  1. What checklist are you using?
  2. Wow - thanks for the Tacview, I love sifting through these for both educational and entertainment purposes. And congrats on your server!
  3. Or, try this out: http://simans.net/marble/ It's currently unsupported, and it may not work well in a 64-bit OS, much less any OS after XP.
  4. There are two frequency fields - MHz an KHz. The MHz field is controlled by left-clicking and dragging (or mouse scrolling) on the left knob. Right-clicking on this knob cycles the power to the radio. The KHz field is controlled only by mouse scrolling on the right knob. Left and right-clicking will adjust the volume. You don't need a $70 gaming mouse, a simple cheapo mouse with scroll wheel will do.
  5. Perfectly illustrated, Nate!
  6. The HUD image isn't "on" the glass. The HUD projector is focused (collimited) at infinity - nothing "scales".
  7. No offense, but I'll take PeterP's word over yours on this issue.
  8. In general, the type describes a level of accuracy/authority. Type 3 being a situation where the JTAC does not necessarily have a visual on either the target (or even the target area) or the CAS aircraft - basically, "go there and kill stuff as you see fit." Type 1 being a situation where the JTAC has visual on the target and CAS aircraft and pretty much directs the attack. As with any answer I provide, a better one will soon be provided by someone else - hang tight!
  9. PeterP mentions an issue with the HUD in post #4 above: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1437591&postcount=4
  10. Bah! I have a protoanomaly (red deficiency) in my left eye and a tritanomaly (blue deficiency) in my right eye, so anaglyph 3D just gives me a headache.
  11. Someone forgot to pack their checklists!

  13. You can always count on me to keep it classy.
  14. Clearly, I would defer to Eddie here!
  15. I had a go at a few of them: According to the 25th VFS brevity guide, JOKER is a "...fuel state above BINGO at which separation/bugout/event termination should begin." Again, according to the 25th VFS brevity guide, PUSH is a radio instruction: "Switch to designated frequency; no acknowledgment required" - not sure how this is meant to be employed in the context of the data card (it's a time hack), or if there is another meaning. Other forces involved in the current operation e.g. ground forces? Aircraft emergency frequency I assume the coords of your BULLSEYE Minimum safe altitude for the current operation, with regards to expected anti-air threat or other arbitrary factors Rainmaker's Weather conditions Weather conditions at target area Fighter to FAC? I'd guess this is your callsign, etc Delivery type (pop-up attack, toss-bombing, etc) That's a range of headings from which you may safely engage. In this example, from 320 through 0 to 190, which excludes headings from 191 to 319:
  16. You've been consuming them?
  17. DrD - Yes, the TMHWH is a plug-and-play device, as far as DCS A-10C is concerned. No set-up/assignment is necessary other than as described above. Enjoy!
  18. One from each of the groups of four, hickory. Each group of four is the same file, available from different sources. Look at the file names closely and it should be clear.
  19. Does [numpad ENTER] not fix this for you?
  20. Welcome, Charly! TrackIR is considered by many to be essential kit for flight simming, a conclusion you appear to have arrived at naturally. Yes, TIR5 with the Proclip is the ideal setup, but many folks still use older iterations with no problems. There are also a couple of free solutions, like Freetrack or FaceTrackNoir. I have no experience with either, but perhaps someone else here has something to add on that. Happy flying!
  21. Release altitude has no effect on bomblet spread. You need to adjust your HOF and RPM values accordingly. Check out Fish's nice tutorial here:
  22. Someone posted a Tacview track a while ago for some reason or other - I remember watching it for the intended reason, but then noticing some other action going on in the background. There were 3-4 completely unrelated dramas going on that were simply fascinating to see unfold in parallel. Is there a community Tacview archive somewhere? I'd never watch TV again!
  23. The great thing about it is that once you have it installed and configured (which is very easy), you never need to fuss with it again. Tracks are recorded/stored automagically.
  24. Yup.
