Once in pvp , m29 on radar and I was killed by an aim120? I didn’t think to much of it until I set up a mission for myself to practice a to a. i set up a mig 29 who shot me down and when I looked at the outside view it was a hornet ai!?(no other planes) in map view in the info panel it showed as a mig29. I may be rubbish at a to a but ED are taking the mick now although light hearted they were definite occurrences

I have varifocal glasses. ( for reading). I do not have to wear my glasses in VR. How wonderful is that ( vr better than life?). I believe if your farsighted then your ok without.

I have always loved the f16! Falcon 4. yes go for Syria map. I wasn’t going to but my mate bought it for me. It is superb but yes heavy on resources. F16, as someone said “it really grabs me”. Choice between 2 definitely Syria despite my love of the viper, get f16 at later date.

Provided you’ve hit “take off” and leave the new dialogue box open then “accept result” should be a new option.

There are two terrific mods at present = CGTC and Better trees for Caucasus. I know people may have different opinions but these two together are far, far better than the "vanilla" version (not even close). If ED can bite the bullet and say "yes this is better than we provide we will change them" then all are winners!!(with the agreement of the talented modders). Rather than get them spoiled by "updates":cry: I urge everyone to check them out.

After jumping back in the shark after some time and finding how much I love flying it, the SHKVAL seems useless and therefore the shark itself! Despite playing with contrast and brightness and also using a fix for the baked in reflections its no go for me. Please attend to this ED. It was fine in the original

Hello, I have a rift s which I’ve had for a while, but for some time has been dropping tracking on forward and backward movement. I have tried almost everything in the suggestions except buying a usb 3 pci card. My question is this , Is there anyone who has not sorted the tracking problem permanently? Ps have tried ,room lighting, I have usb3 different slots tried. Powered usb hub, repaired oculus, unticked usb power settings in windows and many reboots.so now nearly at the end of trying. I would like to know if anyone has NOT solved this problem. Thanks for your time all.

This helped me a lot, - and is simple to do and adjust to your liking- I find values of 8 and 3 a bit strong. open the file with notepad++ or similar. In ...\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\Multipurpose_Display_Group\Common\indicator\MDG_strokesDefs.lua change the following values: DMC_outline_thickness = stroke_thickness * 3 DMC_outline_fuzziness = stroke_fuzziness * 1.1 to: DMC_outline_thickness = stroke_thickness * 8 DMC_outline_fuzziness = stroke_fuzziness * 3

Led The font outline is great, there is also an LCD mod for the hornets 3screens which is very good and I use it. Will try the font also.

ED direction On but Off Topic.:hmm: Great fan of DCS since -Blackshark1 = Wonderful stuff and A10C-talented people! However since getting back into DCS, I feel its lost its direction (this thread being a good example of this). Its core was- Modern and modernish? jets, helis etc. In my opinion its spread itself too far - WW2? Normandy, CA,. Nevada map? Before anyone gets upset - I think that these projects are fine, but please please concentrate on the core of the sim and what got DCS up there in the first place!! Quality aircraft and maps with a team improving and debugging what weve got. Despite my quiet rant, I am a huge fan of these talented and hard working people - but please please focus on your core and spread out slowly. But hey if you can produce all this and control it then great!:). A concerned fan

Find attached an AUTOHOTKEY file that - 1. Starts Track IR 2. Starts VAC, loads profile and activates VAC. 3. Starts Teamspeak Server and Client and connects with password. 4. Starts DCS Multiplayer By pressing hotkeys "windows and space" Notes. - Download AUTOHOTKEY(small download) FREE SOFTWARE. There is an editor to download on the site as well, but notepad can be used. The file must be individualised for your PC (interesting if you like messing about and lots of you do); Your start directories will be different. Also the script uses sent"mouse clicks" to icons on the screen which can be ascertained for your use by using "window spy" which comes with AUTOHOTKEY. When you are happy with your script you can put it in "Start Up". More Notes - I have icons on my Taskbar to click for Multiplayer and Teamspeak server as I found I could not activate them from their directories. The Teamspeak client always opens at the same place so the mouse click presses the "connect" button every time. The "sleep"command times are important otherwise other processes hijack the task being done. 1 second = 1000. Its been an enjoyable learning experience and I wouldnt be without the scripts now. Can be modified for self play easily as DCS main starts from"DCS updater.exe" Thanks to the guys on the forums (cub pilot and others) and Gerry Abbots videos without whom I wouldnt have known about VAC and the rest. Thank you very much cub pilot. Gerry abbott's video started me off in VAC and now autohotkey. Scavenging through all you guys work has been interesting and benefits my flysim hugely! Question please.- have ahk script to start TIR and VAC and load profile from A10c, but unclear how to switch VAC on. Your example is a bat. file. and seems to work differently. Ps- have added a little beep via - soundbeep when joy key is activated /deactivated for VAC. All works very nicely from startup otherwise. Pretty new to this but keen to learn.
