The warthog has as strong spring in it and it can make it hard to fly helo's. You can remove the spring and you will be able to fly much better but you will have to hold the stick at all times, but it will let you experience actually controlling the 64D and its quite fun!. Search YouTube for TM HOTAS MOD You can also get what is called a green spring that is lighter and may work for you or you can do what I did and buy a virpil Base for my WH stick and that was PERFECT! An extention may also help but I have no experence with that or how well they work.. Don't try to map everything, use the mouse and click the switches in the cockpit and only map the most important to your buttons. I always map them as I learn and find I remember them better that way. Having to memorize someone elses setup is too hard for me besides you don't have enough buttons anyway. However there are some lay outs for TM HOTAS around here someplace, lots in the file section. Do you have pedals ?

Thanks! it was my first

Fixed it for you.

No Force feedback it does have to do with trimming but it can still be tricky and even then the heli will drift all over still.
-
Exactly when I saw this sloppy low speed handling begin and its been that way ever since. Also the ATT is hard to activate now and takes multibly attemps before it takes and turns on. Oh well they'll fix it someday. Until then I fly manually
-
Nope not you. The whole thing seems to get "sloppy" when you get too slow, like when landing, taking off or trying to hover the helo drifts all over the place.

That's way too early

Two weeks

Well where is it then? sad face encaged.

Dude its an internet forum not creative writing class.

I didn't mean it was a in the "stable" version I meant DCS modules in general as a group/stable.
-
Well worth the 10 bucks I paid for it and one of the best choppers in the DCS stable. IMO it handles the best of all their choppers. I really like it but the ah64 is my fav because I'm American and I'm bias
-
But 3rd party devs are partners with ED so why would they care if you mention them? Don't they both make $$ on the sale.?

Black Shark 3 Won't Appear in Module Manager
pii replied to MonsterZero's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark 3
crashy? If you don't want two installs just delete the one you don't want. In this case the stable version and keep open beta. In the future run the DCS updater exe and it will UPDATE DCS not add a new install. I use it to start dcs and then it chacks for updates whenever I start DCS, after it checks for update it then starts DCS. Easy. -
The warthog is a extra fancy controller. however the stick has a very stiff spring that can make small adjustments hard to do on the 64d. You can easily remove it and not use a spring or buy a lighter spring Called a blue sprint. I have a WH and I repleced it with a Virpil base paired with the WH stick and that was perfect but cost about 250.00 . I also bought new rudder pedals but thats a personal taste . I didn't really need them but they improved things somewhat so I'm good with that cost. The new stick base and rudder pedals made a massive difference in controlling the helo. All the helos. Good luck I contest! while VR is cool i don't think it improved my flying at all. It doen't show you anything you can't see on a flat screen. It also blurs the view on my headset so for serious times I go 2d with a clear screen and able to see all my controls. but thats just me.

Someone told me it doesn't actually trim the pedals in that setting but it does tell the auto hold modes where to start from, its like an offset value. I think :0

I took the spring out of mine and replaced them with some rudder bands for a lighter feel when centering so I don't get that hard center. I find it very customizable with the dappner and a box of rubber bands and an easily removeablae spring. Nice review. I didn't even realize mine had two USB ports. I wonder if they have a joystick or trottle that attaches to them??? My only complaint is why didn't you do this review last month when I was searching the internet for reviews I finally just said screw it I'll buy them and see for myself. Glad I did. Enjoy!

Good for you #2. lol that doesn't quite sound right. FYI they estimated about 10 to 14 days for shipping but it arrived in 4 days, hopefully yours will also. Happy flying!

Santa has a whole bag of bribes, oops, I mean presents. He'll be on time.

They work perfectly out of the Box with DCS and everything else that flies (there is no third party software needed) and yes they are solid and I haven't regretted buying them for one second. Make sure you buy them from a seller that ships from the U.S.A. as it'll save you at least 50.00 maybe more in shipping fees from China. Mine shipped and arrived early from some place in NJ.

This. Seen it done in other games and sims and while it can run better in general its not that much better. For example xplane got about 10 fps more on my system. This.
