  1. Bent pins can also be straightened with a mechanical pencil, if the pin diameter is small enough. You can slip the tube of the pencil over the pin and then pull it up straight. WC
  2. For a restart after a mission is complete, I do that in the mission's event logic. WC
  3. I run Slmod on Hollo Pointe. Admins can restart a mission from text chat with '-admin restart'. Or load with -admin load... For an 'auto' restart, do you mean restart from Pause when someone Joins, or restart after the mission is complete? I have not used Servman. WC
  4. Continued crashing on this mission after upgrading to v1.2.16. See attached file with logs and miz. WC
  5. I was thinking that if an A-10C was heading towards the JTAC that was firing their laser, would the A-10C pick up the laser designator itself? This could be quite dangerous for the JTAC, if you know what I mean. WC
  6. You also need to be on the general heading of the laser, too. WC
  7. CA is lots of fun. Most missions on the Hollo Pointe server include CA slots, and can make a huge difference in the outcome. WC
  8. I'm upgrading to v1.2.16, and will drop a note in here if these crashes stop with the update. WC
  9. Very glad to hear you got it! What I meant by the Server Options is the connection speed. I think my server is set to LAN, and my Client is ASDL 2048 (? -- the higher one, whatever the number is). WC
  10. Well, for all the years I've been using the scheme, I still have a printed copy on my desk. But looking at any group flag, like 12301, I can see right away that it is for a Red aircraft, group #23, a flag for the entire group, and the group is Dead. Folks, Look at the events in the example mission and note how the group name is in the event title. I usually will arrange like events together. An advantage is that the first event of a certain type can be made, and then cloned for the other groups that need a similar event, while there is just a couple of things to change in the cloned event. It works this way with scripts, too. This organization is soo helpful when troubleshooting, and goes to the OP about 'folders' IMO. WC
  11. Here is another mission and logs after a crash. This mission crashed twice last night after a few hours of play each time. WC
  12. ... This flag scheme will give you an idea for setting up flags in your missions that directly correspond to the group/unit. Missions should have structure! Take a few minutes to name the groups. Save the mission, advance the version number, and name the rest. Here is two-digit group numbering example for the group naming and flags. WC
  13. The attached file has the crash logs and miz file from an F-15C mission that consistently crashes, although at different times into the mission but within 10 hours of initially starting it -- note: this mission will auto-reload after 2 1/2 hours. There is no LUA or Mist in the mission events. It uses regular events, very few only 10. It is an old mission from many versions ago, and saved under the current v1.2.15. WC
  14. See Post #14. WC
  15. The Trim Hat is assigned to cockpit views by default, for folks who do not have a TrackIR type device. Glad to hear you got it sorted. WC
  16. Make sure the Trim Hat is not double-assigned in the A-10C Sim Options. Particularly, see if the default Views are still mapped. WC
  17. I'm running low on suggestions :) Make sure the Private checkbox for the server is unchecked... Check the Server Options, too... WC
  18. This is BOTH the TCP & UDP ports? WC
  19. WildBill -- You might want to check out the HOGS series of books by Jim DeFelice. Great stuff! Google this: jim de felice + HOGS WC
  20. Try that and see what people say! GEEEZ they get all twisted up about it, too. "Where's my TGP, whaaaaaaa! WHO puts up an A-10 mission w/o TGPs?" :joystick:
  21. Check the computer's time setting. Make sure it is current. WC
  22. Something I like to mention, when it comes to working the gun -- Get the weapons weight off of the airplane so it will respond to your controls. IMHO, there is no reason to be up close in gun range when there are Mavs or bombs on the wings. WC
  23. Here here! Beers for all
  24. I would rather have the others in my a/c pay for the access. The free planes invite fly-by-nights into the free servers and it is often these folks who abuse the cooperative nature of this sim. WC
  25. I used to be in the 10-60 group. WC
