  1. You could change it in the ME but it might completely stuff the mission, depending on coalitions used for the enemy. Possibly also you would have to declassify and re-set targets & goals for your flight, and targetting for enemy flights on you. This would also mean unhiding the hidden units.

  3. I second those requests! Definately the waypoint thing - you can write the best most detailed breif to get around the problem but in the end if someone does not speak the language(s) then they will have no idea what will be happening. The problem with the military buildings is there is a bug with statics in MP games. If you add eg a command centre, you can drop a KAB on it as a client and it will not die. I did this once online and I actually saved the mission on exit, then tried again offline and it exploded fine. Also I have been in a multiplayer 'race' around some tv towers, and in the first go I clipped the first one and destroyed it - but it did not appear as destroyed to anyone else. I would also like to see the points for ships toned down a little, IIRC you get 500 each for one of those and its a bit much (for those who care about their score).
  4. Welcome to lockon! Nice to see new faces Drougue chute always deploys for me :S Vikhr is a guaranteed hit from max range, you can kill M-60s in one hit and lepards etc in 2, but not always. There is nothing in the sim itself that drags your nosewheel to the left, other than wind, damage, input, dodgy setup. Regarding Su25/Su25T - the rockets and bombing modes are not useless - practice. You dont even have to hit a target full on to kill it with a S25. There is symbology for the su25 Aiming glass when bombing, have you done the training things? -oh a lot of the aircraft you wish to fly against will never be seen in lockon, since it is based roughly around the 80s/90s

  6. The EM is faster in the actual game too. The missiles' (ER & EM) motors burn for the same length of time but the EM accelerates to a higher max speed, therefore EM is closer to the target with more energy when the motor burns out, which is an advantage. Also it hits the target sooner which is obviously an advantage especially with SAR.
  7. Tornado pilots are now actually flying underground through subways and sewers in order to stay edgy. :tongue:
  8. Cool idea - I have scraps of paper lying around with bits of info on ground unit bombardment ranges & possible AI loadouts etc - it would be a great help for people to have a guide for mission building.
  9. LOMAC's graphics + FM + weapon modelling + choice of flyables + multiplayer stability (or better) AF's dynamic campaign (or better) + avionics detail = Heaven :icon_jook
  10. I have 4 flight hours in Pacific fighters. I have taken off from a carrier, flew under a bridge twice, bombed it and landed at a land base. Felt arcady. Given that you are a flanker/mig/frogfoot/a10/eagle pilot (delete as applicable) please state how the flight models should be changed to reflect what you have experienced in real life. (note that demands for gyro torque opposite prop spin will be laughed at).
  11. Spot on Cosmonaut. It can be added or not to create different environments to fly in - especially now you can use terrain masking etc to hide from it. I think a lot of the issues stem from peoples obsession with the scoreboard - FORGET the scoreboard if you think your plane is undermodelled (which you will because everyone does) and have a good time and work on teamwork and tactics and be sporting.
  12. People use the kh29 missile because it does not require you to overfly the target area, but also I believe the bomb gets overlooked. Personally I like to use both depending on situation. If you want to hit a hard target (or 2!) that is swamped by short range AA then climb over 4000m and use the bomb. Also the bomb cannot be shot down by aa defences and the missile easily can. @prophet - all the kh29s and KABs are suitable for bunkers - the difference between the two KABs is not really modelled in LO.

  14. Turn off/down your antialiasing. Also its a knack if you are looking around you for them and glancing back at your instruments - you will develop a sense of where they will likely be and you will spot them around that area. Its experience I suppose.

I was really sceptical about this issue at first - as after the patch it became harder to hit with SAR missiles also (harder to maintain lock in look down anyway); but after having 2 R 77 low aspect NEZ shots trashed by chaff while they were still burning (once online, one offline) I am patiently awaiting the next patch :)
  16. The what? :D You can trim your 25t to straight and level by using alt-3 (level flight autopilot mode). Let it settle down then disengage with alt-9.

  20. This is a great opportunity for people to learn from some of the most amazing LO aero pilots.
  21. It would be better to provide a manual section covering this, so people could know how to connect based on their settings/server settings.
