Actually this thread is embarrassing. I don't understand why people create panic. The game producer and the developers are both saying we are working hard to get this done, and people still ask is this going to get done. Makes no sense to me. Wags even mentioned the reason why the Tomcat was in the preview video. They have confidence it will get done. Im only defending common sense here.

I defend common sense, not ED. If you haven't noticed hardly any of these questions in the thread have not been answered yet. Some have been answered indirectly by being moved to the wishlist thread. I was one of the main ones asking why none of these questions are being answered, but I made peace with the fact that ED is not going to answer most of these questions until the SC is released.

Exactly. This is why being "transparent" is not always a good idea, because it opens the door for wanna be project managers in this community to start asking ED questions about their work and why isn't this or that not done yet. I appreciate the insight though.

:lol:A lot of project managers in this community. The "how" is ED's prerogative. The fact that they're working to get it done is ours(customers). That should be the only thing that matters to us(customers).

Wags did say they're postponing the EA release until Apr 15th because of the sale.

Can you show me where in BN's reply it states which newsletter will have the SC news? All this does is creates a domino effect of misinformation. There were no promises made and no specific newsletter mentioned in his reply.

I believe the statics are going to be moving in place. Just my opinion though. However, there was a video from Silver_Dragon almost 2 years ago showing new animations ED was working on at the time. I believe he just imported the models into 3D-Studio Max and recorded it. Here's one below. There was another one I can't find anymore, but it was showing animations of the model using tools.

I don't know about that. I believe they are limited by hardware and software. I'm sure there are some things they want to do, but cannot do at this time because of the hardware/software limitations. No point in adding a bunch of rooms to the SC or a tank module(just an example) if the game performance suffers. However, I do agree, the future does look bright for DCS.

Well, IMO, I think the SC is the only module I have seen with such a lack of promotion. As you said, 3 months and 1 video which was 3 months ago. I too want them to get it right for release, but the lack of info is mind-boggling. Now if they were to say, we don't want to provide any footage until a release date is known so they can do a release trailer or training video, then I'll understand that. But this constant "soon" is like nails on a chalkboard to me.:)

Please check the Wishlist thread for your indirect answers. The fact the these questions have already been asked, and moved to the Wishlist thread indicates that these features will not be implemented at release. However, maybe ED is future proofing the SC for future implementation of features like these. The point is, no one knows what the Supercarrier is like. All we know is that there's 21 days or less until release. Given the way 2.5.6 has gone, I wouldn't be surprised if it's delayed. But thats just MHO.

I don't know why people think throwing more devs at a problem will solve it quicker. Software development does not work that way. ED is already working on fixing the issues and they have resources to use on other aspects of the sim. What's wrong with that.

Yeah I checked my expectations when the pre-release occurred. At that price I knew there wasn't much to it on initial release.
