  1. Mummy / Brendan Fraser version
  2. To me the biggest surprise was the popularity of sand maps in the "what map are you most eager to get your hands on" question.
  3. It took me less than 5 10-minute runs in the Thunderbolt Furball IA mission. So I'd say the bug is rather easily reproducible. The attached track file should also be less than 5 3 minute long. EDIT: I have too little experience with Dora to tell whether it's "MW-related" or related to some other aspects of engine operation so I'll leave the track in this thread and won't be posting in the other thread https://forum.dcs.world/topic/334123-engine-overheating/page/3/ EDIT 2: Video uploaded. A very distinct moment when the temps go up and the engine sound changes. bug 190 IA furball Thunder ENGINE ovht 2024-05-01.trk
  4. Does anyone have copies of the attachment from the OP by @Yo-Yo ? Or is there an updated version of the article? While we're at it, were there any significant updates to the engine or the pumpernickelgerate modeling since early 2020?
  5. Tracking setup... Well, the zero phase is getting the geometries correctly entered in the tracking software if you're using a DIY solution. If not, phase 1. I'm NOT savvy enough to give tips on that subject but I poked someone today, who certainly is. See the comments under this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyXui8_fOzY

  7. I'd help if I knew anything about texturing beside "alpha is transparency"...
  8. @edup71I was referring to cockpit textures. Haven't seen external shots of the FC24 '5.
  9. @Doughguy Thanks for giving it a try. Would you be willing to share the current version of the damage textures as a WIP? I seriously doubt it's going to look worse than the stock ones.

Well, if you go for either the weapons panel or the fuel systems panel, those are quite easy to pull off. The 3D printed stick is available so in my eyes the throttle qdrt is the biggest challange. If you have any questions or thoughts, do chime in the linked simpit topic. Not a word from me about the simpit in this thread, I promise
  11. And that's what skill-based gameplay is. Many of us do not play multiple stat-based genres for a reason.
  12. Not only it's the old textures, it's even the old set without fixes. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305829/ Back to tuning my drill press...
  13. Same here. Also with F-5E being one of the most dad-friendly modules I can't imagine what you'd simplify further.
  14. Is the F-5E going to have better cockpit and external 3D models than the standard FF DCS F-5E module?
  15. Longshot and B4ME might be good dogfighters but I have never seen anyone else ride the '5 like this guy! Probably a RL pilot as well. https://www.youtube.com/@murdok123/videos

With each new wacko there is always a hope to bring another poor soul into F-5E simpit building

  18. Darn it! I guess I won't be doing any simpit work once you release it Quick question. What resolution might be the stock P-47D textures? They look closer in terms of quality to your textures than to what we have as stock textures for Dora.
  19. Same here after the update. Grab short track files gents! https://forum.dcs.world/topic/320363-engine-issues-when-using-mw-50bug/?do=findComment&comment=5415389 The real deal RL manual for the Jump engine in this post
  20. I've been flying the same mission over and over for the past month. At least before the main April update. IA - Thunderbolt furball. Always the same way: 1. 0-1000 m 2. 350-450 km/h mostly 3. yankinkg the throttle (Xbox controller) 4. not touching the radiator flaps knob 5. MW50 used CONTINUOUSLY, sometimes over 5 minutes at full throttle without a single retarding of the throttle. Before update: No engine failures without battle damage. After the April update: I started getting unexpected engine failures. I think they are preceded with a pop sound. I'm going to try to grab a short track file.
  21. Thanks for chiming in! That was what I suspected but wanted to make sure I'm not missing something obvious.
  22. I'm going to try this out: Also found anothr thread. Recent bug being hunted down More findings Even more I guess a shoddy manual does translate into higher post count.
  23. You revert back by the feel of your physical controls. I think I can only only achieve that by diving down in the cockpit. Just stating the obvious
