  1. Sounds like where I"m at. I'm still practicing landings and take off hovers. I was able to, for the first , land on a helo pad on a container ship. NERVE RACKING! It also was not pretty , I may have dented the front bumper.
  2. Just happened to watch a Wags video where he said you should use pedals or like he does, use a "good Hat switch." I used to use a twist grip with EECH and thought it worked pretty good but that was a Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago.
  3. My settings will not be your settings but I have 15 for all the joystick axis and a whopping 40 curve/80 sat on my pedals and it wasn't until I set that big 40 on the peddles that I could even beging to hover.. the rest was just practice practce but I'm no Eagle7 or Cosmo but I'm getting better at going up and down and still be living. I'm under the impression it's my pedals that are casuing me control problems as they seem very senitvie even with that big curve.
  4. Have you done any curve adjustments? EVERYTHING you complained about is a flight characteristic and a results of improper flight inputs for the real aircraft. Inshort, read more, watch more real pilot tutorials and some that arn't real pilots, learn to hover and PRACTICE. It will come togeather, I'm living proof as I had everyone of your complaints when I firsted started flying the Apache and today I made my first landing on a Helo pad on a Super Container Ship, nerve racking! It wasn't pretty either Good luck!
  5. DCS manuals generally sux. They tell you about the systems but many times don't tell you anything abou how to use them. The last good manual I read was for the first A10. Yeah a long time ago.
  6. I can never hear the instructor talking when in training missions, It sounds like he is outside next to the engine. No No guns are the easiest and you can shoot anything! Go nuts! Frankly I find all the weapons easy to deploy and use, once you find the correct buttons to push.
  7. I'm having trouble with the sensitivity of my Peddles should I use two or three toes
  8. My issue is the peddles are to damn sensitive with very little movement needed that makes me need a curve of 45 on the peddles or I'm all over the place. Its to the point where I have to BARELY put pressure on the peddle to make them work correctly, but then at some point the peddle will kind of slip and input far too much peddle and then when I let up on the peddle it swings back the other direction which begins the great swinging helo dance. If only I could find some peddle that were more precise and don't cost an arm and a leg to buy. My JS is fine in at least I can control it but will be looking into getting an extension and lighter spring. But 50 bucks for a spring seems excessive
  9. ahhh I was just joking but I do think it was cool someone came out of the hatch and engaged you. Maybe they should arm him with a rocket launcher though.
  10. I think the design of the two games are different. One is a game the other is far more serious and no fun Ok It's fun but not in the same way Janes stuff was. But no worries it has become my favorite module . Good stuff!
  11. That windshield isn't mush use against Bullets, apparently of any caliber I think its cool someone popped out of the hatch and shot though
  12. Another good way to get into how it works is to turn just your head until it lines up with the I beam and then fly towards your target.
  13. No kidding? That is why it is there. It's an aiming aid. If you don't have the beam in line with you direction and sight you will miss, you can't just say "I'm in range fire" .
  14. Well, Pizza is actually an American dish. Good night
  15. Cosmo likes auto so if its good enough for him......
  16. Sooo mechanics aren't pilots? Seriously though I watched seveal landing videos and got to understand what the heck is actually going on before I could land with a nice soft touchdown, in the place I was aiming to land, or even into a low hover. But its quite rewarding when you finally "get it" . Before that I landed like an AH-64 mechanic, In a pile of smoking rubble.
  17. Of course! You new to the Internet?
  18. Learn how to do it yourself, its more fun when you finally get it. Its taken me from day one till today to finally be able to (some what) hover and can land now fairly close to where I wanted to and not 3 miles away. Next step is to land on a little tiny wheenie pad. lol Now get back to training cadet and stop looking for a crutch.
  19. There is but not sure its for issues like this. It also isn't working right now. I tried it and it made me take off backwards. LOL
  20. When they don't list prices you might be correct
  21. I'm also really digging it. I am just learning take offs and landing and even those are a blast and challenging , to me.
