I hope so. I've always said that this module has a lot of potential for future expansions.

I hope ED will be able to rebuild the hype for the SC again, because that Launch Operations video Wags made drew a lot of attention and not just from this community. With that video plus having a release date attached to it and for the SC to be delayed killed the vibe for any potential newcomers, IMO. People's attention span is like gnats. Got to grab it when you can.

Wow. Unfortunately, there's other people that think this way too. Some people's train of thought amazes me at times. This is yet another reason why I'm not a people person. Also shows that ED is damned if they and damned if they don't. Now people are saying they're being too transparent. smh So sad.

As pessimistic as ED sounded about the issues with the SC, do y'all really think it is going to be released this month? Again, I think we need to tailor our expectations for the SC release. The last day of May should be the earliest to expect it.

Dude, just let it go. Multiple people have told you it doesn't work that way. Even an official ED person has told you. They're working to get a good OB build so stable can get updated. Nothing more we need to know.

Exactly! Although I am curious, it's not necessary. Besides, there are already too many Project Managers on these forums. They're already telling ED how to handle the OB & stable versions, and now the SC. You give people an inch, they're going to take a mile.

I don't think y'all get how software development works. Why do people think 2.5.6 is nothing but graphic engine improvements. We have no idea what code has been implemented in this version. The module specific fixes you're wanting are coupled to the 2.5.6 code base. So are you requesting that those fixes get decoupled from the latest code and put into a stable version? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you missed my point. I wasn't saying we should not give ED another chance because they missed dates twice. And I especially was not saying get a refund. I'm saying there's no point in you wanting them to give a date. I think we ALL should just level our expectations on this release. ED has obviously run into a serious issue code wise. Although I said it jokingly, I was kinda serious. I'm leveling my expected release to Q4 2020. That's just me.

Does getting a date really matter now since they've already missed it twice? It'll be better if we set our own expectations. How about Q4 2020? That'll give them plenty of time to surprise us.

I wasn't going to speak on this topic anymore, but I have to say I agree with you, because I felt the same way. I have always said that, to me, the Supercarrier was one of the most under promoted modules I have seen from ED. There were only 2 videos created for it. With other modules, we were getting videos almost every week or every other week, especially right before release. The bottom line is that they just missed handled this debacle, and even ED couldn't deny it. I just hope there's nothing major needed to fix the issues, such as a complete code rewrite. I hope they can get the issues squared away "soon", because I see so much potential with this module, especially with user interactions.

I do wonder if a developer can tell before hand, by knowing their software architecture, if their software will benefit from Vulkan, or do they have to implement it entirely in order to see if there are benefits?

IMO, Kate seemed optimistic about multi-threading. I don't know the difference between multi-threading & Vulkan, but hopefully either or both can help with performance.

I think either my Reverb may be going bad, which is my second one, or WMR is bugged. I have to attempted to open WMR multiple times to get it to run. Also, it crashes explorer. Whatever is happening is annoying as hell.

I believe he's just ejecting, possibly while AC is on deck. In case you didn't know, you can walk around once you've ejected.
