  1. Sometimes your config.lua gets screwed up when exiting a multiplayer session, resulting in the generation of a shorter file with half the info (this is based on observations with 1.11) If pingperiod = 1 is missing then maybe that is what is wrong - are there other omissions; eg the servers you have visited? If so then it may be worth using someone elses config file (havent got it installed atm so I cant directly help you there).
  2. What you are seeing is radar altitude. This is measured by emitters/recievers on the planes wings which point straight down hence rolling from level flight produces error. Above 3km the barometric alt takes over as you are too high to get a radar alt measuremnt. In russian planes if radar alt is on you see 'p' next to the numeral in the HUD, IDK about eagles, but I think there is a digital readout of baro alt in there somewhere - if not use the steam gague. With russian RWR you also see a similar thing when you bank the threat seems to circle around you a bit - this is also due to the locations of the recivers on the plane. I use rudder a lot to turn into a threat or to beam since you can keep a lower bank angle and dont turn too far/little (or use heading calculations).
  3. Tactical Situation Display?: http://www.hazegray.org/faq/acr7.htm
  4. The numbers Ice quoted above do not show that the MiG is more efficient. What we need is this kind of stat: F-15C 893 : 1101 MiG-29S From the 504 stats. http://www.syn-ack.com/vvs504/stats/vvs504-aircraft.shtml HOWEVER, we need it from a server which does not operate EWR on missions, as this is where a lot of the difference could be. Secondly the server is often used by great hordes of 504th FW flying on th sam side with TS on against assorted casual players, solo aces and squad fragments Proof? -> Su-33 842 : 860 F-15C Su-27 740 : 675 F-15C (figures show kills, not ratios) So if you could organise your stats like that on 169th/77th then we could have a more accurate measure. This is still flawed as it is open to skew from more of one airframe being flown.
  5. Im not surprised your wingman complains a lot having seen you fly lead inverted with AB in the 1st pic! :D
  6. Im not sure what you are getting at here - you can bomb from level flight using CCRP, and you can dive toss using lots of thrust CCRP (which I have been playing with lately).
  7. Looks really comfortable to use! Would struggle to obtain 4 boxes of ammo for ballast in britain though ;)
  8. :D You forgot - Exit game to plug rudder pedals back in from when someone needed another USB socket and didnt bother plugging them in again.
  9. I dont get that. Its nice to have the seperate stats anyway (if u like stats :P) but are MiGs that overpowered? I mean thinking of fuel load/payload/radar strength and close combat turning & tws multi targetting? Swings and roundabout
  10. Real nice man :) Ive had elegance2 on for about 7 months :P Im glad you are doing the wallpaper thing again!
  11. Probably not. It would be the same as breaking lock for a moment on any SAR missile - which is not an issue in BVR fights but in hard turning fights that instant will mean the missile stopping tracking and overshooting the target and not manouvering at a critical point. You could try it out though and let us know :)
  12. It means at starting speeds of 695 and above, acceleration will not occur in a dive while the brakes are deployed. So if you were to fly level at 700km/h (or 900km/h even) and then dive with brakes out, you would not accelerate. There will be a minimum speed at which this will occur and all the book does is indicate that it is below 700km/h - probably not that far below
  13. EOS/Radar logic needs updating so you can prevent radar coming on if heat signature is faded (if you want).
  14. Hajduk I would go with SK on this one - I think its maybe a way of phrasing things in english which has you confused. For example an advert: 'xxxx car avaliable for less than £5000'.... When you look, its available for £4998 Or maybe: 'Less than one gram of fat!' - it has 1.9g, on average. You see? Perhaps more clear would be 'Works at speeds lower even than 700km/h' - Stops dive acceleration down to about 695km/h :D
  15. Some of the LO German MiG29A lights and switches are in english. In particular the light-up warning panel (i know it has a name but it escapes me :)) and the lower front pit switches and dials. S!
  16. Logitech FFB sticks make trim not work for some reason :( you CAN trim if you respawn your A/C I found I had the same problem
  17. I prefer ERs instead of ETs for the long range/hi alt/hoj goodness, and to catch people off guard....but yeah you often miss those 73's and their off-boresight goodness when you dont bring them :). Was thinking of using maybe 1 73, 1 ET, 1ER, 3 77s, but i'd get shot to hell cycling through them :D
  18. Ive made it down with both wings clipped & on fire in a flanker, after an engagement in which I went a little too close to a mountain peak :D. You can fly quite well until you start to slow down. The funny thing was I made it down without being able to lower gear, ground to a halt in a shower of sparks, and some guy says 'woah no gear landing.....woah no wings either !'
  19. Touch town at around 300km/h and your ok since your nosewheel will slow you once you are down. If you are having trouble and running out of RW, use rudder to swerve around - that slows you down a lot and makes it a longer journey ;).
  20. O yeah it dosent say for the 33.... but it does for the other 12 pylon flankers and they have 2 max it would seem. The adder thing makes it look dubious but these guys MAKE the plane. I would say it was THE definitive source of information - not to be thrown away :p
