  1. Seems like ED forgot that if you have the BS2 upgrade you already proved you had BS1.
  2. I'm having issues just activating it at all. Do you have to FTR first? But even that doesn't always work either. Both ALT hold and ATT hold do this but its vary hit or miss if it engages or not. It made me wonder if I needed to do something else now to activate the hold modes?
  3. As much as I love the F4 from my childhood I think I'd wait for the f-15E naaaaaaaaaaaahhhh I'd get both.
  4. Oh I know but I still can't stay in a VR headset for too long and its also not as "clear" as my three screens set up so for serious missions I'll go with my surround system and keyboard (if needed) I also have most important stuff mapped to my devices. I respect your right to play and love VR but with my headset, it's not the time for me. What headset do you have by the way?
  5. Call me a weird-o then, while I like flying around sometimes in VR for serious missions I need the keyboard so no VR. VR for me is a just a"every now and then" thing. Now if ED could put a virtual keyboard in VR then maybe I'd stay in VR more.
  6. Well that was easy Thanks for the clarification.
  7. Thats a start! now do it over and over and over again until you get a soft landing :)All I've done for a month or more is take off and land I also invested in new gear. I had/have a warthog and found it very hard to fly the 64d until I 1. took the spring out of my TM pedals 2. And bought a new virpil base for my warthog stick. Or you can mod your warthog stick and take the spring out of it, It really really makes a big difference. I found that removing the spring from the WH was a little loose but worked great otherwise. So I bought the virpil. Good luck
  8. I'd also like to see a "special option" to not trim pedals. My Pedal stay where I put them and I don't need to trim them. That "Soft Trim' does sound interesting
  9. The pedals are at a normal distance. They are single axis and can't be 12 inches a part. If I place my feet straight down they will rest comfortably on the foot posts. I actually went with this type because they were basically close togeather and I was worried about other types fitting in the space on the floor that I have.
  10. the dampener actually came is a separate box like it was from a third party, other than that he had no identifiable writing on it. I'll double check when I get home but from memory it had nothing on it.
  11. The thing is rock solid and the metal would have to be really really bad not to hold up. I'm really glad I got the one with the dampner as it allows a wide range of "Feel" for the user, both with or without the spring attached.
  12. If anyone is interested I got these Tuesday and have been playing with it since. I'm quite impressed and don't understand why I am apparently the only person in the world that has ever bought a set of these. Solid all-metal construction. With one slight minor concern about the footrest, that being they are only held on by a short steel screw, IMO it should have been a steel rod that ran through the foot rest and bolted on, so there wasn't so much pressure on the screw, time will tell. Adjustable feel You can have a hard center with the spring attached or take the spring off and you have no center but use the "dampener" to adjust your feel with no cam in effect. I find it amazingly adjustable this way, with or without the spring the dampener really allows you to dial in the feel you like. You could also install a lighter spring if you like, but there is none supplied. I came from a set of TM pedals and while I got fairly good with them it was when I looked at the output that you could really see the difference. The TM pedal was full of noise but the Falcon s1 was steady as a rock and smooth as silk moving through the axis. You can also adjust how far down the pedal goes but I found the default position the best. There is also no software needed just plug and play and no instructions on putting it together, it's a little more complicated than the VKB's. So solid construction Adjustable feel No third-party software No instructions Probably would have been in Chinese anyway. I'm happy with it!. Any questions let me know.
  13. lol
  14. Then don't buy Early Access products the flight model is a WIP.
  15. for that matter I don't know if you can get parts for it today. I rarely consider a warranty when buying something like this.
  16. I was interested in Virpil, since I have their base, but they seem back ordered, VKB had large shipping and I"m cheap and impatient . I also like living on the edge. So I pulled the trigger on it, it's from Ebay so no worries, it's returnable. I'll let you know how it goes. So......So far they shipped it in a few hours and it will get here a week earlier than estimated. So, so far so good. I also want to be the first on the internet to write a review on it.
  17. There are a ton of sellers on ebay but like I said you can't find a single review online anywhere, I find that odd. They look solid, all metal, with damping and well priced if you can get them shipped from the USA. I just want to know at least one persons personal experence with them. Thanks for the response.
  18. Anyone have any experence with these pedals the "flight1 sim rudder pedal falcon S1 "? I see them all over but can't find a single review of them.
  19. lol You're on.
  20. yeah it seems like mine has a dead zone where even in a hover it says I'm gong Zero when it is clearly floating all over. It used to hover within the box you can put down in HB mode but now it floats all over. Oh well I wait for next patch
  21. Its probably also full of debug code. But its EA so they will get better.
  22. Also make sure you have good controllers like good rudder pedals and good stick. when I started with the 64d I couldn't fly it a lick but I removed my pedals and warthog springs and it was night and day. I ended up buying a new Virpil base for my warthog grip and I'm looking for rudder pedals to replace my Thrustmaster pedals , but they will do for now. You don't need these to get started but you may want to start looking into removing springs it really really makes a difference.
