Hi All, I'm currently trying to set up a dedicated server; I've got a DS instance running, set up port forwarding on my router and can see my DS instance in the list of available servers in the multiplayer window. Howver, whenever I try and connect to my dedicated server via DCS client thats running on the same machine as my DS by connecting directly to the external IP (and replacing the default 127.0.0.1:port) I get an 'Address Unavailable' error. I'm simply trying to test the external connectivity Interestingly enough, when I try to connect via selecting my DS via the list of available servers, my machines MAC address is auto-populated. Does anyone know if you can't connect to your locally running DS by means of your external IP? Thanks

Hi Guys, So, I've been spending the night with Mighty Wings being piped through my Rift's headphones whilst I engage some F5s over Nevada only to realise during the mission replays that I'm rocking the wings a crazy amount to counter the wing rock that's educed from high AoA manoeuvres. Is this something that can be 'fixed' by simply backing off of the controls (ie not pulling on the stick so hard) when engaged in BFM/ACM or do I need to turn off SAS etc? Cheers

I don't think its a case of any one particular item/switch label; its a combination of most, if not all, of them. For example, the letter 'O' in some labels are so weathered that the hole in the middle isn't differentiated from the outline of the letter (ie you can't make out the hole in the middle of the O). Whilst things like this may look great in texture rendering, in practical terms ones the camera has zoomed out to where the pilots head isn normally positioned, its illegible (due to relatively low pixel rendering densities; in 2D 4K or VR).

Ha I had the same experience. Glad it’s not just me

100% agree with this

Yea, I agree. I've been flying mainly in VR and I can't really tell what my airspeed is without physically moving my head closer to the virtual gauge. I'm using PD1.6 but in the F5, its the airspeed indicator is perfectly readable. Not entirely sure its HB's fault though, may be down to the lack of airspeed in the HUD and a crappy design by Grumman..

A little bit, mostly in Sletchup though which I understand isn’t the best tool out there. What are you struggling with if you don’t mind me asking?

Awesome. Thanks for the advice all! Are there any benifuta of picking up the Vive V2 base station vs the V1?

I'm going to install this later when I get home but do I need to copy over the materials.lua file as well as the MDG_strokesDefs.lua? Also, what will happen if I don't remove/revert to the old fiels before updating? Will the update fail the validation check? Thanks

Hi All, I've recently had the opportunity to buy a Pimax 5K+ from a friend of mine who received his backer unit about a week or so ago. Long story short, he doesn't have a machine capable of running the Pimax (GTX 1060) and so is graciously selling me his unit. I've zero experience with the HTC Vive (currently own a Rift) but understand that the Pimax currently only uses the Vive base stations to track head movement etc. Question is, what else apart from a base station (which current go for around £180 on Amazon UK) do I need to get up and running? Does the Pimax come with a power cable of some kind or do I need to get one of those as well? Thanks

Please please please release the files! I don't own a 3D printer but am in current contact with a perspex laser cutting company here in London who are doing some work for me and I think the combination of laser cutting and raster engraving (laser etching) would be awesome :)

Looks awesome. Please make available when complete? Would be willing to make a small donation for your effort! :) -

Hi All, I’ve just bought two 4P3W rotary switch’s to use in my F18 cockpit project and I thought I knew how to wire them but now that the time has come to actually solder, it turns out I don’t. I plan on using them for the DDI’s Off-Night-Day switches which is why I bought the three way version. Anyone have any idea on how to wire them to a Leo Bodnar board? Are they just like regular switches? From the attached image, is ground the red wire?

Hi All, Does anyone know where/how to find a simply (possibly 3D printer) landing gear lever that I can mount to an on-on toggle switch? I've tried Shapeways but so far have had no luck Cheers

Dburne, are you using the shader mod?

I've been reading some posts recently about deleting the FXO and metashaders after updating. I've just (re)-installed the shader VR mod after updating but am wondering if I should also delete the above folders as either for good measure or good practise. Thoughts?

Awesome, I'd be really interested in their aluminium kits. I held off on the current gen as I didn't think the plastic stuff they're currently using would last the test of time. The cockpit buttons & switches is a nice touch also!

Thanks for the follow up chaser!! That’s some positive news at least, tying it to the F18 prod/non-EA release maybe?

Awesome :)

I don’t mean for this to come off as a rant but I also don’t care if it does. The TM F18 stick first appeared in 2017. We’ve been shown videos of it in use at demos, consumer events and even air shows; heck Waggs has even been using it for a while (based upon the timeline of photos). It was mentioned that it will be released in late 2018 but 2019 has arrived and there’s absolutely no mention of it. Not even a ‘expects to ship in Q1 etc’ teaser. Why show us something so early that has failed to be delivered (for whatever reason); have TM learnt nothing from Apple’s AirMat mess?

Awesome! :)

After looking at ralfidude's video and comparing it to videos we've seen in the past month or so from HB themselves, there's no wingflex. It was clearly visible in HB's on videos but not ralifidue's? :(

Hi All, As per the description, let me know if you've got either (or both) and wish to part with them Cheers
