  1. VISA is not a credit card in Norway? Here it is.
  2. Greed? How about you pay them the 30% that Steam will take from them? It sounds more like a good business decision to me, unless Steam generates far more sales its just not worth it to them. They are entitled to make a nice profit and not the few pennies that you think they should get so they aren't, according to you, "greedy"
  3. Same here but I didn't do it to keep Steam overhead off my PC I did it to support the BEST military flight sim platform on the planet.
  4. Don't buy on Steam and you will be. Thats a BIG chunk to take from a small niche market developer. How much is it then?????
  5. I think you should look at this from ED's point of view. Do they want to give away 30% to Steam or keep it for future projects? I think they should charge you more for using Steam, like 30% more. DCS is the BEST and they deserve to be paid fully for their work. IMO
  6. Thats because it was priced incorrectly at 24.00 bucks . lol They delayed the preorder twice and still screwed it up. Which is why ED would like to ditch them.
  7. There is literally no difference to starting a DCS module on Steam than it is to start it stand alone. You click on an Icon and, Poof like magic, it starts no matter what platform it is installed on. Support ED buy direct from them or their partners.
  8. Did the same and never regretted it for a second.
  9. I haven't decided anything for you but I think I've given a pretty good reason why not to purchase ED modules from Steam. Your decision is of course yours, even if it does hurt ED. It's also a little hypocritical that you don' think ED has a say on where you purchase but think its ok to tell ED where and how to sell their product.
  10. Well, I suspect Steam has some say in it. And now Stop buying on Steam,Please! It offers nothing other than making ED less profitable which isn't good for them or us.
  11. Sounds like this is your first rodeo and stop giving ED and DCS's hard earned profits to Steam. Support ED and buy direct from their site
  12. Then you should know modules are almost always released a little bit later on Steam. Also, stop buying modules on Steam and support ED/DCS by buying from them directly, so they get that 30% Steam takes, which can only be good for all, except Steam. Happy flying.
  13. That was only the FIRST delay. Its arriving will be the surprise.
  14. I believe they have said approx 2 months maybe less. I for one will use that time to determine the best time to work the purchase into my budget and get a nice discount to boot. Will I buy on the 15th , probably not unles the tooth fairy puts a lot of money under my pillow.
  15. Always
  16. LOL yes do not be close to the ground when switching back. Its not too bad as long as you don't move the controls but be ready when you finally have to move them has it can be quite the ride.
  17. Flight model
  18. I don't mind the "pre-order" stuff because they generally come with a nice discount and I'll be buying it regardless. With that said I literally laugh every time I see that the "Pre Order" was delayed, the absurdity of it is hilarious. Oh well back to waiting ....and laughing.
  19. Wait! a "Pre-order" got delayed for a, better preorder presentation ? lol Just stick your YouTube Video anouncing the, Preorder, trailer to it and say "COME AND GET IT!!!...... and they will come.
  20. Sorry to hear that. "There are more than one selling these rudder pedals" That’s an understatement! There are tons of them on Ebay. I did look for a shipper in the US to avoid large shipping fee from China and my seller was prompt and shipped early, I might have gotten lucky. I was a little worried when I saw his store was name something like junk autos <-that's not the real name but it was something equally worrisome. Well let us know what you think once you get some time in on them. Good luck
  21. I think all those other things are backups for the FCR radar. But the FCR is the Holy Grail. ")
  22. This is the big reason I don't use Steam anymore for DCS. I'd rather ED get that 30% so they can keep doing what they do.
  23. Two Years
  24. You seem really worried about mapping stuff. Let it goooo Map them as you learn and use the mouse to click that cockpit switches. I don't even have my WH stick buttons filled up as I use the mouse mostly to click stuff in the cockpit. The stick buttons are mostly for weapons use in my setup.
  25. The warthog has as strong spring in it and it can make it hard to fly helo's. You can remove the spring and you will be able to fly much better but you will have to hold the stick at all times, but it will let you experience actually controlling the 64D and its quite fun!. Search YouTube for TM HOTAS MOD You can also get what is called a green spring that is lighter and may work for you or you can do what I did and buy a virpil Base for my WH stick and that was PERFECT! An extention may also help but I have no experence with that or how well they work.. Don't try to map everything, use the mouse and click the switches in the cockpit and only map the most important to your buttons. I always map them as I learn and find I remember them better that way. Having to memorize someone elses setup is too hard for me besides you don't have enough buttons anyway. However there are some lay outs for TM HOTAS around here someplace, lots in the file section. Do you have pedals ?
