox shots

I'm talking "not at all here". Besides, that's not how track files work as far as controller input goes. The inpus is recorded and set. DCS doesn't waggle your joystick nor communicate with the controller. I managed to replay it correctly. Apparently the following interferes with track playback: 1. Ass soon as I hit "Fly" I pause. 2. LAlt+C, LShift+F1 to set camera pos 3. Unpause and play to the end Now, with such a recorded mission the problems are: 1. Minute mouse movement triggers camera takeover - no more recorded camera movement 2. Often the whole scanrio is wrong - my plane is doing circles in the replay. Track attached. Unformtunatelly it's not non-modded. 190 IA dogfight Thunder FULL mission success 2 kills.trk Here's the 100% correct replay I managed to finally trigger

Those two settings always seem to give mixed results or were outright detrimental to performance in DCS. What's the current status for the two? Any other controversial settins that came to be useful in 2024? VBS would be one additional setting worth taking a look https://www.tomshardware.com/news/windows-vbs-harms-performance-rtx-4090 SPECS: Windows 10 1440p LG UltraGear 27GP850-B G-Sync Intel i3-12100F RTX 2070 8GB MSI 64 GB RAM Motherboard MSI PRO B660M-A WIFI DDR4 (MS-7D43) Key words: Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling

BTW, bluntly said, the initial implementation of warbirds audio was offputting. Now, SBX G6 seems to be one of the best long-time purchases I have ever made.

For the past month or two I mostly shot short nVidia recordings. Whenever I tried a track replay, nothing matched compared to what I did during the mission. And it's not "divergence with time". The recordings are completely different to my actions.

I think your recommendations are more akin to Middle-Eastern "deserty" camos, judging by my quick search. This is what I meant
