  4. You can always cancel university ;)
  5. I can also recommend these alternative Sabre soundtracks :D
  6. Keep in mind that the Fw 190 D-9 is an Eagle Dynamics product and Mi-8MTV2 is from 3rd Party Developer Belsimtek. Belsimtek's EvilBivol-1, responsible for the English Manuals, has been away for a while because of family issues (see http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2077351&postcount=40) which is probably the main reason for the delay of the Mi-8 manual. It's also not really fair to compare the Dora and Mi-8 manuals. The current Fw 190 D-9 manual (see http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2086443&postcount=1) is only 118 pages... I'd expect the Mi-8 Flight Manual to be much larger.
  7. Everything is subject to change ;)
  8. Thank you. I did not find a direct mention in your linked documents, but from what I read I assume the following: "Ft": "Funktelefonie" - radio telephony "Abst": "Abstimmen" - frequency tuning
  9. There's also F-86 soundtrack #2 on btd's soundcloud page:
  10. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
  11. 5:0 unbelievable!
  12. Does anyone know what the abbreviations "Ft" and "Abst." on FuG 16ZY Anschlussdose AD 18 Y (Anforderungszeichen Ln 27266-2) mean / stand for (incl. source)? I think "Ft", sometimes referred to as "FT-(Sprech-)Verkehr", may stand for "Funktelefonie" (normal transceiver mode), but I cannot find a source to verify. "Abst." is probably ZY mode ... Z=Zielflug=DF=Directional Flight in the direction of a beacon Y=Y-Verfahren=transponder system in which a ground station sends out a pulse which is received by the aircraft. The Aircraft resends this pulse on a different frequency allowing the ground station to determine the direction and distance of the aircraft So "Abst." could mean "Abstrahlen"... Can anyone shed some light on that? Update: http://www.nonstopsystems.com/radio/pdf-hell/article-hell-bernhard-DLftT-FG16ZY.pdf P. 39: Thanks to mwd2.
  13. I agree!
  14. Excellent!
  15. Thanks for the tip. Now let's see how long shipping to Germany takes...
  16. No, the official flight manual for DCS: F-86F is not yet released.
  17. Tom73, thank you very much for your help! The Sabre is also "sort of my hobby" and I can tell you we are trying to recreate the original cockpit as good as possible.
  18. I have those: http://www.amazon.de/North-American-Owners-Workshop-Manual/dp/076034292X/ http://www.amazon.de/American-Pilots-Flight-Operating-Instructions/dp/1935700391/ They do not cover the exact variant of the F-86 we are getting, but are very helpful nonetheless. If anyone has this document in PDF format, please let me know: http://www.avialogs.com/en/aircraft/usa/northamericanaviation/f-86sabre/f-86f-25-thru-40-sabre-standard-aircraft-characteristics.html#download Thanks!
