  1. Wow, so people actually BUY that corproate merchandise?
  2. No, I just googled it - I take it it contradicts me though :D
  3. As far as representative data goes.. there are none for any missile outside its classified testing data, thankfully there havent been enough missiles fired in history for even the most giddy statistician to calculate a sensible ratio.
  4. Dont bother with the extractor? Unzip the file, copy the mission files to your .../lockon/missions/Su25t folder, or campaign to .../missions/campaigns.
  5. Good missions Weta, especially the US landing one, its got a great dynamic campaign feel to it.
  6. Is this compatible with 1.11 please gentlemen?
  7. Sorry, I meant gametimout AND idletimeout, not the other one
  8. No, mines crap. Make sure you edit your config.lua (lockon/config/network/config.lua) to idletimout=600 gametimeout=600 The default values can make you ping out while you are loading large missions. edited to remove stoopidity
  9. I have 3 mission packs/campaigns, by Zoomoboy http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=109#cat http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=89#cat
  10. Sorry Esso! You have to look for that black sparkly effect from a distance, if you know what I mean :) Most/all targets were moving on 2 of the 3 maps. The other one was a bit tougher I thought, I think the AAA was hidden sometimes
  11. A white square where?
  12. There was some confusion on one of the maps...I dont know why, perhaps the breifings were too vague or maybe one was missing, I found targets ok. Basically go to your furthest waypoint and spot targets, Targets being anything further than that waypoint. I believe it was intended to make you search for them. The waypoints were good enough to find the targets I think because I didnt get lost, or hit freindlies and I ride fighters :P If you are used to having target diamonds around your targets, or labels on then you will have struggled.
  13. That is no measure of pK. Pilots would be firing more than one.
  14. Theer are rocket launchers, are there not? MLRS...Grad, Smerch, or are these different?
  15. Ah ok, good point. There is one thing - If an f15 launches a -7 at me I rarely dodge it without shooting him first - because I dont have the RWR active missile countdown cue to turn thru the missile. But that shouldnt matter against AI.
  16. For spectacular effects try 6 RBK-500s dropped in succession
  17. Who is to say that the AIM-7 should'nt have higher PK when fired than an AIM-120 *when fired by the AI*, consider:- 1. Its got a larger warhead 2. Its shot from closer range by the AI How about a test where you (personally) shoot at an unarmed fighter from (a) max range under constant alt and speed conditions; (b) a set range inside AIM-7 Rmax?
  18. Yes, and V expensive
  19. EDIT Actually it does work. Make sure you connect as anonymous, not registered.
  20. Firstly avoid getting launched at - Kill them before they kill you, your maverics have much greater range. You need to be constantly scanning the area you can see for AA. Spot a strela, lock it up, throttle back to lower IR sig, shoot and leave low. If a strela launches a missile at you, pull the throttle back to idle and pump out flares, forget chaff. The thing to consider is if to turn away or not, if you are too close it will still hit you and you will give it a hotter target as you will be low aspect.
  21. Yeah I got ace 5 its laughable as a 'flight sim' but its fun. Looks a lot like that series, but not 5.
  22. You can export the number of objects currently around, EG: 1 Players, 222 Objects, Map Time 48 / 120 minutes, 1 Aircraft, 0 Helicopters, 0 Chaff/Flares, 0 Moving, 0 Standing, 171 Tanks, 49 SAMs, 1 Ships, 0 Missiles, 0 Bombs, 0 Shells, 0 Rockets, 0 Aerodromes
  23. Older jets lik the f4 have pulse radars which lose targets when they dive due to 'ground clutter', ie objects and terrain. Newer Pulse Dopplar radars filter out ground clutter by removing everything which is not moving toward or away from the radar (taking into account planes own movement forwards). Thus if a bandit flies at right angles to you (on the 'beam' the 9oclock-3oclock line through his plane) he is filtered out ESPECIALLY if he is lower than you. Som,etimes you lose lock when he does not beam, but is lower. This does not mean you should stay low always, it is better to shoot from high in the first place.
