  2. Agreed. I really appreciate Fudds RL experience and input, but I think it is very odd to actually stop it from happening because it isnt done, not because it cannot be done. This is good info for the mission builders though!
  3. Ok, especially since I dont understand howw it works yet...but ill have a poke about with it. Pilotasso - maybe you should change back to avoid problems with the payload fixes until the updated mod is around?

  5. Does 1.12 mean that Shepski's mod will not work (or will undo changes in the patch)? I am led to believe that the patch alters the meinit, but not to include the realistic payloads. Again :)

  7. Will try and encourage people to join to make sides even, (although stat whores will probably all join whoever has most players :)). This has been a problem since the server went up. It is impossible to have 'red' vs 'blue' planes since one side generally has 90% of the players on it depending on the time of day. We have 1/2 the missions now designed with all planes on each side, and all missions now have at least migs on the same side as the eagles so please people play sensibly and even out the sides. This extends to checking the type of planes people are flying - if there are 4 hogs on one side and two flankers on the other - join the hogs :). A small success story related to this - there are some missions where a side with 30% fighters has completely shut down a side with 80% fighters. This is related to SEAD and EWR strikes but also these same missions are generally bomber friendly having the targets nearer to the strike homeplate than to the enemy - the key is to make sure you read the breif and map, I have employed the above tactic very far from home - know where your freindly SAMS are :D (ships are best) You can take out greedy fighters easily like that! (& its fun)

  11. It wont affect your score or your stats if you crash into the ground/get shot down by a sam/gain a loss from exiting mission. Of course, if you want to get full points on the scoreboard for destroying something, you have to land!
  12. Seriously, you cannot tell between 200 and 40 ping in Lockon.
  13. It takes me ages to load a game on the 504 server, or any server with ground targets. This is because I have lower RAM than most ppl. Also, if I run a mission from the server on my own rig for testing it takes ages too. Some of the missions have lots of waypoints for all the seperate client planes in addition to the ground stuff. I guess the difference for other people from a SP game is that it must load all the current states of the units (location and dead/alive) maybe. Dosent bother me now im used to it.

  15. There is a bug in 1.11 with certain day numbers. Crash/hangs on days 8 & 9 (and others) Perhaps it's that.

  18. Often when you get hit in the frontal hemisphere without exploding and cannot eject, I guess your pilot is dead in the pit. That was introduced in the 1.1 patch and I think its pretty good to stop that post-hit spamming.
